Chapter 129 – Violent Useless vs. Delicate Cat (09)
Despite the mixed emotions, Yan Yang couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy. It turned out that his beloved was indeed a cat yokai, proving that the world truly held magical wonders. This also meant that Xiao Jin could stay with him for a long time—perhaps just like in his dream, living for hundreds or even thousands of years, ensuring they would never have to be separated.
Feeling a surge of happiness, Yan Yang turned to Mu Jin and nodded in agreement, saying, “I believe you.”
Hearing this, Mu Jin’s face lit up with joy, and he immediately threw himself into Yan Yang’s arms.
The sudden embrace from the unclothed boy caught Yan Yang off guard, but he remembered how the kitten would often pounce on him. He didn’t want to upset the cat, so he quickly grabbed a blanket to wrap around Mu Jin, hearing the excited declaration, “Of course, my husband is the best! Xiao Jin loves you the most!”
Yan Yang was momentarily stunned by Mu Jin’s words. It took him a moment to realize that the boy kept calling him “Husband.” He looked at Mu Jin’s innocent face and, with a nervous swallow, asked, “Xiao Jin, why do you keep calling me husband?”
Mu Jin blinked up at him, then smiled and explained, “Because Yan Yang is my husband.”
As he spoke, Mu Jin excitedly touched the tag on his neck, beaming at Yan Yang as he said, “See? Yan Yang gave me a token of love and touched my tail, so we’re married now. Naturally, Yan Yang is my husband!”
Yan Yang’s feelings grew more complex. He hadn’t realized that giving a tag and touching the tail in their culture was akin to a marriage proposal.
Seeing the boy’s simple and pure eyes, Yan Yang felt that agreeing to such a claim might be inappropriate. He gently explained to Mu Jin, “No, Xiao Jin. This is just a simple gift. You are my friend, my family, but not my partner.”
However, as he finished speaking, a pang of pain ran through his heart, which he tried to ignore. The feeling quickly became irrelevant as he noticed Mu Jin’s eyes welling with tears.
The cat-eared boy let out a few pitiful “meow” sounds and, with tears streaming down his cheeks, asked, “Did I do something wrong? According to our clan’s rules, I’m Yan Yang’s cat. If you don’t acknowledge our relationship, does that mean you’re going to abandon me?”
Seeing the boy’s sorrowful expression, Yan Yang panicked. He knew little about the rules of the cat tribe, but it seemed they were quite different from human customs. If he had known Mu Jin was a cat yokai, he would have been more cautious.
Yan Yang scrambled to find a handkerchief to wipe Mu Jin’s tears, frantically reassuring him, “No, I’m not abandoning you. Don’t be sad.”
But Mu Jin’s tears kept flowing freely, and in his desperation, Yan Yang blurted out, “I admit it! I admit our relationship. You can call me whatever you want!”
“Of course, my husband is the best!” Mu Jin exclaimed, immediately leaping into Yan Yang’s arms and planting a kiss on his cheek, showing no signs of having cried moments earlier.
Yan Yang was stunned by Mu Jin’s sudden change of mood, realizing that perhaps the saying about yokai being the best at deception might be true. But he didn’t have much time to think, as the boy quickly pressed his lips to Yan Yang’s.
In an instant, Yan Yang’s mind went blank. The sensation of the kiss was soft and gentle, almost electric. The familiar scent of Mu Jin filled his senses, making it impossible to resist.
Mu Jin, seeing the boy’s dumbfounded expression, smiled. He had just been playfully teasing Yan Yang, pretending to be a cat yokai, because it was interesting. After all, even if he were later revealed to be the leader of the Mu clan, he wouldn’t mind, treating it all as a playful moment with his partner. Watching his lover in such a delectable state, Mu Jin had long been eager to indulge. Why not take advantage of his innocence and capture him while he could?
Meanwhile, Yan Yang, recovering from the initial shock, realized that this was his first kiss—the first time anyone had kissed him. He’d never imagined a kiss could feel so wonderful, like an electric jolt through his body. All his senses seemed to focus on the boy in front of him, drawn into the moment.
