Chapter 274- Gloomy Blood Servant vs. Obsessive Vampire Prince (07)

If possible, Mu Jin even wanted to take the relationship with his lover a step further, to fully unite with him. However, he dared not rush things. After all, their relationship was still awkward, and his lover didn’t have memories of this world.

They would be staying in this world for a long time, and Mu Jin wasn’t fond of any tragic love drama. He simply wanted to spend a sweet and peaceful life with the one he loved. So, even though he felt restless, he was willing to play the role of a hunter for the sake of his lover.

He only hoped that his lover wouldn’t keep him waiting too long. Otherwise, this time, he might truly lose control. Mu Jin took a deep breath, his gaze dark and intense as he looked at Huangfu Yu in front of him, almost wishing he could push him down and devour him right then.

As for the kisses, hugs, and close contact, he would consider them as interest for now. After all, if he didn’t get a taste of something sweet, Mu Jin felt he might quickly lose his sanity.

Having seen his lover and already gained some small advantages, Mu Jin was reluctant to further disturb Huangfu Yu’s rest. So, he told him he would give him some time to think, then left the room.

After arriving in this world, Mu Jin had spent time handling matters related to his lover, but he hadn’t yet had a chance to check on the estate or the affairs of the Malkavian clan.

Though Mu Jin wasn’t particularly interested in wielding power, he still needed to manage the affairs of the Malkavian clan to some extent, ensuring complete control. After all, the Malkavian clan now stood at the pinnacle of Country H.

He also wanted to understand the extent to which the Malkavian clan had supported the Huangfu family over the years.

After leaving the room, Mu Jin went to the study next door. Although he could have worked from there, he was worried about disturbing his lover’s rest.

Mu Jin summoned a servant and asked them to inform Wallis that he wanted to know what had happened during his years of slumber and to familiarize himself with the current state of the Malkavian clan.

As expected, Wallis quickly arrived, delighted to stand by Mu Jin’s side. Along with him stood a voluptuous, beautiful female vampire.

The woman had chestnut curls and alluring deep green eyes, full of charm. As she faced Mu Jin, her gaze was moist, making her appear all the more enticing.

Mu Jin frowned slightly upon seeing the situation. Through the system, he knew that the woman’s name was Julia. In the original plot, this woman fell in love with the male protagonist and betrayed the Malkavian clan by cooperating with him from both inside and outside, bringing him in. In the end, she even died at the hands of her own clan while protecting the male protagonist, Huangfu Jian.

The Malkavian clan had expanded greatly in country H, and it was naturally impossible for Wallis to handle everything by himself. He had a few trusted subordinates, and Julia was one of them.

Julia was a fourth-level vampire, on par with Wallis, and she was a smart and beautiful woman. Reflecting on the original host’s memories, Julia had always harbored affection for him.

Of course, this affection was not pure; it was more of a psychological admiration for strength, as she wanted to possess the original host.

The original host had always been aloof, with no one by his side. Vampires, with their long lives, often led quite open private lives, and Julia was no exception. Although she had many lovers, she always coveted the original host, hoping to develop a romantic relationship with him.

However, the original host had no interest in such matters. No matter how openly or subtly Julia tried to seduce him, it was as if she were winking at a blind man. Even up until his death, the original host never acknowledged Julia’s intentions.

Despite Julia’s affection for many, she couldn’t escape the destiny tied to the male protagonist. After meeting him, she decisively changed her heart, wholeheartedly devoted herself to him, and even sacrificed her life to protect him. However, she didn’t meet a happy end.

Mu Jin had no interest in Julia’s romantic history, but since she was capable of betraying the Malkavian clan, he knew he had to be cautious around her. However, since she hadn’t done anything yet, Mu Jin wouldn’t act against her immediately.

In a short period, the entire Malkavian clan learned of Mu Jin’s awakening. Everyone was overjoyed, and if it weren’t for the fact that their vast enterprises were spread too far and wide for everyone to return quickly, they would have held a grand celebration.

The closest to the manor were Wallis and Julia, especially since Julia had always been managing the affairs of the Huangfu family. She followed Wallis and appeared before Mu Jin.

Upon seeing Mu Jin, Julia immediately struck her most alluring pose, tossing her chestnut curls and speaking in a soft, seductive tone: “You’ve finally awakened, my master.”

The last four words were spoken with tender affection, full of boundless sentiment. However, Mu Jin remained unmoved, giving her only a cold nod before turning his attention to ask Wallis about recent developments.

