The Little Kitten is Saving the Villain Again Today! – Chapter 32

Professor 10

Tang Xi kicked his little paws in panic: “Meow meow meow!” 1551, help! I’m going to be eaten! QAQ

At this moment, the villain looked exactly like a demon from a fairy tale—one that devoured children. No, even worse—like something that had just crawled out from the depths of hell, his cold eyes gleaming ominously.

1551 smiled: Farewell.

It’s not that I don’t want to help you, but as a mere little system, I’m completely powerless.

Mom, this is way too scary…

With zero backbone, 1551 promptly played dead.

Tang Xi, realizing there was no hope of rescue, stopped his useless struggle and let out a soft, pitiful meow.

The sound was so delicate and innocent that no one with a heart could bear to bully such a tiny kitten.

But the villain was no ordinary person. His face showed no trace of sympathy—only a polite smile, tinged with an unsettling hint of madness.

He gave his hand a little shake, and the kitten swayed along with it.

“A little demon?”

The word sounded completely out of place coming from him. But then again, more bizarre things had already happened.

Duan Sifei turned slightly, placing Tang Xi onto the sofa, inadvertently revealing what lay behind him.

Tang Xi finally saw it clearly—a person, covered in blood and wounds, barely clinging to life.

Just unconscious.

Realizing the villain hadn’t actually killed anyone, Tang Xi let out a small, secret sigh of relief. His tiny triangular ears, which had been pressed flat against his head, slowly perked up again.

Duan Sifei found it amusing and reached out, deliberately poking the little triangle.

The kitten’s ears twitched in fright, pressing back down in an attempt to evade the intrusive finger.

But there was no escape.

Duan Sifei continued to play with his ears, rubbing them idly as he spoke. “Don’t play dead.”

Tang Xi let out a soft, aggrieved meow.

“I won’t reveal your secret,” Duan Sifei said, finally releasing his ears.

Tang Xi had barely begun to feel relieved when he heard the next words—

“But lying to me… that deserves a punishment.”

“Change back.” Duan Sifei tapped his knuckles lightly against the table.

That commanding, unquestionable tone—just like the previous world’s villain.

Tang Xi reluctantly shifted back to his human form, staring at him with wide, wary eyes. He had barely opened his mouth to speak—

When it was sealed shut.

A slick, hot tongue invaded, ruthlessly claiming his mouth.

Unlike Duan Sifei’s usual refined demeanor, his kiss was wild and overpowering, as if he wanted to devour Tang Xi whole.

Tang Xi whimpered softly, his breath stolen away.

Just when he was about to suffocate, he was finally released—only for his lips to be captured again the moment he gasped for air.

The relentless kisses continued, broken only by fleeting moments of respite, stretching on for half an hour before Duan Sifei finally let him go.

By the time he was released, Tang Xi was completely dazed, his red-rimmed eyes staring blankly downward—

And then he saw it.

The thing that had been pressing against him the whole time.

Duan Sifei, however, remained completely composed. Despite the noticeable bulge beneath his clothing, his posture was poised and graceful, his attire flawlessly neat—except for the unmistakable proof of what had just occurred.

He looked just like a strict professor.

If you ignored that.

Tang Xi: “…B-beast.”

His voice was soft, just like the rest of him, carrying no real bite. His naturally upturned lips were now swollen red, his tongue numb, making his words slur slightly.

Duan Sifei chuckled lowly. “Thanks for the compliment.”

Tang Xi was utterly shocked by his shamelessness.

The people outside should really see this! They all revere Professor Duan, but if only they knew—behind closed doors, he’s nothing but a rogue!

But he hadn’t forgotten—there was still a person lying on the ground.

Anxiously, Tang Xi tugged at Duan Sifei’s sleeve, pointing urgently at the unconscious figure.

Duan Sifei endured the pain but didn’t show the slightest trace of it on his face. He calmly reached out and patted Tang Xi’s head. “Curious? Speak up.”

The psychologist had told him that when dealing with children like this, he needed to guide them step by step, luring them in so they would take the initiative to engage with the world.

Tang Xi stammered, trying his best to express himself. “Why did you hit him?”

Wasn’t this person his guest?

Duan Sifei’s expression was pleased, but his words carried a biting chill. “Because he dared to lay his hands on my treasure.”

He stood up and used the tip of his black leather shoe to flip the man on the ground over.

Seeing the man’s face clearly, Tang Xi let out a small gasp.

It was actually Huang Lihan.

He had really come knocking at their door—and judging by the situation, he had been taken down instead.

As the body was turned over, the saw tucked in his arms was exposed.

It was the very tool he had used to kill those two people earlier.

Duan Sifei let out a cold chuckle. “A fool who overestimates himself, thinking he can covet what’s mine.”

Tang Xi’s dark, round eyes stared at him. “You knew all along.”

