The Boss’ White Moonlight is Resurrected – Chapter 90 Part 1

“A’Heng, wait here, I’ll go in,” Wan Tong said as she looked at Shao Heng.

When the original owner was interning before, she had become quite thin. But recently, Wan Tong felt like she had gained some weight and needed to replace all her underwear; otherwise, in the hot summer, it felt like she was being suffocated.

She originally planned to have Tu Mi accompany her for shopping, but now it was Shao Heng.

The guy next to her was stiff, not knowing where to place his gaze. Seeing him like this, Wan Tong couldn’t help but stifle a laugh.

He had just looked like a fierce alpha male a moment ago, but now, he looked like a cat in need of a cuddle.

“Oh,” Shao Heng didn’t meet her gaze, instead, he glanced at the rise and fall of her chest, then put on a calm expression and leaned against the nearby railing. “Hurry up!”

After Wan Tong entered the store, Shao Heng shifted uncomfortably to the side but kept his eyes on the figure moving among the shelves in the lingerie store.

His gaze inevitably touched those shades of pink and tender colors. He looked at the delicate garments held in her hand and felt a sudden heat in his eyes. He quickly lowered his head and looked at his own feet to regain composure.

She likes such pink colors? But it seems to suit her well…

Shao Heng’s thoughts were in turmoil. He bit his inner cheek to regain control over his wandering thoughts.

When he looked up again, he couldn’t see her figure anymore.

He felt a little anxious and quickly stepped inside.

The female salesclerks in the lingerie store were surprised when they saw such a handsome young man suddenly walk in.

“Young man, are you here to help your girlfriend shop or…”

Shao Heng was tall and conspicuous, standing amid the sea of girlish pink clothing. Surrounding him were either enthusiastic sales staff or shy female customers, and their gazes all turned towards him.

He took a step back, feeling a bit overwhelmed, and even stuttered, “I… I’m looking for someone.”

The shop assistant immediately realized what was happening and pointed to the fitting room, saying, “Ah, are you looking for your girlfriend? Is she inside the fitting room?”

When Shao Heng heard the words ‘girlfriend,’ his expression froze for a moment. Just as he was about to explain, he heard Wan Tong’s voice coming from inside the fitting room, “A’Heng, did you come in?”

By this time, the shop assistant was already covering her mouth, smiling, and stepping aside.

“Yeah,” Shao Heng replied quietly and hesitantly took a few steps towards the fitting room.

Did girls need to try on underwear when buying them? He had thought she had been kidnapped.

Shao Heng decided not to leave and stood guard outside the fitting room, blocking the view of the women shopping for clothes in the store.

With Shao Heng there, the shop assistant kept her distance.

Suddenly, the curtain in front of him moved, and a small face peeked out. Her eyes sparkled as she spoke, “A’Heng, can you help me call the shop assistant to bring a larger size?”

“No,” Shao Heng glared at her fiercely but accidentally caught a glimpse of her bare shoulder under her long hair.

Shao Heng : “!!!” She wasn’t wearing any clothes!

Before Wan Tong could speak again, Shao Heng quickly turned around, and in no time, the shop assistant came over.

However, Shao Heng had already fled.

The shop assistant smiled and handed Wan Tong the clothes, “Beauty, your boyfriend is really cute; he got scared away.”

Wan Tong shook her head, smiling without explaining.

She had been a bit scheming just now. Shao Heng had a high favorability for Li Zhi, and most of the time, he listened to Li Zhi. That wasn’t a good thing, so she wanted to provoke Shao Heng a bit and test his attitude.

Wan Tong bought quite a few things, including several outfits for her live streams. Although Shao Heng had a displeased look on his face, he continued to carry her bags and follow her.

During dinner time, Wan Tong asked Shaoheng what he wanted to eat and chose a restaurant inside the mall to dine.

Just as they had just sat down at the Hai Di Lao restaurant, Shao Heng suddenly received a phone call and got up to go outside.

Wan Tong faintly saw the note on his phone screen, which said it was from Li Zhi.

Li Zhi shouldn’t have finished work at this time, did Li Zhi already know that Shao Heng was out shopping with her?

When Shao Heng returned to the table, she looked at him and asked, “What’s going on?”

Shao Heng’s face looked somewhat complicated. He glanced at her and replied, “Sister Zhi said she wants to come and eat with us; she works not far from here.”

Wan Tong didn’t react much. “Then let her come, we can wait for her.”

“Okay.” Shao Heng felt relieved that Wan Tong didn’t seem to mind much, but he also felt inexplicably complicated.

Sister Zhi’s voice on the phone had been full of anger; he didn’t know what the situation would be like when she arrived.

“Is she just your sister?” Since Li Zhi had been mentioned, Wan Tong continued, “I heard from the building manager before that she adopted you.”

Shao Heng nodded.

“But she doesn’t look that old; how could she adopt you?” Wan Tong asked casually.

“She knew my Mom,” Shao Heng replied, but he didn’t offer much explanation. After all, he himself couldn’t understand why Li Zhi had been willing to take in such a big trouble like him.

