The Escaping Little Snow White Ferret from the Black Moonlight Camp – Chapter 33

Chapter 33 – Sweetheart from the Sky: The Gentle CEO’s Sweet Kiss (33)

Jianxin Company occupied a vast area, with towering skyscrapers and factory buildings that were clearly worth a fortune. How could it have been so easily acquired by the He Corporation?

The company had strict access control, with several security guards stationed at the entrance. Without an appointment, Bai Mo had no way of getting inside. He could only find a shady spot outside to wait. From what he had seen on the map, there was only one road leading in and out of Jianxin Company. As long as Madam Dan came out, he would be able to see her.

“Xiao Bobao, how exactly did Madam Dan get involved with Jianxin Company?” The waiting process was dull and tedious, so Bai Mo made casual conversation with Xiao Bobao to pass the time.

The panda-like Xiao Bobao perked up with gossip, even stopping mid-bite on her bamboo. “Oh, now this is interesting! According to my investigation, the former CEO of Jianxin Company—the one who got arrested—had a ‘special relationship’ with that woman.”

“What kind of special relationship?” Xiao Bobao was being vague, and Bai Mo didn’t quite catch the meaning.

“You know… that kind of relationship. Hehehe. The same kind of ‘happiness’ you want with the male lead but always get interrupted by Ning Ning…”

Screech!

A sharp braking sound came from the straight road ahead. Bai Mo peeked out from behind the tree and saw that the license plate belonged to the very taxi that had been tailing him.

“Xiao Bobao, what about the taxi driver? Is she okay?” Bai Mo’s eyes were fixed on the vampire couple who had practically tumbled out of the car, vomiting. But what worried him more was the brave taxi driver who had volunteered to divert their attention.

“She’s fine. Once they caught up with her and realized you weren’t in the car, they came looking for you.” Xiao Bobao reported dutifully.

Before Bai Mo could even breathe a sigh of relief, the Bai couple, who had been crouching on the ground vomiting, spotted him with their sharp eyes.

There was only one road, wide and unobstructed. The greenery along the way wasn’t dense enough to hide a person completely.

Bai Mo had caused the Bai couple plenty of trouble and suffering. Ever since he escaped from the bookstore, they hadn’t had a single peaceful day. Someone was constantly targeting them—no matter where they moved, debt collectors and old enemies would always track them down within 24 hours, forcing them to flee in panic.

Finally, with the help of a certain mysterious young lady who provided them with information, they learned the truth—all of this was because of Bai Mo.

Those people chasing them were all sent by Bai Mo’s fiancé. They never killed them outright; instead, they played a sick game of cat and mouse, tormenting them both physically and psychologically without ever giving them a quick death.

The Bai couple was filled with hatred. That little brat had found himself a rich fiancé and thought he could just fly away, breaking free from their control.

To get back at Bai Mo, they demanded information about his whereabouts from Dan Xiaowen. If He Yuchi wouldn’t let them live, then they wouldn’t hold back from harming his precious darling. They had already contacted a buyer—first, they would extort a hefty sum from the He family, and then they would sell the brat off. Once they had the money, they’d flee abroad. The world is vast, and surely the He family’s influence couldn’t reach overseas.

Dan Xiaowen was more than happy to see Bai Mo suffer, so she had no reason to refuse their request. The moment she learned that Bai Mo was heading to the hospital to pick up the old master, she immediately passed this information to the Bai couple.

By the time the Bai couple received the news, it was already a bit late. Originally, they wouldn’t have been able to catch Bai Mo, but as fate would have it, the old master was hospitalized for a second time. While Bai Mo was out dealing with Madam Dan, the Bai couple had been lying in wait at the hospital entrance—and sure enough, they finally spotted their prey.

Greed blinded them. This time, the Bai couple was dead set on capturing Bai Mo. The dizziness from their earlier car chase no longer mattered.

