Quick Transmigration: Breaking Up That Official CP – Chapter 380

Chapter 380 – ABO: The Heaven-Sent Sweetheart – Caught in the Act (04)

Once the thought of finding a protector for Bai Tang appeared in Mother Bai’s mind, it never faded.

But all the capable ones had gone to the Alliance. As for the alphas still remaining on this small planet, Mother Bai couldn’t look favorably upon them at all. After all, Tang Tang wasn’t an ordinary beta—he was a concealed omega. Among those left on this tiny planet, very few could even protect an omega. And they needed both strength and wealth—otherwise, how would they possibly support an omega and future children?

As for Jacob, Mother Bai had never even considered him. Not because she looked down on him, but because he needed to work part-time at their family shop. That alone showed his financial situation wasn’t great. For this reason, Mother Bai eliminated him immediately.

Upon hearing Mother Bai’s thoughts, the little sphere burst out laughing in Xiao A’s arms. The male lead had always been good at winning his mother-in-law’s favor—yet who would’ve thought he’d end up like this? Mother-in-law hadn’t even put him on the candidate list.

Father Bai returned home a bit late, and the family enjoyed a harmonious dinner together.

Bai Tang went to find Jacob, feeling cheerful, humming a little tune as he headed to the kitchen to make snacks.

Mother Bai pulled Father Bai back to their room and told him about her idea of finding an alpha for Bai Tang.

Father Bai was troubled. On one hand, he didn’t want his child to suffer after marrying out. But on the other hand, children eventually needed to start their own families. They had to pick someone from a good family—otherwise his child’s later life would be unhappy. Yet even so, Father Bai himself had no specific candidate in mind.

“Half a year from now, an interstellar passenger ship will pass through here. When it does, let’s take Tang Tang to the Interstellar Alliance and broaden his horizons. There will be far more choices than on this small planet.”
This had been Father Bai’s plan for a long time. After all, black-market suppressants weren’t good things. If taken too much, they’d inevitably affect the body. And as an omega, if he couldn’t have children in the future, after marriage he might suffer greatly.

Bai Tang had no idea that Father Bai and Mother Bai had already planned out his future. At this moment, he packed the freshly made snacks into small bags and, glancing through the crack in the door, saw his parents talking. While the house-keeping robot was cleaning on the second floor, he secretly slipped outside.

“Abu~”

Jacob, who was watching the shop, was just about to close up when a small, delicate figure rushed in from outside. Instinctively, he opened his arms to catch him.

Jacob was hit full-force, and the air around them carried the unique nut-milk sweetness that belonged only to the young man—sweet, pleasant, but never cloying.

“What brings you here at night? Didn’t Uncle and Auntie come with you?” Jacob leaned in and sniffed the back of Bai Tang’s neck. It really was the scent of an omega.

After confirming the boy was an omega, Jacob suddenly felt a wave of fear. Omegas were incredibly precious—and with Tang Tang’s looks, if he were walking alone at night and some ill-intentioned person took notice, with no one to protect him… the consequences would be unimaginable.

When he imagined the situation, even Jacob—who normally strategized calmly and never panicked even in unexpected circumstances—felt his heart tighten with unease.

He held the boy in his arms and kissed the tip of his hair, which carried a faint herbal fragrance.

“Sit for a bit. Once I finish cleaning up, I’ll take you home.”

Bai Tang placed the small bag on the table and opened it; the aroma immediately drifted out.

“Come taste these—I made cookies and cake for you~” Bai Tang pulled Jacob down to sit. Since the shop had no customers and they were about to close, no one else would come in.

The two shared the sweets, one bite from you, one bite from me. Jacob’s gaze darkened slightly when he saw the cream at the corner of the boy’s lips. He pulled out a tissue and gently wiped it away.

“Be careful not to get your clothes dirty.”

“Heehee, but you’re here~” Bai Tang smiled sweetly. Chasing after his future partner like this actually felt pretty nice.

Bai Tang stayed in the shop until late at night. He yawned, and physiological tears welled at the corners of his eyes, his clear, watery gaze filled with drowsiness.

In the end, Jacob carried him home on his back.

By the time they reached the Bai household, Father Bai and Mother Bai were nearly frantic with worry.

Jacob gently placed Bai Tang onto the sofa. Mother Bai hurried over and checked the back of Bai Tang’s neck.

That was where an omega’s gland was. If he had been marked, the gland would have been bitten through.

Fortunately, the back of Bai Tang’s neck was perfectly intact—no bite marks, not even a faint red spot.

Mother Bai quietly sighed in relief, but Father Bai couldn’t hold back his anger. Taking their precious son out in the middle of the night—he must have had ulterior motives.

He swung a fist directly at Jacob’s face. With a loud thud, Jacob caught the punch mid-air.

“Outside. Don’t wake Tang Tang.” Jacob’s expression was cold, but whenever Bai Tang was mentioned, there was a softness in his eyes that couldn’t be hidden.

The two little dogs in the house scampered off to open the door, eager to send them outside for a fight.

In the courtyard, the two alphas exchanged blows. Their fists and kicks sliced through the air with sharp gusts of wind.

Father Bai wasn’t weak—he was still an alpha after all. And with Jacob deliberately holding back, the fight appeared evenly matched.

Qiu’er lay on the stairs, using a virtual camera to record everything, while Xiao A stood beside him, explaining each move like a commentator.

“Wow, amazing…” Qiu’er marveled at Jacob’s skill.

