Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 304

Chapter 304- Cultured Villain vs. Humanoid Weapon (09)

Noticing Mu Jin’s smile revealing two faint dimples, Jian Minghui felt somewhat captivated, a trace of sweetness stirring in his heart, though mostly he felt an inexplicable trust toward this person.

For some reason, he simply knew he could trust Mu Jin completely. So he grinned widely and said, “Then make sure to sell me at a good price!”

Mu Jin seemed very pleased with Jian Minghui’s answer. To save time, he picked up his lover again and dashed quickly toward the shopping mall.

Jian Minghui felt the wind rushing past him as Mu Jin’s speed rivaled that of a car. So this is what it’s like when human potential is fully unlocked?

He couldn’t help but feel a tinge of envy toward Mu Jin. How wonderful it would be if he had such power. Unfortunately, since the apocalypse began, he had not awakened any abilities, only becoming slightly stronger than an ordinary person. Could he really stand by Mu Jin’s side like this?

His gaze lowered, shadowing his complicated thoughts, and he subtly tightened his arms around Mu Jin as they embraced.

They quickly reached the mall. Knowing the team wouldn’t return to this location, Mu Jin didn’t hold back. He took Jian Minghui down every aisle, loading all the food and supplies into his system’s storage space.

They then headed to the third-floor men’s department, where Mu Jin gathered a large selection of clothes without worrying too much about sizes, even stocking up on undergarments.

Watching each display and shelf disappear before his eyes, Jian Minghui grew more astonished, wondering just how vast Mu Jin’s storage could be to hold so many supplies.

Feeling a strange warmth as he watched Mu Jin’s efficient movements, he absent-mindedly wandered to a display of specialty items. Before he realized it, he’d grabbed two boxes of neatly packaged condoms and stuffed them into his pocket, only to freeze in shock the next moment.

“Alright, we’re done here. Let’s head back,” Mu Jin’s voice suddenly sounded beside him, making Jian Minghui jump. He turned to face Mu Jin, trying hard to keep his expression calm, though a deep sense of embarrassment lingered in his heart.

But the more he tried to act natural, the more Mu Jin noticed something was amiss. Realizing what section Jian Minghui had been lingering in, Mu Jin’s gaze gleamed with amusement.

He curled his lips into a helpless smile and, raising a hand, stored away all the condoms and lubricants from the shelf, then looked at Jian Minghui with a hint of indulgence. “Alright, shall we go now?”

Jian Minghui swallowed hard at Mu Jin’s words, feeling a bit embarrassed. Even though he wanted to deny it, he couldn’t bring himself to say anything. He found it hard to let Mu Jin put those items back on the shelf.

He followed Mu Jin with a conflicted expression, trying to find the right words to say, but in the end, he couldn’t bring himself to say, “You misunderstood.” Instead, he simply kept his mouth shut.

Mu Jin could sense Jian Minghui’s emotions, but to him, it was mostly amusing. It seemed his lover was still quite innocent in this regard, which was rather cute!

However, the thought that Jian Minghui had begun to entertain such thoughts about him without his knowledge made Mu Jin feel a sense of pride.

After returning to their room earlier that day, Mu Jin had rested for a while. Now, feeling quite awake and not at all tired, he was reluctant to head back so soon after finally getting to spend time with his lover on this ‘date.’

So, when they reached the stairway, Mu Jin turned around and grabbed Jian Minghui’s arm, leading him to the fourth floor.

As Jian Minghui looked at Mu Jin’s small hand gripping his wrist, he couldn’t help but feel a little thrill of joy. He had intended to ask where Mu Jin was taking him, but now he didn’t even have the desire to do so. No matter where Mu Jin wanted to take him, he wouldn’t oppose it.

The mall only had four floors, and since it had already closed before the apocalypse, although the doors had been forcefully broken open afterward, the most popular sections remained the food and daily necessities.

On the other hand, the fourth floor, which sold toys and accessories, was largely ignored, and it appeared to be much cleaner and tidier.

Mu Jin led Jian Minghui to a spacious store, and after restoring the electricity on that floor, he took out the alcohol stove and hot pot that he had previously stored in his space.

