Quick Transmigration: Breaking Up That Official CP – Chapter 3

Chapter 3 – Campus Arc: A Glamorous Romance – The Cinderella Sweetheart’s Endless Love (3)

Bai Tang and Tian Lingxue only exchanged a few words before ending the call—after all, she had to return to her dorm for the welcome party.

After hanging up, Bai Tang noticed that Hudson was still typing away on his keyboard. With the awkwardness from the afternoon now behind him, he grabbed his toiletries and headed into the bathroom.

Fergusston University truly lived up to its reputation as a prestigious institution—not only was its faculty top-tier, but the student accommodations were also excellent. The dorm rooms housed only two students each, and even the bathrooms had large bathtubs.

Bai Tang had never taken a proper soak in a bathtub before. Seeing the luxurious tub made him eager to try, so he filled it up with water. However, as he stared at the rippling surface, an inexplicable sense of unease crept into his heart.

It’s just a bath—no big deal. The water is already full; I can’t just waste it.

After giving himself a pep talk, Bai Tang finally gathered his courage and stepped into the water.

But as his body slowly submerged, a deep fear began to rise from within.

I don’t want to take a bath anymore. I need to get out.

Bai Tang tried to stand up, but his foot slipped on the porcelain surface. With a loud splash, he fell back into the water.

The bathtub was spacious and sleek, but that only made things worse—his hands flailed in the water, trying to grab onto the tub’s edge, but the slippery soap residue caused him to slide back down. Unable to get a firm grip, he ended up swallowing several mouthfuls of soapy water.

Hudson, who had been sitting at his computer, found himself unable to focus. The sudden commotion from the bathroom startled him. He immediately pounded on the door.

“Bai Tang? Bai Tang!”

There was no response—only the sound of frantic splashing.

Worried, Hudson didn’t hesitate. He rammed his shoulder against the door, breaking it open.

But when he rushed inside, Bai Tang was nowhere to be seen—only water had spilled over the edge of the bathtub onto the floor.

Hudson quickly stepped forward, reached into the tub, and pulled the choking Bai Tang out, carrying him back to the room.

Bai Tang’s eyes remained shut. No matter how much Hudson called his name, he didn’t respond.

Hudson laid Bai Tang flat, pressing on his stomach before performing CPR. Bai Tang coughed up several mouthfuls of water before finally opening his eyes.

His damp eyes were first filled with confusion, but as his memories returned, fear quickly overtook him.

“So… so scary… wuwu~” Bai Tang whimpered as he threw himself into Hudson’s arms, his quiet sobs making Hudson’s heart ache slightly.

Hudson held him close, murmuring softly, “It’s okay, it’s okay. Everything’s fine now. Don’t cry, Tang Tang.”

Having just arrived at school after a long flight, then experiencing this terrifying ordeal, Bai Tang was both emotionally and physically exhausted. Comforted in Hudson’s embrace, he soon drifted off to sleep—completely unaware that he was still completely bare.

Noticing the lack of movement in his arms, Hudson looked down and saw that Bai Tang had fallen asleep, his small hands still clutching onto Hudson’s shirt.

Only now did Hudson realize—he had been so focused on rescuing him that he hadn’t noticed Bai Tang wasn’t wearing anything. Now, with the unexpected full view before him, even the usually cold and composed Hudson couldn’t stop his face from turning red.

And Bai Tang wasn’t just cute—he was adorable from head to toe.

Hudson quickly snapped out of it, carefully placing Bai Tang onto the bed and covering him with the blanket. Fortunately, the air conditioning wasn’t too low tonight—catching a cold after all this would be bad.

After making sure Bai Tang was settled, Hudson sat by the bedside, lost in thought.

He studied Bai Tang closely—his fair skin, delicate nose, and lips tinged with a faint pink hue. He recalled how bright Bai Tang’s eyes had been in the afternoon, especially when he had seen the nuts—his excitement completely unhidden.

He really seems to love nuts. Even after coming back from the medical office, he was still eating them. And just now, he even choked in the bathtub—like a little squirrel.

Hudson remembered the way Bai Tang’s cheeks puffed up while chewing, his small mouth moving rhythmically.

A little squirrel indeed.