In the first couple of years, he had to worry about debt issues, but fortunately, he had a lot of assets under his name, which were used to pay off the debts. The apartment he had been living in for the past few years was rented, and he had been leading a quiet and ordinary life, gradually forgetting the grief and despair he had felt when his parents had just passed away.

Wan Tong noticed the unmistakable sadness in Shao Heng’s eyes when he talked about the past, and she knew he was recalling the time when he was just thirteen years old and had gone through so much, which explained his significant change in temperament.

“Oh, I see. She seems like a nice person,” Wantong changed the topic, “When is she arriving? If you’re hungry, go ahead and eat first.”

Shao Heng shook his head, then got up again, “I’ll be right back; I need to use the restroom.”

“Okay.”

Wan Tong watched him leave and took out her phone to start scrolling through it.

In just a few days, her Weibo followers had increased to 100,000, and her fans on Doushen Short Video Platform were about to surpass 200,000. The videos she had recorded earlier, whether related to her daily life or random moments, were getting more views and likes.

She held her phone, recorded a vlog, and posted it on both Weibo and Doushen. She also announced the time of her live stream for today.

[I love the new lipstick shade! Will there be a live stream today?!]

[Is Tongtong’s hand better now? She’s going to eat at Hai Di Lao!]

[If she becomes too famous, will she stop live streaming? These kinds of streamers are everywhere now. Maybe she’s even in someone’s bed right now?!]

[I think I saw two teacups, so who’s the person sitting across from her?]

[Her chest is really big; where did she get the enhancements? She must have had quite a few surgeries on her face, right?]

[Zhang Jiajia apologized in her live stream today. Were you blind? I think she deliberately pretended not to see it. That way, she can continue to stir up drama. She’s truly the queen of green tea!]

With some free time on her hands, Wan Tong replied to comments, mostly addressing the positive ones while ignoring the hateful and trollish ones. She knew that as a public figure, especially one following a controversial path, she would face more rumors and criticisms in the future. She had to force herself to ignore these comments to continue on this path successfully.

Today, Zhang Jiajia did indeed apologize in her live stream, crying and apologizing to her fans. It made her fans feel really sorry for her.

The key point was that Zhang Jiajia apologized on behalf of her fans, and her fans didn’t find anything wrong with it at all.

Her fans believed that their goddess didn’t say anything at all; she just posted a Weibo, and they impulsively attacked Wan Tong. This led to public backlash, and now their goddess had to bear the brunt of it. They felt so bad for Zhang Jiajia and wanted to send gifts to make her feel better.

As a result, Zhang Jiajia’s live stream today made a fortune, and it still attracted a group of crazy fans who left malicious comments under Wan Tong’s Weibo.

Wan Tong put her phone away, and since she still hadn’t seen Shao Heng return, she glanced around the restaurant. Near the entrance, she spotted his figure.

In front of him, there were several men and women blocking his way, as if they had encountered acquaintances.

However, his expression was somewhat gloomy, and he exuded an aura of low pressure. He didn’t seem to exhibit the familiarity and enthusiasm one would expect when meeting friends.

Wan Tong stood up and walked over, hearing a cheerful and sunny young man with a crew cut in the middle speaking to Shao Heng, “Shao Heng, it’s been so many years since you transferred in the first year of junior high. Let’s sit down and have a meal together.”

As he spoke, the young man deliberately put his arm around the waist of a long-haired girl standing beside him.

The friends nearby playfully whistled and cheered, “Brother Yang, you’re so domineering!”

The girl seemed a bit shy, but when she looked up at Shao Heng, she appeared somewhat proud. “Yes, Shao Heng, would you like to sit down and chat?”

Everyone present had attended the same private elite school back when they were in junior high. She had a crush on Shao Heng when she was in the first year, and he used to be so aloof and proud. She had initiated a conversation with him, but he hadn’t even looked at her. Later, there were troubles in his family, and creditors even came to the school causing a scene. He was taken away, and he transferred schools. She couldn’t have imagined that after all these years, he would turn out like this.

His clothes looked like they were from a street market. Only his face and physique added a touch of fashion to the otherwise poor-quality attire. However, that couldn’t hide the fact that his family had fallen on hard times, and his current situation was quite destitute.

Looking at his current appearance, the girl’s feelings became complicated. He was genuinely handsome. In the past, he had been elegant and aloof, like a little prince. Now, he had gained a bit of wildness, like an untamed beast, attracting the attention of the opposite sex in the same way.

“I don’t know you, so I have nothing to talk about,” Shao Heng glanced coldly at the group of people and uttered a few words, clearly showing his disdain for getting involved with them.

The young man with the crew cut noticed the change in the girl’s expression and heard Shao Heng’s still condescending tone, which infuriated him. “Shao Heng, what are you so proud of? You’re just a fallen dog now. Are you still here to show off to me?”

He had disliked Shao Heng since junior high, feeling that he was overshadowed whenever Shao Heng was around. But now, what did Shao Heng have to be proud of?

Shao Heng had kept a low profile over the past few years and had no desire to cause trouble. To be honest, he didn’t even remember who these people in front of him were.
