Chapter 272- Gloomy Blood Servant vs. Obsessive Vampire Prince (05)
Mu Jin gently bit through Huangfu Yu’s earlobe and slowly licked and savored the fresh blood that flowed out. However, that was all there was to it. This did not satisfy his hunger but still allowed him to taste the flavor of his lover.
Dizziness washed over him, and a flush crept uncontrollably onto Huangfu Yu’s pale face. He breathed heavily, his gaze hazy. The surging waves overwhelmed him, making him feel as if his soul had been touched by the other person.
The taste of his lover’s blood was as sweet as Mu Jin had imagined, leaving one wanting more. Indeed, for a blood clan, blood was the most tempting food. However, Mu Jin had no further thoughts; the wound that his tongue had touched quickly healed.
Mu Jin pinched Huangfu Yu’s chin, forcing him to look directly into his eyes. After staring at each other for a long while, he finally took a step back.
Mu Jin did not continue to feed. Instead, he spoke flatly, “Despairing blood won’t have any sweet flavor; your taste should be better.”
The other person’s expression remained unchanged, and his voice was soft, making Huangfu Yu feel as if those words were the murmurs of a lover. His little lover was complaining that the taste of his blood wasn’t delicious enough.
Huangfu Yu even had the illusion that he should kneel on one knee the next moment, expressing his apologies to him. He wanted to ask for the forgiveness of this young man opposite him, for failing to meet his expectations. He would strive to make his blood taste better, just to satisfy his appetite.
But it was clear that Huangfu Yu could not quickly achieve his expectations. Because in the past few days, he had gone through tremendous upheavals: being drugged, captured, escaping, being beaten, and rendered mute by poison. He hadn’t had a good rest for a long time.
Even after being brought to the Malkavian estate, although the people below did not treat him harshly—just locking him in a dim but relatively spacious guest room and not cutting off his food—it still couldn’t ease his tense nerves.
The stimulation from the recent blood-sucking had pushed the man’s taut nerves to their peak. Huangfu Yu took a heavy breath, looking at the youth staring at him, but all he could see was the scene before him gradually darkening. Eventually, he collapsed, losing consciousness entirely.
At the moment when Huangfu Yu fainted, he did not, as imagined, make intimate contact with the ground. Mu Jin was standing right in front of him and swiftly caught him.
At first, Mu Jin was a little shocked, thinking that he hadn’t taken too much blood—surely not enough to cause him to faint from anemia.
However, Mu Jin quickly realized that the man’s mental and physical state were both in poor condition. The dark circles under Huangfu Yu’s eyes made Mu Jin feel a pang of heartache. His lover must have reached his limit, which is why he collapsed right in front of him.
Seeing that Huangfu Yu had been caught by Mu Jin, Wallis was immediately alarmed, thinking that such a task should not be handled by his master. Wallis quickly extended his arms and said to Mu Jin, “Master, he’s already passed out. Let me take care of him.”
But Mu Jin shook his head and instead scooped Huangfu Yu up horizontally, carrying him to the spacious bed in the room.
Huangfu Yu was tall, nearly 1.9 meters in height, which made him seem like a giant compared to Mu Jin, who was just over 1.7 meters. Yet Mu Jin effortlessly lifted him.
Although a small person carrying such a large figure—especially horizontally—might seem comical to an outsider, no one in the manor would dare to mock Mu Jin or challenge his authority. Even Wallis, upon seeing Mu Jin’s actions, could only feel a cold sweat break out on his forehead.
In Wallis’ mind, Huangfu Yu was merely a blood servant, unworthy of sleeping in the master’s bed. However, since Mu Jin had personally done this, Wallis had no choice but to refrain from throwing him out. He could only look at Mu Jin with some confusion, wondering what his master intended to do.
After placing Huangfu Yu on the bed, Mu Jin sat beside him, reaching out to gently stroke his lover’s cheek, a wave of tenderness swelling in his heart.
Noticing the gaze from the person beside him, Mu Jin turned to Wallis and said, “Wallis, have someone prepare easily digestible food, add an extra set of daily necessities to this room, and bring some clothes suitable for him to wear here as well.”
