The Little Kitten is Saving the Villain Again Today! – Chapter 58

Ghost Tamer 10

Tang Xi walked out of the hospital room, not only with reddened eyes but also with flushed lips—clearly, he had been bullied quite harshly.

Ji Ziang only took one glance and felt a sharp pain, as if needles were piercing his eyes.

He knew this was Master Ji’s warning—no one was allowed to offend the ghost he had tamed.

Finally, the anxious parents waiting outside were allowed to enter. Upon seeing that their children were safe, they rushed forward with joy, embracing them tightly.

Some of the more rational parents repeatedly expressed their gratitude to Ji Fuqing and Tang Xi.

“You truly are the real deal!” One father wiped his tears and took out a large red envelope.

This incident had completely overturned their worldview. Before today, their impression of such masters had been of frauds dressed in Taoist robes, tricking people for money.

Yet, in just a short time, their children had woken up—even though medical equipment had failed to diagnose the cause of their condition.

Huang Xinxin’s mother, her eyes swollen from crying, held her daughter tightly and sighed, “There really are things in this world that science can’t explain.”

Huang Xinxin’s father added, “We should contact the doctors right away, and we need to schedule an appointment with a psychologist too!”

Amid the chaos, Tang Xi tugged at Ji Fuqing’s sleeve, wanting to slip away. Just then, Huang Xinxin suddenly spoke up, “Master, there have been rumors about a female ghost in the abandoned school building. Every student has heard about it. If you want to learn more, you can ask any student—or even a teacher.”

Tang Xi nodded, turned back to smile at her, but was immediately pulled away by Ji Fuqing.

Ji Ziang was left behind to handle the follow-up matters. Taking advantage of the moment, Chen Sheng approached him and respectfully asked Ji Fuqing, “Master Ji, would you like me to take you to the school?”

Tang Xi turned back to look at him, and without realizing it, tears of blood streamed from his eyes again.

Chen Sheng thought he was being threatened and immediately took a few steps back, not daring to get any closer.

This was a vengeful ghost with a decade of cultivation. If it suddenly attacked, it would be incredibly dangerous. He himself was only in his early twenties and hadn’t even cultivated for ten years yet.

Feeling awkward, Tang Xi wiped away the blood tears, but since he couldn’t find anything to use and was afraid of being noticed, he casually wiped them on Ji Fuqing’s sleeve.

It wasn’t intentional—he had just been momentarily dazzled by the sunlight.

However, after doing so, he noticed that Chen Sheng’s expression grew even more terrified.

He hadn’t expected the exorcist to be so easily scared—his courage must be even smaller than his own.

Out of kindness, Tang Xi kept his thoughts to himself and didn’t look at him again.

Chen Sheng had originally thought that this reckless ghost would be thrown out by Master Ji, but instead, Ji Fuqing gently raised his hand to shield him from the sunlight. Then, with a simple hand seal, he cleaned his sleeve, completely unfazed by the fact that he had just been used as a napkin.

Watching all of this unfold, Chen Sheng was filled with terror. He hadn’t expected this ghost to hold such a high status in Master Ji’s eyes. The elders had called him a mere plaything, but that was clearly far from the truth.

At this rate, if the ghost suddenly decided to eat him, Master Ji might not even stop it.

Finally, Chen Sheng became obedient and no longer dared to linger too close to Ji Fuqing.

Tang Xi spoke up, “Isn’t the principal at the same hospital as them? I want to see him.”

Ji Fuqing opened the car door and stuffed the little shiki inside. “The vice principal said he was discharged this morning.”

The principal had never actually been unconscious—he had just been frightened. In reality, he could have left the hospital much earlier, but out of fear for his life, he had delayed his discharge until this morning.

Unfortunately, they had just missed him.

Tang Xi felt a little disappointed. “Then let’s go to the school first.”

Not only could they ask the students about the rumored campus bullying incident, but they could also talk to the vice principal to find out where the principal had gone.

They only had three days to uncover the truth behind Tian Rourou’s death—there was no time to waste.

Today was Wednesday, so school was in session, and the campus was filled with students in uniform.

Every student passing by the school gate looked at them with curiosity, some openly staring, others stealing glances.

Through the car window, Tang Xi locked eyes with a tall male student. Instinctively, he smiled.

The boy, caught off guard, awkwardly returned a stiff smile.

Tang Xi waved him over and handed him a chilled bottle of cola from the car.

Once the boy took the drink, he started asking about the school rumors.

The student pressed the cold bottle against his skin and, without hesitation, began to speak. “They say that over ten years ago, a female student jumped off the abandoned school building. Her ghost never left, so when the school built a new academic building, they abandoned the old one. The teachers tell us it’s structurally unsafe and we’re not allowed to go near it.”

Every school had its own ghost stories, and as he spoke, the student became more and more animated. He opened the cola, took a sip, and continued, “But we don’t believe that. It must be haunted—why else wouldn’t they let us near it? Some people have even claimed to see a woman’s shadow flickering in the windows at night.”

Tang Xi asked, “Do you know why the girl in the rumor jumped?”

The student nodded. “I heard that over ten years ago, there was a girl in Class 6 of Grade 12. Her family was so poor she couldn’t even afford food, so she would sometimes scavenge from the trash. Because of that, she was bullied relentlessly—students called her ‘garbage.’ She was so poor that she couldn’t even pay her tuition, and the teachers just turned a blind eye to the bullying. Eventually, she couldn’t take it anymore and jumped from the classroom window of Class 6 in front of everyone.”

