Wen Le of Rebirth in the End Times (BL) – Chapter 7 Countdown to the Apocalypse

“Don’t… Xiao Wen! Don’t save them! They will kill you!”

Wen Le yelled, but Xiao Wen couldn’t hear him.

Until Xiao Wen died. He died like a memory. Wen Le knelt in the void, tears streaming down his face.

“…Le Le… Le Le…”

Wen Le vaguely heard someone calling him.

“Le Le! Le Le!”

Only Xiao Wen called him like this, but Xiao Wen… didn’t he die?

“Le Le!”

Wen Le suddenly woke up and looked at Xiao Wen anxiously beside him. It took him a long time to come to his senses. Yes, he was reborn, and Xiao Wen was still alive and well…

Wen Le threw himself into Xiao Wen’s arms.

Even though he knew that the Xiao Wen in front of him was alive and well, Wen Le couldn’t help but tremble.

Xiao Wen held the person in his arms and anxiously looked at Zhou Quan, who had been called in.

Since December 15th, Wen Le had been yelling his name in his dreams every night, but besides his name, there were only lip movements without sound. They had no idea what Wen Le was yelling about.

It had been three days now, and Wen Le’s condition had not improved.

Zhou Quan frowned and walked up to them only when Wen Le stopped trembling in Xiao Wen’s arms and slowly calmed down. Together with Xiao Wen, they helped Wen Le lean against Xiao Wen’s chest.

“Young Master Wen, tell me what you dreamed about?!” Zhou Quan controlled his voice and slowly guided Wen Le, who was in a very bad state.

Wen Le remained silent, just like the previous two nights, he didn’t want to say anything.

“Young Master Wen, your current state is very bad. Telling us what happened in your dreams can make you feel better. We can figure out a solution together. If you keep going like this, you will collapse.” urged Zhou Quan. He has always been a family doctor for Wen Le. Wen Le’s physical condition was fine before. Even flying for a month and a half did not have any adverse reactions. But in these three days, he watched as Wen Le lost weight in a short time. Even he, who has always been a materialist, couldn’t help but want to find a Taoist priest to come and check. It was too strange!

Wen Le was conflicted. Except for Xiao Wen, no one knew about the apocalypse. When he went out to collect supplies, Xiao Wen also said that he went out to travel. He really didn’t want to reveal anything about the apocalypse before it happened.

Xiao Wen absolutely trusted him, but what about others? The more people who know, the easier it is to make mistakes and arouse suspicion.

The friend from the M country research institute? What’s their name? When did you meet them? Are they male or female? How old?

A lie requires countless more lies to cover up. Xiao Wen wouldn’t ask, but what about others? Should he keep his mouth shut forever?

But he knew his own physical condition better than anyone else. It had only been three days, and he was already collapsing. In another three days, the apocalypse would be upon them. If he continued like this, he wouldn’t even survive the beginning of the apocalypse, let alone not dragging down Xiao Wen.

Wen Le slowly opened his eyes and looked deeply into Zhou Quan’s worried eyes.

Zhou Quan felt a chill down his back. Wen Le’s gaze seemed to penetrate into his soul. Although he didn’t know why Wen Le was looking at him like this, he didn’t look away but responded to Wen Le’s gaze.

Zhou Quan’s gaze was candid and trustworthy. He and Yin Chengyang had used their lives to interpret the meaning of “trust.

Wen Le withdrew his gaze. Then he entrusted his trust to Zhou Quan.

Xiao Wen knew that the only thing that Wen Le couldn’t say was “the Apocalypse” so he remained silent from beginning to end, even when facing his life and death brother. He still entrusted the decision-making power to Wen Le, because Wen Le is also a man!

The support and protection behind Xiao Wen finally made Wen Le make up his mind.

“Uncle Mo is old, don’t bother him for now. Call the others too. Let me say it once,” Wen Le said hoarsely, probably because he had been shouting too much in his dreams, causing his throat to hurt from just a few words.

Zhou Quan nodded and called the three people who were sleeping downstairs in the living room because they were worried about Wen Le but didn’t want to disturb him by entering the room. He also went to the kitchen and brewed a cup of honey water, which he brought back upstairs.