A light chuckle came from beside him. Qiu’er turned his head and saw Xiao A looking right at him—then suddenly remembered the bet he made earlier, claiming the male lead would never easily gain the in-laws’ approval. He hurriedly corrected himself,

“I mean Father Bai! His skills are amazing—he can even hold his own against the male lead!”

Little did Qiu’er know that this “restraint” was Jacob deliberately holding back so his future father-in-law wouldn’t lose face.

Xiao A didn’t expose him. Instead, he patted Qiu’er’s dog head with a paw.

“Qiu’er is right.”

The male lead’s coaxing methods—he had learned them perfectly.

Unfortunately, Qiu’er was just like Tang Tang and completely fell for such tactics. Because of this, Qiu’er was utterly wrapped around Xiao A’s paw, muddle-headed and easily led astray by him.

Father Bai acknowledged Jacob’s strength, but he still couldn’t let go of the fact that Jacob had taken Tang Tang out in the middle of the night. What if something had happened to Tang Tang outside at such a late hour?!

Bai Tang slept straight through until morning. When he woke up, he found Jacob in his home.

Delighted, he ran straight toward Jacob. Jacob instinctively opened his arms, ready to catch the boy’s usual “pounce.”

“Good morning, Abu~” Bai Tang leapt into Jacob’s arms, wrapping his legs around Jacob’s waist, and—bold as ever—gave him a kiss right on the lips.

Jacob froze in shock.

And Father Bai and Mother Bai, who were halfway down the stairs, were stunned as well.

After a brief pause, the man reacted quickly. He pressed his forehead gently against the boy’s and answered warmly, “Good morning, Tang Tang.”

He knew Bai Tang was an omega, yet the boy still took the initiative to flirt with an alpha. That meant Tang Tang must like him too… right?

Jacob secretly thought to himself, excitement bubbling uncontrollably inside.

Compared to Mother Bai, who was shocked by her precious son’s boldness, Father Bai looked utterly heartbroken.

It turned out Tang Tang was the one who took the initiative… Tang Tang was the one who liked Jacob—not the other way around.

Father Bai felt crushed. Didn’t this mean he no longer had any justification to stop Jacob from clinging to his precious son?

Life on their little planet was slow-paced. The Bai family didn’t like drinking nutrient solutions, so whenever they were not busy, they always cooked real meals. It was troublesome, sure, but cooking was also one of life’s simple pleasures.

After breakfast, Jacob and Father Bai went to open the shop, while Bai Tang stayed home to learn etiquette from Mother Bai.

Their plans were already set: in half a year, when the interstellar passenger ship passed through, they would board it and go to the Alliance to find Tangtang a strong alpha who would truly cherish him.

A few days later, Milly—who worked part-time at the flower shop—rushed into the store looking for Jacob.

Ding-a-ling—

The wind chimes at the door rang. Jacob, fully in his service-staff mode, turned around.

“Welcome.”

“Jacob, you have to help me!” Milly dashed up to him, grabbing his sleeve, her anxious expression tinged with hope.

Jacob’s smile faded. Expressionless, he pulled his sleeve out of Milly’s grasp. The fabric was already wrinkled with several deep creases. A flash of irritation and distress passed through his eyes—Tang Tang had made that shirt for him, and this woman had just yanked on it like that.

“Miss Milly, we’re not close. Please let go.” The moment Jacob freed his sleeve, Milly reached out and clawed at him again.

Customers sitting inside the shop watched the man and woman at the counter.

No matter the era, gossip was always people’s favorite entertainment—especially on a quiet little planet like this one, where the usual “news” consisted of a robbery or a street fight. Nothing like romantic drama.

Milly didn’t care about embarrassing herself anymore. The only thing that mattered was getting Jacob to lend her money.

During the struggle, the scent belonging to an omega gradually spread. Betas were fine—they weren’t affected by omega pheromones. The alphas, however, were not. Once they caught the scent, the heat within them was stirred up, and the way they looked at Milly grew increasingly feverish.

Fear rose in Milly’s heart. She had accidentally broken her last suppressant. The effects of her previous injection were nearly gone. If she didn’t take another suppressor soon, she wouldn’t be able to hide her identity any longer.

The atmosphere in the shop began to heat up. Jacob immediately sensed what was happening. Milly was still pleading with him:

“I know the black market has suppressants. Please… please help me…”

Omega pheromones attracted alphas—but alpha pheromones also pulled omegas in.

Milly only felt her body burning up. Jacob looked impossibly handsome in her blurred vision. A soft whimper slipped from her lips, sounding almost like an invitation.

Jacob frowned. Watching Milly push him away only to cling to him again felt unbearably irritating. Even the pheromones reaching his nose lacked the sweetness that belonged to Tang Tang.

Meanwhile, Bai Tang happily ran toward the shop, carrying freshly baked nut cookies he wanted to share with Jacob—another chance to build their relationship.

But before he even stepped inside, he froze at the door. Through the transparent glass, he saw Jacob and Milly grabbing at each other, looking far too close.

The boy angrily dropped the bag, stomped his little feet a few times, huffed, and turned away to leave.

But after a few steps, he suddenly stopped.

Jacob was the one in the wrong—so why was he the one running away?

This was his family’s shop. Jacob was his.

It was Jacob who had wronged him.

With that thought, Bai Tang tightened his cute little face into a stern expression. A fierce aura—two meters tall—rose around him as he stormed toward the door, ready to stage a dramatic “catching the cheater” scene.

Author’s Note :

Bai Tang: You wronged me. We’re breaking up!

Qiu’er: Good job, Tang Tang.

Jacob: No. You’re not allowed. (picks the boy up and carries him back to the room)
