Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 271

Chapter 271- Gloomy Blood Servant vs. Obsessive Vampire Prince (04)

Sitting up, Mu Jin tidied his clothes. Though this was the original host’s “solitude” chamber, it wasn’t his actual room. After all, the idea of vampires sleeping in coffins was an exaggerated trope from movies and novels.

No one, not even vampires, disliked comfort. With so much wealth at their disposal, they naturally preferred soft beds over anything else. They only chose coffins when they needed a more secure, secluded place to protect their bodies during long periods of sleep.

High-ranking vampires didn’t fear sunlight. Legends about garlic and crosses were equally baseless—they posed no threat at all. Unless someone drove a silver stake into their hearts, no one could take Mu Jin’s life.

Even though he had inherited the original host’s memories, and knew that the Malkavian family vampires were nothing short of graceful when not in the throes of madness, Mu Jin still couldn’t stop worrying about his lover’s condition.

After emerging from the coffin, Mu Jin quickly returned to his room in the estate. Although the original host had not left the chamber in many years, the room remained spotless, clearly well-maintained by regular cleaning.

The decor was simple yet elegant, with understated, tasteful colors. However, what Mu Jin loved most was the huge bed—he didn’t even need to touch it to know how soft it was.

He almost had the urge to leap onto it and roll around, but as much as he liked rolling around himself, he much preferred rolling around with someone else.

As Mu Jin moved freely through the estate, the others had already sensed his awakening the moment he left the chamber. However, no one dared to approach him. The original host had been a bit reclusive, and unless summoned, no one was permitted to appear before him uninvited.

Mu Jin closed his eyes and rested in the room for a while longer, using his and 003’s energy to fully restore his body, paying special attention to his mental state. After confirming that everything was in good condition, he pressed the button on the wall.

Not long after, there was a knock at the door.

When Mu Jin called out, “Come in,” the door opened, and a strikingly handsome man with blond hair, wearing a black suit and gold-rimmed glasses, stood at the entrance.

From the original host’s memories, Mu Jin knew that this was Wallis, the most capable of the original host’s subordinates. Wallis was extremely loyal. As a powerful fourth-generation vampire, he had been more quickly affected by the Malkavian family’s curse than others, rapidly descending into madness.

Without the original host’s potion and the pressure from a third-generation vampire, Wallis’s fate would have been insanity and the loss of his identity. Over the years, he had stayed by the original host’s side, unwavering in his loyalty, essentially serving as the original host’s right-hand man.

“Master, you’re awake,” Wallis said, bowing respectfully before Mu Jin, his eyes filled with barely concealed excitement.

Mu Jin had been asleep for so long that, apart from the occasional outbursts from the underground chamber every few years, he had never left it. Now that his master had not only left the chamber but appeared fully awake and composed, Wallis couldn’t help but feel a surge of emotion.

Mu Jin nodded, softening his expression slightly at Wallis’s attitude. Wallis then asked, “Master, would you like to dine?”

Upon hearing this, Mu Jin recalled the original host’s habits. Although the original host did consume fresh blood, he didn’t like direct contact with blood thralls. He would typically have his servants serve the blood in a cup.

So, even if they collected Huangfu Yu’s blood, if Mu Jin didn’t specifically request it, they would likely just bring the blood to him in a cup, without presenting the person directly.

As this thought crossed Mu Jin’s mind, his gaze sharpened, and he addressed Wallis, “Has the thirty-year term ended? Has the new blood thrall from the Huangfu family arrived?”

Wallis respectfully replied, “He was just delivered and hasn’t been harvested yet.”

Though his master had never shown much interest in blood thralls before, since Mu Jin had asked, Wallis answered diligently. He couldn’t understand why his master would suddenly take an interest in an insignificant blood thrall from the Huangfu family.

“Bring him here,” Mu Jin ordered coolly.

“Yes, Master,” Wallis replied promptly and left to handle the request himself, as he always did with Mu Jin’s meals.

Though Mu Jin’s request differed from the original host’s usual habits, Wallis assumed that perhaps today, Mu Jin wanted to drink the blood directly. So, he took a bit more time to ensure that Huangfu Yu was thoroughly washed and dressed in fresh clothes before presenting him to Mu Jin.

The door was knocked on once more, and Wallis entered the room, leading a tall man inside. The man was dressed in a black shirt and trousers, standing straight and tall, his sharp features revealing a strikingly handsome face.

However, the light in his amber eyes had dulled; they were now filled with a lifeless gray, void of the spirit they once had.