Wallis eagerly reported on the events that had transpired during Mu Jin’s years of slumber, though he did not focus on matters concerning their industries. In country H, the Malkavian clan wasn’t the only vampire faction in power; other vampire clans had always coveted their influence.

Even though their clan had long distanced itself from the center of past conflicts, where there are people, there will always be struggles. Especially in recent years, with the rapid development of country H, other vampires have grown envious of the Malkavian clan’s current status.

Fortunately, Wallis was highly skilled in managing such affairs, keeping everything running smoothly over the years. But during this time, the original host had been in a state of prolonged slumber and unconsciousness.

Without a powerful vampire prince overseeing things, stability was hard to maintain. This had stirred the ambitions of other vampire forces, who were now scheming to grab a share of the power.

Therefore, Wallis strongly hoped that Mu Jin would make a public appearance, letting others know that he had truly awakened, as a way to exert a deterrent effect.

After all, bloodline hierarchy among vampires was strictly enforced, and Mu Jin’s talents far surpassed those of many third-generation vampires. His presence would help Wallis solidify the clan’s standing.

Understanding this, Mu Jin naturally did not refuse Wallis’s request. Having sacrificed much for the Malkavian clan, Mu Jin, though a hands-off leader, was fully willing to cooperate.

However, the meeting place for the vampire leaders in country H was not in this city, so if Mu Jin wanted to attend, he would have to leave for a few days. This meant he would have to be away from his lover, something Mu Jin was naturally reluctant to do.

Earlier, the doctor had been summoned and said that Huangfu Yu was not seriously injured and that with some rest and care, he would recover quickly. Allowing him to rest well was important. Mu Jin ultimately decided to speed things up and handle the clan’s affairs within the next two days, giving Huangfu Yu some time to recuperate.

While Mu Jin and Wallis were discussing the schedule, Huangfu Yu had fallen into a deep, exhausted sleep after Mu Jin left the room. When he woke again, it was already the afternoon of the next day.

Not seeing the little guy from the previous day, Huangfu Yu felt a bit empty inside. He didn’t know that Mu Jin had temporarily left the city to handle some business, but the servants, noticing that he was awake, dutifully prepared a lavish meal for him.

If Huangfu Yu had been filled with despair before, he no longer felt that way. Although he hadn’t yet agreed to Mu Jin’s offer, nor did he know what exactly Mu Jin was asking for, he had regained hope for life. As a result, Huangfu Yu naturally wouldn’t neglect his health.

After eating his fill, he stood up and put on the clothes that had been prepared for him in advance. Once dressed, he stood by the window, taking in the view of the manor.

Perhaps looking outside from the window wasn’t quite enough for him, so Huangfu Yu left the room. When he finally set foot on the land outside and took in the sight of the manor, he suddenly had a feeling of stepping into another world. It was as if he had been given a second chance at life.

He breathed in the fresh air outside, completely unaware that in just a few days, his life had undergone a dramatic transformation.

The man reached out to touch a flower in front of him. Seeing the dense and vibrant greenery of the garden added a considerable amount of life to the surroundings. However, just as his hand brushed against the soft petals, a woman’s light laughter came from nearby.

Huangfu Yu turned his head and saw a voluptuous and beautiful woman standing not far from him. She was gently caressing a freshly picked rose, her gaze scanning him lightly. The way she seemed to appraise him from head to toe felt uncomfortable to Huangfu Yu.

Furrowing his brow, he turned away, not wanting to acknowledge the woman. To his surprise, she walked directly in front of him and said, “So, you’re the new favorite beside the master?”

Her words were clearly laced with insult, as if she deliberately intended to provoke him. Yet, Huangfu Yu felt no stir of emotion inside. He merely glanced at her and then shifted his attention back to the nearby plants.

He realized that the “master” she mentioned must be the youthful man with the doll-like face who had been beside him the day before. After the young man left in the evening, he had not seen him again. He wondered where that charming vampire youth had gone.

However, Julia didn’t leave when Huangfu Yu ignored her. Instead, she circled around him, seemingly critiquing him as she walked.

After examining him carefully, Julia smiled at Huangfu Yu and said, “You’re quite impressive. I heard the master actually fed on your blood, which has never happened before. The master has always been very averse to touching others, whether they are human, animal, or vampire. Over the years, no one has ever caught his eye. So, what makes you so special that you could move into the master’s room? This truly piques my interest.”

A flash of jealousy crossed the woman’s eyes, but Huangfu Yu caught it. There were many servants around the garden, and when the woman mentioned that Mu Jin only drank his blood, several others shared the same envious expression on their faces.