Taking the honey water handed over by Zhou Quan, Wen Le said “thank you” and took two sips, which indeed made his throat feel much better.

Then he looked up and looked at each of the people sitting on chairs.

Not only Han Ya and Mo Yan, but even Yin Chengyang, who had the thickest nerves, felt his whole body’s hair stand up after being looked at by Wen Le.

Han Ya narrowed his eyes. The current Young Master Wen gave him a feeling that was completely different from the one he had known before. In just one look, the purity and innocence in Young Master Wen’s eyes had changed. Although still pure, it was so chillingly indifferent.

Looking back at the boss that Young Master Wen leaned on, he didn’t even know about Young Master Wen’s changes.

Wen Le didn’t pay attention to Han Ya’s scrutiny. It was Han Ya’s habit to control everything, not a bad intention.

“What I’m about to say may sound unbelievable, but please listen carefully. First, let me talk about my dreams these past few days. You’ve all seen Resident Evil, right? In my dreams, it’s like the live-action version of Resident Evil. From the outbreak to one year later, every day repeats itself. Today is already the third time, and I remember every detail almost perfectly.” Wen Le paused, closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and continued speaking, ignoring the surprised, bewildered, or thoughtful expressions of the four people. “As for my travel across most of China a month and a half ago, you all know the reason. The real reason is that two months ago, I received an email from someone who would never joke with me. Its authenticity is beyond doubt. He told me…apocalypse is coming…”

After finishing speaking, Wen Le leaned his full weight on Xiao Wen’s body, as if all his strength had been drained, waiting for the four to slowly digest the news.

Almost half an hour of silence passed, as expected, Han Ya spoke first.

“The past month and a half…”

Before Han Ya could finish, Wen Le gave his answer, “Collecting supplies.”

“And where are these supplies?” Han Ya asked.

Wen Le opened his eyes and looked at Han Ya. He knew that if he didn’t say it first, the extremely clever Han Ya would definitely force out what he was trying to hide.

Well, the seafood that Xiao Wen bought and left in the warehouse outside the city had already aroused Han Ya’s suspicions. The lack of freezing measures and their indifference had created too many doubts. Wen Le had to use Xiao Wen’s voice to stop anyone from going near the warehouse before Han Ya could suppress his suspicions.

Wen Le squeezed Xiao Wen’s hand tightly. He slowly uttered two words, “My space.”

Even Xiao Wen was stunned now. He suspected that Wen Le had gone mad.

Space? Isn’t that something from fantasy novels?

Wen Le knew that they wouldn’t believe him, so he extended his left hand, which was empty, and placed it in front of everyone, including Xiao Wen. They didn’t understand what Wen Le was trying to do until they were all startled by the sudden appearance of a struggling, living rabbit in Wen Le’s slender hand.

Magic?

Without any props, how could it be magic?! Moreover, in the next moment, the rabbit was thrown into Han Ya’s arms, and a large medicine box appeared in Wen Le’s hand. Zhou Quan automatically took it, followed by a bag of rice, a squawking chicken…

It was rare that after everyone finally believed that Wen Le really had a space, no one asked any more questions and silently walked out of the room.

When Wen Le didn’t know how to explain the origin of his space, no one raised that question. Wen Le suddenly smiled and said to Zhou Quan, who was giving him sleeping pills, “Thank you.”

Thank you for not making things difficult for me.

Zhou Quan smiled gently, and stroked Wen Le’s head.

Now, even though it hasn’t been long since Wen Le started spending time with them, he will gradually come to know that every one of them genuinely cares for him. It’s not just the leader, but also the rest of them who have been lingering in the darkness, who also want to protect the pure and bright Wen Le.

Of course, their protective love for him is like that of an indulgent younger brother, and only the leader has those filthy thoughts.

As Xiao Wen supports Wen Le to drink water, he doesn’t see the contemptuous look that Zhou Quan gives him in an instant…

  1. He decided to trust someone and right afterward he was given a ‘contemptuous look’ as in, hateful look…
    This isn’t looking good.

    1. I pretty sure that look is for Xiao Wen for trying to get together with Wen Le who’s so much younger, not towards Wen Le. I think its a joke about robbing the cradle lol
