Becoming Popular Through The “All Villains” Variety Show – Chapter 69 Part 3

Part 3 of Chapter 69

Please Like Her 20 – Trip to the amusement park

In the morning, they played all the amusement facilities on the play guide that had nothing to do with thrills.

According to the plan, before lunch, the last place they had to go was the children’s playground.

The facilities here were relatively more suitable for young children, like swings and seesaws.

There was a sign on the door: one child can bring up to two parents inside.

Shang Lu looked at Xiao Mi and said, “Great, a child.”

She and Chi Yan are the two parents, great.

A perfect match, as if it was arranged for them.

But Xiao Mi’s lips twitched as she asked, “Do we really have to go in?”

Even though it said children could enter, the only two kids inside seemed to be at most three or four years old, which was quite a gap.

Shang Lu’s gaze shifted to the trampoline inside, and a desire she hadn’t noticed herself welled up in her eyes.

Xiao Mi and Chi Yan glanced at each other, and they both silently bent down to take off their shoes.

They had to go!

“We don’t have to…”

Before Shang Lu could finish her sentence, she saw Chi Yan and Xiao Mi had already put their shoes down and walked in.

Shang Lu : ?

Were they both in such a hurry? How great!

Shang Lu finally stepped into the children’s playground she had dreamed of.

In fact, compared to the amusement facilities outside, she actually preferred these simple things, with no complicated rules to understand at a glance.

Like the slide, it was still spinning here, and when she slid down and fell into the ball pit, she felt very happy.

And the swing, which Shang Lu had always liked.

When she was a child, there used to be a swing in the garden of her home. When she was bored, she would sit on it alone, gazing at the sky and the grass, feeling very relaxed and free.

But for some reason, that swing was suddenly taken down, and she lost her only source of joy.

Shang Lu sat on it for a while, and a little girl walked up to her and said in a sweet voice, “Sister, can I play with this for a while?”

The little girl’s grandmother was behind her, smiling somewhat awkwardly.

“Okay,” Shang Lu said as he gracefully stood up and gave her seat to the young girl. She secured the swing’s position to prevent it from swaying, and only after making sure the young girl was seated comfortably did she leave.

Meanwhile, not far away, Xiao Mi was diligently rock climbing with the assistance of the staff. She appeared very focused and serious, eager to learn new skills.

In this comparison, Shang Lu suddenly felt a bit embarrassed, realizing that she was behaving like a child who only knew how to play.

Soon, Chi Yan’s voice came from behind her, shouting, “Lulu!”

To avoid exposing her identity, Shang Lu had Chi Yan call her that way.

Shang Lu turned around to see Chi Yan sitting at one end of a seesaw, his long legs awkwardly half-crouched, struggling to maintain balance on the seesaw. Then he tilted his head and used his gaze to signal Shang Lu to sit on the other end. He was also wearing pink bunny ears that swayed with his movements, looking extremely cute.

Shang Lu : “…”

It looked so childish when viewed like this.

But she really liked it!

To Shang Lu, the seesaw and the swing were essentially the same, both involved swaying in the air. The only difference was that one required two people to play while the other could be enjoyed alone.

In response to Chi Yan’s invitation, of course Shang Lu ran over and happily sat across from him.

“Hold on,” Chi Yan patted the handrail in front of him to remind Shang Lu, and then asked, “Are you ready?”

Shang Lu nodded, and then mischievously sat down heavily, but the seesaw didn’t budge.

Shang Lu felt confused and slowly looked up at Chi Yan.

Chi Yan held the handrail tightly with both hands, his feet still on the ground, and he grinned at her, “You failed. Now, it’s my turn. Launch!”

Shang Lu: “?”

Launch what?

The next moment, her feet were already off the ground, and she was launched into the air.

Shang Lu : “…”

Oh, she understood now. It was her who got launched.

Chi Yan, with a theatrical expression, looked in front of himself and asked in a surprised tone, “Shang Lu, how did you suddenly disappear?”

“Chi Yan!” Shang Lu shouted at Chi Yan, not in the best mood, as she kicked her legs in the air towards his direction a few times. “Hurry up and put me down!”

Chi Yan finally lifted his head to look at her. With one hand on the armrest and the other supporting his chin, he teasingly said, “I won’t let go.”

Shang Lu looked at the seesaw in front of her and suddenly came up with a plan.

This seesaw had a special design. Instead of a cylindrical pivot in the middle, there were wooden blocks, almost the same width as the two seats on either side. There were also barriers on the sides to prevent children from climbing and falling off. Since it was a parent-child amusement park and considering that very young children might visit, this seesaw wasn’t too high, and the ground was covered with soft, cushioned mats. So, even if someone fell, it wouldn’t be too dangerous.

All potential risks were eliminated, making the plan feasible.

Shang Lu had decent balance skills, so she pulled her legs back and placed her feet on the seats.

Chi Yan hadn’t quite figured out what Shang Lu intended to do, but out of concern for her safety, he instinctively said, “Don’t move, I’ll let you down!”

“It’s too late, you’re in trouble!” Shang Lu said with a smile as she put her feet on the seats and began to crouch and move forward.

Chi Yan finally understood and adjusted his position slightly to make the seesaw tilt less dramatically, allowing Shang Lu to approach more smoothly.

With Chi Yan’s help, Shang Lu’s ‘seesaw journey’ became smoother, and she successfully reached Chi Yan.

Chi Yan didn’t move away; instead, he extended a hand to her forehead and asked slowly, “What do you want to do?”

Shang Lu, somewhat irritated, reached out a hand. She placed one hand on Chi Yan’s shoulder, pressed down, and used her other hand to tug on his ear, saying, “What do I want to do? Of course, I want to bury you!”

“I’m sorry,” Chi Yan quickly apologized and urged, “Hurry and get down; it’s dangerous.”

Since the seesaw was now completely tilted to one side, Shang Lu was only a few centimeters away from the ground. She grabbed the handrail in front of her and effortlessly flipped down.

Only after Shang Lu safely touched the ground did Chi Yan slowly release his grip on the seesaw, restoring it to a balanced state.
