Chapter 139 – Violent Useless vs. Delicate Cat (19)
Some people felt that Yan Yang rejecting such a talented and perfect person was foolish. How could he not want someone as exceptional as Mu Jin? It was like wasting a precious resource. But others felt a tinge of happiness, thinking that if Yan Yang rejected Mu Jin, maybe they still had a chance.
After Mu Jin and Yan Yang left the field, away from the crowd’s prying eyes, Yan Yang rushed forward, trying to grab Mu Jin’s arm, only to have him pull away forcefully.
This was the first time his little cat had pulled away from him so strongly, and Yan Yang felt a surge of anxiety. He didn’t give up, attempting several more times to hold on, but Mu Jin kept shrugging him off.
It wasn’t until they reached a secluded spot that Yan Yang used all his strength to grab Mu Jin’s arm and pulled him into a corner under a courtyard wall.
Yan Yang pinned Mu Jin between his arms, leaning down to look at the top of his head. He noticed that his little cat kept his head down, not meeting his gaze, which made Yan Yang even more anxious. He gently asked, “Xiao Jin, are you mad at me?”
Mu Jin understood that his lover might not fully grasp the situation yet. They hadn’t known each other for very long, and this incarnation of Yan Yang was more impulsive and insecure, often saying things he didn’t mean.
Mu Jin knew Yan Yang likely didn’t intend to reject him on the field but couldn’t help feeling a bit hurt. However, he wasn’t genuinely angry or deeply upset. Being pinned against the wall by his lover’s strong arms was enough to make his heart race.
He sneaked a glance at Yan Yang’s anxious expression, finding it endearing. But he controlled his urge to hug him, coughed lightly, and raised his head to glance at Yan Yang before quickly looking away.
Seeing Mu Jin’s teary eyes, Yan Yang felt a pang of guilt, realizing it was his fault for not responding properly. He hastily reassured Mu Jin, “Xiao Jin, don’t cry. I didn’t mean it like that!”
But as soon as he spoke, tears started to stream down Mu Jin’s cheeks.
Seeing those tears fall, Yan Yang felt as though they were hitting his heart. He felt his throat tighten as his chest ached.
“Xiao Jin, don’t cry!” Yan Yang quickly used his sleeve to wipe Mu Jin’s tears but soon noticed that the rough fabric was reddening his soft skin.
Yan Yang’s eyes flashed with frustration, switching to using the back of his hand. He was flustered, unsure of what to do to stop his little cat from crying.
But then he heard Mu Jin take a deep breath and, with a tone of determination, say, “I take it back.”
“Take what back?” Yan Yang was confused. Then he saw Mu Jin’s red eyes, filled with sadness, as he said, “I take it back. I won’t like you anymore!”
“From now on, you’re not my husband! I knew you didn’t like me. You’ve always tried to push me away. I’m not stupid—I could sense it. But today, I finally understood. I’m not going to fool myself anymore. Don’t worry, I won’t bother you again!”
Yan Yang was stunned, and when he realized what Mu Jin meant, he felt a wave of agony wash over him. He had hurt Xiao Jin—made him feel unworthy. Xiao Jin said he didn’t want to like him anymore, even that he wasn’t his “husband.” Xiao Jin said he would leave him!
The boy felt like his world was crumbling. Seeing his little cat push him away and try to leave, Yan Yang quickly grabbed him, holding him tight by the shoulders, with such force that Mu Jin winced in pain.
Yan Yang was breathing heavily, knowing he couldn’t let Mu Jin leave—he couldn’t let him go. This was his fault for hurting Mu Jin’s feelings, and he couldn’t let him leave.
Yan Yang had never fully understood his own feelings, but when Mu Jin said he didn’t want to like him anymore, Yan Yang felt a part of his heart had been ripped away, making him desperate with pain.
He held Mu Jin tightly, shouting, “No! You can’t leave me!”
“Why not? You don’t like me! You don’t want me to find someone else? Let me tell you, plenty of people would love me!” Mu Jin responded defiantly, knowing Yan Yang was starting to understand.