Huangfu Yu’s lips were cracked, and his overall condition appeared poor. He had suffered numerous injuries while trying to escape, and Mu Jin could still make out faint marks on his wrists where the ropes had dug in—evidence of his struggle to break free from his restraints back at the Huangfu household.

Now, the man stood before him like a soulless puppet, his mechanical demeanor causing Mu Jin to frown. His heart ached for his lover, and the resentment he harbored toward the Huangfu family only deepened.

While Mu Jin was scrutinizing Huangfu Yu, the latter also glanced at Mu Jin. After his failed escape, Huangfu Yu had fallen into utter despair, especially after overhearing the conversation between Huangfu Hongzhi and the butler.

In the man’s mind, being brought here meant resigning to the fate of either being drained of blood or killed. Though he was human, he was being treated like livestock.

No one cared how much resentment he harbored, or how deeply he hated them. His so-called family had even gone so far as to poison and mute him, all to cover up their lies.

Huangfu Yu had spent 27 years in the Huangfu family, constantly striving to earn his grandfather’s love and approval. He had worked tirelessly to excel at everything, closing successful deals and achieving remarkable accomplishments. Yet, no matter what he did, not once had he seen a glimmer of affection or approval on his grandfather’s face.

All those years of working like a mule for the Huangfu family were nothing more than a cruel joke.

Indeed, who would care about a replacement, someone destined to die? His entire existence had been reduced to serving as food stock for the vampires.

With an emotionless expression, Huangfu Yu stared at the petite figure of the vampire before him. Based on how the other vampires treated him, Huangfu Yu could tell that this person held a high status.

Short black hair, ruby-like eyes, and unnaturally pale skin with a hint of blood around the lower eyelids—everything about this figure confirmed that he was no ordinary human. Yet, Huangfu Yu couldn’t help but acknowledge how striking the person’s appearance was.

Even with the hint of madness that seemed to lurk in those crimson eyes, Huangfu Yu had to admit that the young vampire was quite attractive. If he had met this person in the past, he might have even admired his looks.

But now, he no longer had the heart for such thoughts. Compared to the vampire before him, his hatred was far more directed at the Huangfu family. He was going to die anyway, so perhaps being drained by someone who at least had a pleasing appearance was a small comfort.

Mu Jin quietly observed Huangfu Yu, slowly stepping closer until he stood right before him. He reached out and gently brushed a hand over Huangfu Yu’s eyes. The dullness in those eyes displeased him. His lover should be proud, always standing at the peak—never this broken figure before him.

Leaning close to the man’s neck, Mu Jin inhaled softly, a sweet fragrance filling his senses, stirring a restless sensation deep within his soul. He knew it wasn’t just the allure of the blood itself; more than that, it was his love for the man before him, now transforming into an overwhelming hunger.

Watching Mu Jin’s actions, Wallis silently confirmed his guess was correct—his master indeed intended to feed directly. He was relieved that he had taken the time to clean and prepare the human beforehand, ensuring that no filth would taint his master’s taste.

Mu Jin savored the scent of the man in front of him, allowing himself to fully experience his emotions without any need for concealment. However, the gnawing hunger in his stomach reminded him of his physical needs.

He didn’t know how long it had been since the original host had last fed, but it was clear that Mu Jin himself wasn’t willing to drink the blood of a stranger, even if it were offered in a cup. If possible, he would happily live on his lover’s blood alone for the rest of his life.

Though Huangfu Yu was not yet offering his blood willingly, Mu Jin was confident that soon enough, his lover would voluntarily become the sole source of his nourishment.

Moving even closer, Mu Jin’s nose lightly grazed the man’s neck. He was pleased that Huangfu Yu didn’t flinch, though it might have been because the man knew any attempt to avoid his fate would be futile, leaving him no choice but to submit.

Mu Jin’s breath wasn’t hot, yet it still sent shivers down Huangfu Yu’s spine, though he did his best to suppress the trembling.

Was this vampire about to bite into his neck?

Would he sink his sharp fangs into his artery? At this moment, Huangfu Yu felt like a gazelle hunted by a predator, helplessly waiting for the moment when the hunter would end his life.

But the anticipated bite never came. Instead, the sharp tip of Mu Jin’s nose drifted toward his ear. For a fleeting moment, Huangfu Yu almost felt as if they were sharing an intimate moment, but that illusion was quickly shattered when a sudden sharp pain shot through his earlobe.

That pain, however, soon transformed into a tingling sensation, sweeping over his entire body, causing an involuntary tremble that he could no longer control.