He had long known that this friend of his was a murderer. But since it hadn’t interfered with his own interests…

The top predator had simply chosen to watch from the shadows.

Duan Sifei neither confirmed nor denied it. His response was ambiguous. “What a pity. If he hadn’t crossed the line, he could’ve stayed around a little longer.”

To him, those killing methods were crude and childish—just a passing amusement.

But now, this troublemaker had overstepped his bounds.

He was someone who couldn’t tolerate even a speck of sand in his eyes. If Huang Lihan didn’t still have some use, he would have made him disappear the moment he first showed interest in Tang Xi—silently, without a trace.

Instead of going through all this trouble, carefully setting up a trap to lure him in.

With his silent approval, the news of him living with Tang Xi reached Huang Lihan’s ears, provoking him immensely. Then, after subtly leaking that he would be heading to the research institute for the night, Huang Lihan immediately lost his composure and rushed over, fearing that if he missed this opportunity, he might never catch Tang Xi alone again.

What he hadn’t expected was that the person opening the door wasn’t the one he longed for but Duan Sifei, smiling as he handed him a knife.

Although this setup was somewhat troublesome and required handling things at home, in the end, the goal was achieved.

Duan Sifei gazed tenderly at the little researcher in his arms, skillfully concealing the intense possessiveness in his eyes.

Tang Xi didn’t quite understand what had happened. This silly little cat still thought that his secret being exposed was just an accident.

But in reality, there was no guarantee that he wouldn’t transform back into his original form from excessive fright.

Duan Sifei had simply bet on it—and won.

Even when the police arrived to take Huang Lihan away, Tang Xi was still in a daze.

In the original storyline, Huang Lihan was the first person Duan Sifei killed, so there wasn’t much detail about him. He was eliminated before he even got the chance to commit a crime.

No wonder Tang Xi never thought much of him when he first saw him.

But this was a complete world after all, and details that were missing in the original plot could still exist here.

When the police searched Huang Lihan’s home, they uncovered a disturbing amount of evidence, including proof of animal abuse.

This confirmed his guilt.

Duan Sifei withheld certain details from the authorities, ensuring a perfect resolution.

Huang Lihan was a deranged serial killer who, after setting his sights on Duan Sifei, had come straight to his doorstep with his tools of murder—only to find that, despite being a top-tier researcher, Duan Sifei’s well-sculpted muscles were far from just for show.

And so, the hunter became the hunted.

Duan Sifei personally handled all the aftermath, keeping Tang Xi completely uninvolved. To the outside world, he remained just a bystander.

Originally, Tang Xi thought the “villain” would at least get arrested for excessive self-defense.

After all, the scene had looked gruesome—Duan Sifei emerged unscathed while the supposed perpetrator was beaten into a miserable state.

Even now, Huang Lihan remained in the hospital, unable to leave.

He no longer seemed like the villain—in fact, Duan Sifei looked more like the real bad guy.

. . . . .

Duan Sifei was very satisfied.

After this incident, it was obvious that Tang Xi had become much more clingy. The barrier between them had disappeared.

Tang Xi was also delighted—he knew this meant his rescue mission had been a success.

Even when facing Huang Lihan, the villain hadn’t gone for the kill but had instead followed the law, sending him to court for legal punishment. This was proof enough that he wouldn’t turn into the ruthless, cold-blooded villain of the original storyline.

In his once lifeless heart, a tiny kitten had taken residence.

He would build the safest fortress for him. Since his little researcher disliked bloodshed, he would keep himself clean and hold onto his moral boundaries.

When they returned to the research institute, all eyes were once again on Duan Sifei and Tang Xi.

The researchers who had previously offered Tang Xi cookies now gathered around, full of concern and sympathy.

“You poor child, you must have been terrified!”

“Are you hurt anywhere? Why didn’t you stay home and rest a few more days?”

“The official statement says that the murderer was targeting Professor Duan, but I think he was actually after our little Tang!”

Compared to the always composed and courteous Professor Duan, the delicate and beautiful young man naturally evoked a stronger protective instinct.

Tang Xi was momentarily stunned—he hadn’t expected these ladies to be so close to the truth.

He turned to Duan Sifei with a look of silent plea.

After taking a moment to appreciate the little kitten’s dependent expression, Duan Sifei finally stepped in to rescue him from the crowd.

However, this move unexpectedly caused a slight shift in his long-standing good reputation.

The female researchers complained that he was too cold and heartless—how could he let the young man return to work so soon?

Even some of the older professors showed signs of disapproval.

In the end, even the institute director earnestly advised him to treat Tang Xi better.

For the first time in his life, Duan Sifei—who had always worn the mask of humility and politeness—found himself misunderstood.

He did want his little kitten to stay home a bit longer to nurture their bond. But the moment he suggested rest, he would be met with a flurry of indignant little “meow-meow punches.”

Left with no choice, Duan Sifei could only smile and silently take the blame.
