Waiting For You To Come Online – Chapter 63

Extra Chapter: Sweet Daily Life (1)

On an early summer afternoon, sunlight streamed through the gauze curtains, casting dappled shadows on the balcony. A gentle breeze blew, carrying a slight chill.

Xie Yang lounged lazily on the rocking chair on the balcony, enjoying his game in comfort.

He had no classes in the afternoon, and he had arranged with Su Huai to rank up in the new season.

They had agreed to meet at three o’clock, and it was only two now.

Xie Yang closed his eyes, his long eyelashes casting a shadow.

Drowsiness washed over him.

The sunlight, the breeze, and the lazy feeling of summer all hit at once.

The phone screen was still lit up, displaying the game loading screen.

In just those few seconds, Xie Yang had already fallen asleep. He only woke up when the system sent a warning for inactivity.

“Hmm.”

Xie Yang roused himself, fortunately, he was in a custom match, so it didn’t matter if he fell asleep.

Qi Xu placed a glass of milk and some fruit on the table beside him. Seeing his drowsy expression, Qi Xu picked him up from the rocking chair and settled him on his own lap, smiling helplessly, “You don’t have to work, you don’t have to go to school. You can eat whenever you want, sleep whenever you want.”

Xie Yang shook his head, insisting firmly, “No way, I already promised Su Huai that I’d rank up with him this time. I’m definitely going to reach King tier.”

Qi Xu offered, “I can play for you.”

Xie Yang refused without a second thought.

Qi Xu raised an eyebrow slightly, “Why not?”

Xie Yang felt the hand on his waist gently rubbing, the warmth spreading through him.

That was the reason.

Last time, Qi Xu had offered to play with him, but after just one game, he took Xie Yang’s phone and started demanding compensation. It went on until after three in the morning, leaving Xie Yang with a sore waist for two days. A game with such a high price to pay? No way.

So, Xie Yang didn’t trust Qi Xu’s offer to play for him this time.

As Qi Xu’s hands started to wander, Xie Yang pushed them away and said, “I need to practice my heroes on my own. I haven’t played in a while, and right now, I’m basically at Iron tier.”

Qi Xu tried to entice him again, “King-tier skill level, live coaching.”

Xie Yang was slightly tempted. He really did need some pointers from Qi Xu. Even if Qi Xu just casually gave some advice, it would be easier than looking up guides online.

Seeing Xie Yang’s hesitation, Qi Xu coaxed him gently, “Think about it. You’ve always liked playing mage heroes, right? Once you master mid-lane, whenever we play duo queue, you can go mid and I’ll jungle. I’ll help you gank.”

Mid-jungle duo queue…

Xie Yang still remembered that Qi Xu used to play the jungle role. It was because Xie Yang could only play support that Qi Xu switched to the marksman role so they could go bot lane together.

Qi Xu chuckled softly, his voice deep and magnetic, as he spoke in a tempting tone: “When you play as a mage and I’m the jungler, I’ll give you the first blue buff. At level three, I’ll gank mid to help you gain an advantage and crush the enemy mid-laner. Then, I can roam with you to gank top and bot lanes. With mid and jungle working together, ranking up will be as easy as drinking water.”

Even though Xie Yang knew Qi Xu had ulterior motives, he was still tempted: “I’ll think about it.”

A slight smile tugged at Qi Xu’s lips as he casually reminded him, “It’s almost half an hour until three o’clock. Are you planning to play mid in the five-man queue later?”

Xie Yang quickly checked the time, feeling a bit anxious.

He hadn’t played mobile games in a long time, and with the five-man queue coming up, he didn’t want to be the one dragging the team down.

He placed his hand on Qi Xu’s arm, shook it slightly, and asked in a pleading tone, “What do you want?”

Qi Xu’s gaze fell on Xie Yang’s long, straight legs. He licked his lips, then lightly nipped at Xie Yang’s earlobe, drawing out his words: “What do you think I want?”

The warm breath brushing against Xie Yang’s ear sent a shiver down his spine, making him instinctively burrow into Qi Xu’s embrace as he whispered, “It tickles.”

Xie Yang lost focus on the game; his attention was completely captured by Qi Xu’s actions.

He grasped Qi Xu’s wandering hand and protested, “You haven’t taught me how to play yet.”

Qi Xu exited the custom game and started a new 1v1 match, with Xie Yang again choosing Orianna as his champion.

Xie Yang’s breathing grew rapid, his voice trembling slightly, “What are you trying to do?”

Qi Xu took a deep breath, struggling to restrain his restless thoughts, and said, “If you want to play the solo lane, you need to learn how to last-hit minions first.”

Xie Yang tried to steady himself, his face tinged with a faint pink hue.

He moved his character to the mid lane.

His breathing became erratic, his breath coming in quick gasps.

“You missed a minion.”

Qi Xu gently kissed his slightly swollen earlobe, whispering a reminder in his ear.

Xie Yang couldn’t help but let out a muffled groan.

His vision of the screen grew increasingly blurry.

Qi Xu had set up the match not as a bot game, but as a player vs. player solo match.

He felt incredibly nervous.

Whenever he got nervous, he…

He suspected that Qi Xu had deliberately chosen a player vs. player match to make him anxious.

When the second wave of minions arrived, Xie Yang dutifully focused on clearing them. Before he could react, the opponent used a skill to take out half of his health.

He quickly backed away from the enemy.

Qi Xu explained, “Since the opponent didn’t miss any last-hits on the previous wave, he hit level two first and used a skill to poke your health. You had no choice but to take the hit.”

Xie Yang could hardly focus on the game anymore.

Even basic last-hitting was becoming difficult for him.

Qi Xu’s breath brushed against his ear as he warned in a low, haunting voice, “Focus, or I’ll have to punish you.”

A flush of red spread across Xie Yang’s cheeks. Unable to think clearly, he slumped weakly in Qi Xu’s arms and could only follow his lead, “What kind of punishment?”

Qi Xu tightened his hold around Xie Yang’s waist, his voice a little hoarse, “For every missed minion, you’ll be punished once.”

Xie Yang pouted, “You’re bullying me.”

Qi Xu rested his chin on Xie Yang’s shoulder, watching his game screen, a small smile playing on his lips, “You’ve already missed three minions.”

Xie Yang couldn’t understand why he was the only one feeling so flustered.

He struggled out of Qi Xu’s embrace, tossed his phone aside, and before Qi Xu could react, he straddled Qi Xu’s lap, wrapped his arms around his neck, and leaned in for a kiss.

His heart pounded, his eyes averted shyly, and his whole face was flushed.

“Do you still want to keep playing?”