“Master, are you planning to let him stay in your room?” Wallis’ eyes widened in shock as he stared at his master.
His master had always been aloof and unapproachable, never allowing anyone close to him. Wallis considered himself fortunate just to be able to tend to his daily needs, let alone witness someone staying overnight in the master’s room.
To this branch of the Malkavian family, Mu Jin was like a God. But why would such a distant, divine figure now grow close to a lowly blood servant, someone so insignificant?
Though Wallis grumbled inwardly, when he saw the hint of softness in Mu Jin’s eyes as he gazed at Huangfu Yu, a chill ran down his spine. He was startled, wondering what extraordinary qualities this Huangfu Yu possessed.
Still, the fact that he could bring a touch of warmth to his master was enough to prove this human’s worth.
Vampires have eternal lifespans, and they are well-practiced in enjoying their lives. But this did not seem to apply to his master. For many years, his master’s life had been monotone, untouched by anything in the outside world.
Wallis felt deeply grateful to Mu Jin, considering him his benefactor. Naturally, he did not wish for Mu Jin’s life to remain so dull and hoped that he could learn to enjoy everything he was meant to have.
Now, finally, a person had appeared who piqued his master’s interest. Regardless of who this person was or how long this interest would last, it was enough to excite Wallis.
Thus, once he came to his senses, Wallis immediately left the room, eager to arrange everything Mu Jin instructed for the accommodation of Huangfu Yu.
Wallis was quick and meticulous in his tasks, and Mu Jin felt very reassured to leave things in his hands. Before long, the room had been outfitted with a wardrobe. The servant placed many clothes in Huangfu Yu’s size inside the wardrobe, including bathrobes, disguises, and some interesting accessories.
Of course, Mu Jin was unaware of this. To guard against the possibility of his master suddenly taking an interest, Wallis had specially chosen some clothing and items he thought would satisfy his master, but Mu Jin was not aware of this situation.
In just half an hour, his room had been completely transformed into a place suitable for two people to live together. Mu Jin was very satisfied when he saw this and nodded at Wallis.
Seeing Mu Jin’s attitude, Wallis felt increasingly that he understood his master’s intentions, making him even happier.
When Huangfu Yu awoke again, it was already evening. The sky outside was dim, and the twilight of the setting sun cast a warm glow on the earth, making the entire manor seem much more serene. Mu Jin sat on the sofa next to the floor-to-ceiling window, with some materials laid out on the coffee table beside him.
Although he already knew about Huangfu Yu’s background thanks to System 003, Mu Jin still instructed the staff to bring in a more detailed report.
For many years, the Huangfu family had relied on the Malkavian clan, and as agreed, they offered a blood servant every thirty years. However, the Malkavian clan did not impose much oversight on the Huangfu family beyond this support; after all, to the Malkavian family, the Huangfu family was merely an ordinary human clan.
For them, the real threat came only from the blood clan, which led to the Malkavian clan remaining unaware of the Huangfu family’s deceptive practices over the years. However, given the Malkavian family’s power, it wouldn’t be difficult for them to investigate this matter if they truly wanted to.
So when this information was presented in a short amount of time, Mu Jin noticed that his subordinate, Wallis, was unable to contain his fury.
Seeing Wallis’s expression, Mu Jin gently patted the man’s shoulder and reassured him, “Wallis, there’s no need to be angry over such a trivial matter.”
At this, Wallis knelt on one knee and pleaded, “No, Master, this is all my negligence. I underestimated the Huangfu family’s audacity. I never expected they would dare to deceive us by using these unknown humans to impersonate their family’s children. They are challenging the authority of the Malkavian clan!”
As Wallis spoke, a cold glint flashed in his eyes. However, Mu Jin simply shook his head at the sight and casually said, “I have a plan regarding this matter. For now, let the Huangfu family remain; I have other intentions.”
Wallis was momentarily taken aback by Mu Jin’s words but quickly nodded in agreement. Since his master had decided to take action himself, he naturally could not dampen his master’s enthusiasm.