Class 6 of Grade 12—the very same classroom where they had seen Tian Rourou that night in the abandoned school building.

“The girl who was bullied—was her name Tian Rourou?”

“Tian Rourou?” The boy seemed completely clueless. He scratched his head and said, “I have no idea. The story never mentioned her name.”

Tang Xi nodded, feeling a little disappointed, but still smiled at the boy. “Thank you.”

“N-No problem.” The boy’s face inexplicably turned red.

Tang Xi turned back. “Let’s ask some other people.”

It wasn’t just about the mission—deep down, he genuinely wanted to do something for the poor girl, Tian Rourou.

Ji Fuqing lowered his gaze. “No need.”

“Why not?” Tang Xi’s eyes widened in surprise.

Ji Fuqing replied, “You’re a vengeful ghost. Too much contact with humans isn’t good for you.”

He knew it was his own possessiveness acting up. Seeing the little shiki smiling at a human made his heart twist with jealousy. A part of him wanted to strip away Tang Xi’s visible form, turning him back into a ghost that only he could see and touch.

What the poop scooper said was right—if he started bleeding ghostly tears again while talking to humans, it would be a problem.

Without thinking too much about it, Tang Xi obediently rolled up the car window.

1551 suddenly spoke up: [Silly cat.]

Tang Xi: [Why are you insulting me out of nowhere?!]

1551 sent a playful tongue-out emoji and then disappeared again.

Not wanting to deal with the system anymore, Tang Xi poked the man beside him—only to have his mischievous finger caught.

Ji Fuqing played with the boy’s fingers while casually glancing at Chen Sheng, who was sitting in the driver’s seat.

A chill ran down Chen Sheng’s spine. He didn’t dare play any tricks in front of Master Ji. Reading the situation, he quickly said, “I’ll go gather some information on campus.”

Tang Xi could only watch helplessly as Chen Sheng swiftly opened the car door and got out.

He tried to pull his fingers free but failed—instead, Ji Fuqing held them even tighter. Confused, Tang Xi looked up at him.

“I want to go too. Don’t worry, I won’t talk to humans or make eye contact with them. Nothing will go wrong.”

Ji Fuqing stared at those endlessly chattering lips for a few seconds before leaning in to seal them with his own.

Ever since that kiss in the hospital room, it was as if he had flipped a switch—he had fallen in love with this act.

Now, whenever he got the chance, he would pull the little shiki into his arms and kiss him.

If the little shiki whimpered in discomfort, he would withdraw his tongue and switch to gentle pecks instead.

Tang Xi’s eyes reddened as he protested, “You’re bullying a ghost.”

Ji Fuqing raised a hand, summoning a few streaks of golden light. In an instant, Tang Xi’s cat ears and tail reappeared under the influence of the light, though he had no idea how it happened.

As he rubbed the sensitive base of the cat tail, Ji Fuqing licked the corner of Tang Xi’s lips and murmured, “You are my shiki, my tamed vengeful ghost. Every inch of you belongs to me. This isn’t bullying.”

He pulled back slightly, meeting Tang Xi’s cat-like eyes and whispering, “This is a seal.”

The warm golden light was irresistibly soothing. Tang Xi, feeling the pleasurable sensation of his tail being stroked, wanted to escape but couldn’t bear to leave such a comfortable embrace.

The icy chill of a vengeful ghost could only be dispelled by the spiritual energy of its poop scooper—like the sun dispersing the fog.

His waist trembled as he tried to flee, but his tail instinctively curled around the man.

Ji Fuqing even had the audacity to ask him how it felt.

Tang Xi let out a whimper, a mix of discomfort and something strange. His entire ghostly form was tinged with a soft pink, even the tips of his ears blushing.

Just as Tang Xi was on the verge of tears from being “bullied,” Ji Fuqing finally let go, forming a cleansing spell with his fingers. One wasn’t enough—he had to cast several more before he could fully suppress his own reaction.

Tang Xi, having been thoroughly teased, turned his back on Ji Fuqing in anger. But his tail, betraying him, unconsciously rested on the man’s thigh, seeking warmth.

Ji Fuqing pinched the tip of the tail and smoothed down the fur.

But smoothing it down didn’t help—Tang Xi, still sulking, turned around and manually tucked his disobedient tail away, hugging it in frustration.

Faced with this situation, Ji Fuqing played his trump card. He reached into his storage space and pulled out three thick incense sticks, each as wide as a bowl.

Tang Xi twitched his little nose, and the tip of his tail immediately gave him away, swaying slightly.

He tried to resist with dignity, but the moment Ji Fuqing lit two of the incense sticks, his defenses crumbled completely.

Vanilla ice cream and squirrel-shaped sweet-and-sour fish—

Ji Fuqing had successfully lured in a greedy little kitten.

Hugging the two incense sticks in his arms, Tang Xi instantly forgot his anger. He inhaled deeply from one side, then the other, his face filled with bliss.

To those who knew, he was merely enjoying an offering. To those who didn’t, it looked as if he was high on catnip.

With the little kitten no longer upset, Ji Fuqing seized the opportunity to pull him back into his embrace, occasionally kissing his cat ears.

Whenever Tang Xi was eating, he was completely absorbed in his food, paying no attention to the kisses.

At most, he would flick his cat ears in an attempt to shoo the man away.

Ji Fuqing slowly shifted his focus from the cat ears to the delicate nape of Tang Xi’s neck, leaving behind possessive marks.

Tang Xi, curled up on those firm thighs, was comfortably using the man as a personal heater, eyes half-closed in enjoyment—until a soft knock sounded against the car window.