The fragrant scent, the soft lips, the comforting embrace—it was all too enticing1. Instinctively tightening his grip, the boy became immersed in the moment, unable to resist taking control.
Breathing heavily, Yan Yang felt his mind urging him to take more. He pressed the cat-eared boy into the bed, and it wasn’t until he heard a soft “whimper” that he suddenly snapped back to reality.
Lifting his head, he met Mu Jin’s gaze, his emerald cat eyes filled with a watery allure, causing Yan Yang’s breath to hitch. He knew he had just lost control and quickly sat up, his heart racing, unsure of what to do.
He thought to himself that even if Xiao Jin was a bit forward, he was still just a naïve little yokai—what did he really know? But as for him, Yan Yang—he almost took advantage of the situation!
However, before he could fully regain his composure, the boy leaned in, clinging to his arm, and whispered in his ear, “Husband, aren’t we going to continue? I thought you were going to… mate with me.”
Mu Jin bit his lip, intentionally batting his big, round eyes at Yan Yang. He knew how seductive he looked and enjoyed teasing his lover with suggestive remarks.
Yan Yang swallowed hard, trying to calm himself, but then he realized that Mu Jin’s kissing skills seemed quite experienced. His face darkened as he asked, “Have you kissed anyone else before me? And how do you even know about… mating?”
Mu Jin was taken aback by Yan Yang’s sudden shift in focus. Seeing him blushing and stammering with anger, he tilted his head with a cat-like quirk and replied, “Only you, Husband. Isn’t that something you just know? Plus, the elders in our clan always say that after getting married, you can mate.”
Yan Yang breathed a sigh of relief, understanding that perhaps the cat yokai clan had a different kind of education, one that emphasized instincts and nature.
He couldn’t deny that the cat-eared boy was incredibly cute. His heart hadn’t stopped racing, but everything had escalated so quickly that he felt overwhelmed.
After a long pause, he hesitantly explained, “It’s not something you rush into. You should wait until you really get to know someone.”
“But I know you, Husband! You’re the best person in the world to me, and you’re my favorite person,” Mu Jin replied, his voice brimming with sincerity.
Yan Yang’s heart warmed, seeing the boy’s eyes filled with trust and affection. Unable to resist, he leaned in and gently embraced Mu Jin, thinking that maybe having his kitten in human form was a truly wonderful thing.
Despite Mu Jin’s efforts, Yan Yang’s heart couldn’t calm down. He knew his partner was accommodating, but going all the way seemed too sudden. He clicked his tongue in frustration, lying in Yan Yang’s arms, quietly licking his lips, wondering why young people these days were so set on their principles.
003, watching Mu Jin’s shameless antics, couldn’t help but feel exasperated. It seemed like the old married couple’s decency had long since been tossed out the window.
After Mu Jin’s playful antics, Yan Yang decided it was time to get up. However, he blushed when he saw the boy lounging in a rather suggestive pose, his head resting on his hand, watching him with a mischievous grin. Yan Yang quickly turned away, unable to look any longer.
He went to his wardrobe, choosing two sets of pajamas for Mu Jin. Hesitating between a new set and the one he’d worn, he eventually chose the latter, blushing as he handed it to Mu Jin, saying, “Here, Xiao Jin, put this on.”
Mu Jin noticed Yan Yang’s choice, understanding that his partner had a preference for leaving marks of ownership. Although they hadn’t yet reached certain milestones, Yan Yang’s subconscious choice of clothes already reflected a possessive streak.
Smiling, Mu Jin felt a surge of warmth in his heart. He decided to play innocent, grabbing Yan Yang’s hand and whining, “Husband, I don’t know how to put it on.”
Yan Yang hesitated, recalling the scene from that morning, wondering if Mu Jin’s clan always walked around without clothes. A hint of jealousy flared as he asked, “Xiao Jin, do you usually not wear clothes in your clan?”
Mu Jin knew what was bothering Yan Yang, so he playfully nodded, watching the boy’s expression darken before explaining with a mischievous smile, “Because everyone in our clan has fur, so we don’t need clothes.”