Hearing Yan Yang rebutting him like an angry little beast, Yan Yang felt momentarily lost for words. But hearing Mu Jin say he might go find someone else, Yan Yang’s anger surged, his eyes turning red with rage. He was furious at the thought of losing his little cat to someone else.
Mu Jin was about to say something to provoke his lover when Yan Yang suddenly leaned down and captured his lips, swallowing his words in a kiss.
It was the first time in this world that his lover had kissed him so proactively, and Mu Jin was thrilled. He initially feigned a struggle, but feeling the strength of Yan Yang’s grip, he stopped resisting.
Surrounded by the familiar scent, Mu Jin could only feel that his lover was exuding an overwhelming amount of pheromones at this moment, almost to the point of making him dizzy. He didn’t hold on for long before he melted into a puddle of water in the other’s arms, only able to weakly grab at the collar of Yan Yang’s clothes, wanting and desiring.
As Mu Jin relaxed in his arms, Yan Yang’s feverish kiss slowly softened, becoming gentle. Both were filled with deep affection, and the kiss grew increasingly tender.
After what felt like an eternity, Yan Yang finally pulled back, his lips brushing over Mu Jin’s, leaving them slightly swollen. His heart raced as he looked at the tearful eyes of his little cat, knowing he couldn’t let him go.
Mu Jin took a few deep breaths, then raised his head to meet Yan Yang’s eyes, pouting, “Why did you kiss me? Didn’t you say you didn’t like me?”
Yan Yang understood that he needed to fix his past mistakes. His avoidance and occasional rejections were enough to make Mu Jin doubt his feelings.
Blaming himself for his foolishness, Yan Yang quickly apologized, gently cupping Mu Jin’s cheek as he spoke, “I didn’t mean it like that, baby. I was wrong. It’s my fault for making you sad.”
He pressed his forehead to Mu Jin’s, gently kissing him and saying softly, “I love you, Xiao Jin. I’ll always love you, forever.”
“You bast***!” After waiting for so long, he finally heard his lover’s true confession. Mu Jin was moved, but he still bit Yan Yang’s shoulder aggrievedly. After cursing him, he cried and tightened his arms, hugging Yan Yang back.
Burying his head in Yan Yang’s neck, breathing in his scent, Mu Jin listened as Yan Yang whispered, “Yes, I’m a bast***, but please don’t leave me, Xiao Jin.”
Yan Yang’s voice carried a hint of anxiety, and Mu Jin’s heart trembled. Instead of speaking, he kissed Yan Yang again, expressing his feelings through action.
The two were finally on the same page, sharing a deep and intimate kiss, forgetting about everything else until the bell rang, signaling the end of class.
Yan Yang reluctantly parted from Mu Jin, the soft pop of their lips separating making both of them blush. But Mu Jin couldn’t help but laugh at the sound, and Yan Yang scratched his head with a sheepish grin.
Seeing his lover’s blushing face and bright smile, Yan Yang felt a rush of happiness. He kissed Mu Jin’s forehead before they held hands and returned to class.
With that, the outcome of the school-topper’s public confession was clear.
Although some girls were heartbroken, feeling like another good guy had been taken, others were impressed by Mu Jin’s boldness. They marveled at how the new transfer student had the courage to tame even the fiercest guy in school—and actually succeeded.
Upon returning to class, Qi Xi was nowhere to be seen. He had been injured by Mu Jin and was taken away by the Qi family, who warned that they wouldn’t let the matter go easily.
Yan Yang didn’t know how formidable Mu Jin truly was, but seeing the severity of Qi Xi’s injuries, he realized that his little cat was not to be underestimated. He was mainly concerned that the Qi family might target Mu Jin, but other than that, he was unconcerned.
Mu Jin, sensing his lover’s worry, reassured him, “Don’t worry. I know how to deal with the Qi family.”
Yan Yang felt relieved by Mu Jin’s words, thinking the cat demon family must have their own ways of handling things. What he didn’t know was that Mu Jin’s solution wasn’t the typical method for resolving issues among demons.