The first to launch an attack was Father Bai. Though he appeared frail and hunched over, he had surprising strength. In the past, he had beaten Bai Mo black and blue—and to him, Bai Mo was now nothing more than a caged bird, completely at his mercy.

Just then, another car approached and slowly pulled up to the entrance. Jianxin Company’s automatic gates slid open, and Madam Dan stepped out, accompanied by a man in a suit and two bodyguards trailing behind.

Just as Madam Dan reached for the car door, about to get in, Bai Mo saw the Bai couple lunging toward him. In a split second, a clever idea struck him—he dashed toward Madam Dan, shouting at the top of his lungs:

“Help! Save me!”

Before anyone could fully grasp what was happening, Bai Mo had already darted behind Madam Dan, using her as a human shield.

“They’re trying to grab me—help!”

The boy’s breathing was erratic, a thin layer of sweat forming on his face, causing strands of hair to stick to his forehead. His flushed cheeks were filled with panic as he desperately turned to Ji Jian, the president of Jianxin Company, pleading for help.

“Save me! They’re not good people…”

His soft, sweet voice carried a desperate plea.

A black moonlight is still a moonlight. If someone can become the male lead’s black moonlight, they must have an outstanding appearance. And now, with the ferret soul enhancing his already striking features, Bai Mo’s presence was even more captivating than the original host’s.

Most people are drawn to beauty, and Ji Jian was no exception. The tragic yet delicate sight of the helpless boy left a strong impression on him. He extended a hand toward Bai Mo.

“Come stand behind me.”

Bai Mo cast him a grateful look, his red-rimmed eyes brimming with unshed tears.

“Thank you, sir, for your help~”

Receiving such admiration and gratitude greatly satisfied Ji Jian’s ego. At his command, his two bodyguards easily subdued the Bai couple. Wanting to further impress Bai Mo, Ji Jian even ordered his men to rough them up a bit.

Madam Dan, however, had no interest in getting involved. She only wanted to follow Ji Jian’s arrangements, rendezvous with Dan Xiaowen, and leave the country as soon as possible.

She had no intention of interfering. Just as she opened her car door to leave—

A hand snatched the folder from her grasp.

Madam Dan turned around sharply. It was that same boy who had begged for help earlier.

Bai Mo quickly unsealed the folder and skimmed through its contents at lightning speed.

Inside was:

The He-Dan commercial project proposal,

Photos and chat records exposing the previous Jianxin Company president’s collusion with bribed employees from both He Corporation and Dan Group,

A voice recorder—which Bai Mo played.

The recording featured Ji Jian’s voice, threatening the former company president into taking the fall for all crimes. That so-called confession? A scapegoat’s plea deal.

Realizing this was the real truth, Bai Mo was shocked.

He had originally assumed Madam Dan was here for a lover or, at most, leveraging personal connections to flee. But he never expected the situation to be this deep.

“Why is it you? How did you even find me?”

Madam Dan finally recognized Bai Mo despite his disguise. A flash of malice flickered in her eyes.

There was a road to heaven, yet he refused to take it. And now he had barged into hell’s gate himself.

If not for Bai Mo, her daughter could have married He Yuchi, and she herself would have climbed even higher in the circle of wealthy socialites.

At the same time, Ji Jian’s expression instantly darkened as he watched Bai Mo forcibly inspect the documents.

He grabbed Bai Mo’s wrist, trying to snatch back the folder.

“Give it to me.”

Madam Dan sneered, her voice venomous.

“He’s the youngest son of the Dan family. Now that he knows everything, we can’t let him leave to warn anyone.”

She had already hated Bai Mo for repeatedly ruining her and her daughter’s plans.

“Take him!”

The moment Madam Dan revealed Bai Mo’s identity, Ji Jian knew he couldn’t let the boy escape. Though he managed to seize back the folder, Bai Mo had already memorized everything inside.

Ji Jian quickly called back his two bodyguards. Along with the Bai couple—who had also unwillingly overheard too much— all of them were forcibly taken inside the company.