He laid out some vegetables, meat, and seasonings that he had just collected from the food section and then started preparing a sauce with sesame paste, getting into the task with great seriousness.

Watching Mu Jin get ready to start eating hot pot, Jian Minghui was momentarily taken aback and asked in confusion, “What are you planning to do?”

“What am I doing? Of course, I’m going to indulge!” Mu Jin replied, blinking his eyes with a look that suggested it was obvious. With no one around, how could he not enjoy some good food? The original owner had wanted to taste something delicious right before his death.

Mu Jin didn’t admit that he was just being greedy; he thought of himself as a good person diligently fulfilling the original owner’s wish. Besides, bringing these items back to the team, he wouldn’t be able to explain everything in detail.

The food they had eaten earlier had long been consumed, and now that it was midnight, having a late-night snack wouldn’t hurt. It wouldn’t be a waste of their trip out.

Hearing Mu Jin’s straightforward words, Jian Minghui couldn’t help but chuckle. Although Mu Jin’s expression wasn’t very animated, Jian Minghui could clearly sense that he was in a good mood, especially from the sparkles in his eyes.

A pure happiness spread from his heart—something he had never felt when with others.

Thus, Jian Minghui willingly sat down next to Mu Jin, helping him prepare the vegetables and meat to place into the hot pot.

The mall still had plenty of supplies, and since the people who had come before lacked space abilities, they could only take a limited amount of resources. This benefited Mu Jin, allowing him to enjoy an authentic hot pot meal comfortably.

Jian Minghui placed the cooked slices of meat into Mu Jin’s bowl, watching him eat with delight. He couldn’t resist taking a big bite of the boiled lamb himself.

Though the weather wasn’t particularly cold, the night always brought a slight chill. Eating the warm lamb hot pot made him feel entirely cozy.

He hadn’t tasted such delicacies for a long time since the apocalypse. Jian Minghui couldn’t help but have a hearty appetite, and together, they devoured a large amount of vegetables and meat.

After a long time, Mu Jin finally patted his round belly, leaning against Jian Minghui’s shoulder, completely unable to eat any more.

Seeing Mu Jin’s lazy demeanor, a fleeting smile appeared in Jian Minghui’s eyes. After quickly clearing the remaining food off the table, he asked Mu Jin for some water and took out the pots and bowls to give them a quick wash.

Although Mu Jin had plenty of supplies in his space, they still didn’t know what kind of situations they would face in the post-apocalyptic world, so it was best not to waste any resources.

Satisfied after the hot pot meal, Mu Jin looked at his partner beside him, who was quite a sight, and not wanting to shortchange himself, he snuggled up to Jian Minghui and quietly nibbled on some tofu.

Jian Minghui was delighted by Mu Jin’s closeness, and they both understood each other without needing to say much. He didn’t pry into Mu Jin’s current thoughts; after all, it was a good thing that someone he had feelings for was willing to spend time with him.

After they had eaten and digested for a while, Mu Jin took Jian Minghui back to the villa.

The window was only slightly ajar, and not much wind blew in; otherwise, they would have to worry about waking Lou Bin from the cold.

Fortunately, Lou Bin was a carefree person and slept soundly through the night. It seemed he had no idea that the other two people in the room had gone out and come back.

When the two of them lay back down on the bed, both Mu Jin and Jian Minghui felt a bit tired. Jian Minghui closed his eyes and soon fell into a deep sleep.

Mu Jin watched his lover’s sleeping face, leaned in to kiss Jian Minghui’s cheek, and then turned to glance at the pitch-black night outside. Suddenly, he recalled Chen Shuyun’s attitude towards him and his lover earlier in the day, narrowing his eyes dangerously.

Although he wouldn’t take immediate action against Chen Shuyun, he thought it was acceptable to give her some nightmares. A heartless woman like her deserved to feel some guilt.

With that thought, Mu Jin smirked and closed his eyes, extending his consciousness into the room where Chen Shuyun was not far away. After leaving a small imprint on her psyche, he retreated.

Mu Jin wasn’t going to keep tolerating someone who treated his lover poorly. Even if it would lead to a confrontation in the future, giving her a little lesson now wasn’t a big deal.

In any case, he wouldn’t be stingy with those who had bullied his beloved!
