Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 125

Chapter 125 – Violent Useless vs. Delicate Cat (05)

In general, cats are naturally afraid of water. However, neither Mu Jin nor the original owner was a cat in the true sense. As humans, they had no fear of water, and even more so for Mu Jin, whose original form as a plant was inherently close to water. This affinity didn’t change, even though his body was temporarily in a cat’s form.

So, when Yan Yang was all set for a battle while bathing the kitten, he was pleasantly surprised to find that Xiao Jin was exceptionally cooperative and well-behaved during the bath.

As he watched the little one clutching his wrist, allowing him to scrub and clean, the young man’s heart softened. He’d heard that cats were afraid of water, but this little guy seemed to trust him completely. The thought brought a gentle smile to Yan Yang’s face and a joy he hadn’t experienced before.

After he finished washing Mu Jin, Yan Yang realized that the kitten was indeed a little white cat with no specks of color—just pure white fur. Its bright green eyes were captivating, and its soft fur seemed incredibly plush.

Using a towel, Yan Yang gently dried the kitten’s fur and then carefully used a hairdryer to ensure it was completely dry. Once Mu Jin’s fur was all fluffy and soft, Yan Yang couldn’t help but feel a bit excited. He never imagined that the kitten he randomly picked up off the street could be so adorable, with fluffy fur and bright, clear eyes.

The freshly bathed kitten emitted a refreshing scent, which Yan Yang attributed to the shampoo, but for some reason, he also detected a hint of a unique botanical fragrance, a scent that made him feel calm and at peace.

Taking a deep breath, he felt his entire body relax, as if a soothing wave had washed over him. Of course, if he’d known more about plants, he would have realized that this scent was reminiscent of lotus leaves.

Mu Jin was also thrilled to be clean again. Even though he was in cat form, he still wanted to be a beautiful cat. It was a bit embarrassing to have been dirty in front of his lover for so long. He’d even sneaked a look at himself in the mirror while Yan Yang was away, and even he couldn’t stand his own disheveled appearance.

If it weren’t for the fear of arousing suspicion by suddenly appearing clean, Mu Jin would’ve cleaned himself up earlier. It made him appreciate how much his lover cared for him, even when he was dirty and disheveled.

Yan Yang, while speaking in a tough manner, was always gentle and caring in his actions. Despite his usual stern demeanor, he still let the messy kitten sleep beside him every night. Now that Mu Jin was clean and beautiful again, he was eager to show off his new look to his lover.

The kitten raised his head proudly, thinking, “I must look mighty and powerful now!” But he didn’t realize he was far from looking mighty and powerful; at most, he was adorable enough to make someone melt.

Watching the freshly bathed kitten being extra lively, Yan Yang couldn’t resist extending his hands and joyfully petting him.

As he stroked Mu Jin’s soft fur, he marveled at how pleasant it felt. No wonder people enjoyed having pets and loved petting cats and dogs—it was enough to melt anyone’s heart.

After contentedly petting the kitten for a while, Yan Yang picked up a comb and carefully brushed Mu Jin’s fur. Once he was done, the kitten looked even more charming. Mu Jin expressed his gratitude by extending his tiny tongue and licking Yan Yang’s palm.

He really wanted to lick his lover’s face, but given their height difference, it would take a considerable jump to reach the young man’s cheek.

Even with his tongue restrained, Yan Yang was stunned by the kitten’s actions. The kitten’s warm tongue with its tiny barbs had an intriguing texture.

Yan Yang shivered from the sensation and reflexively grabbed the kitten’s tongue, his thumb gently brushing over its barbed surface.

Mu Jin hadn’t expected this turn of events. His intention to show affection to his lover was met with the young man grabbing his tongue. Feeling awkward, he could only look at Yan Yang with a pitiful expression and make a few whining noises.

With his tongue being held, he couldn’t even meow properly. Hearing Mu Jin’s muffled protest, Yan Yang snapped back to reality and, blushing, released his grip.

Yan Yang didn’t know why he’d done that, but when the kitten’s pink tongue touched his hand, he just reacted instinctively. He couldn’t deny that the sensation of holding the kitten’s tongue was quite enjoyable.

Trying to ignore the feeling of discomfort, Yan Yang chalked it up to the fact that the little kitten was just too adorable, making him want to tease it a bit.

That night, as usual, the kitten and the young man slept together. With Mu Jin’s body recovering, he curled up into a small ball on Yan Yang’s pillow.

Seeing the little kitten cling to him, Yan Yang felt quite happy. He closed his eyes, inhaling the pleasant scent emanating from the little one beside him, and soon drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Yan Yang got up as usual to go to school. But this time, the kitten wasn’t as cooperative, sticking closely to him.

Seeing Mu Jin reluctant to let him go, Yan Yang felt an uncontrollable joy. Even though he knew taking the kitten to school would cause trouble, he couldn’t bring himself to refuse when he saw those big cat eyes staring at him.

With the kitten being so persistent, Yan Yang could only sigh, picking up the little cat and holding it in his arms. He said to it helplessly, “Fine, I get it. But you have to be good, okay? Don’t let anyone else see you!”

He thought it was silly to be talking to a cat, but to his surprise, the kitten nodded as if it understood.

Yan Yang was taken aback, sensing something was off, but he brushed it off, thinking the kitten was just exceptionally intelligent and understood what he was saying.

He carefully placed the kitten in his backpack and then wore it on his chest, leisurely heading toward Saintlin Academy.

Saintlin Academy was a well-known school on this continent, not far from the Yan family’s residence. Walking, it didn’t take long to get there.

Yan Yang wasn’t a top student in his class, more like an average underachiever. Yet, his mind was sharp—he could understand the lessons well if he paid attention, but he just didn’t care about grades.

As a child, he tried to get good grades to prove himself, but he soon realized that no matter how well he scored, as a “useless” person with low soul power, his father never praised him. So he gave up, eventually becoming a rebellious kid who just coasted through school.

His attitude toward Yan Zhengqing also changed from frequent arguments to mostly silence. He felt it was a waste of time to argue with a father who showed no love.

Sometimes, Yan Yang wondered why he even existed in this world. Seeing the look in Yan Zhengqing’s eyes, it was as if his father was saying he was a failure, someone who should never have been born, that his only contribution was bringing shame to the Yan family.

But who knew the resentment he felt inside? He’d done nothing wrong, yet he had to endure constant ridicule and scorn.

However, now his life had changed a bit. He had a cute little companion who didn’t judge him, who stayed by his side. Xiao Jin seemed to rely on him for survival.

Reflecting on the past few days spent with the kitten, Yan Yang felt that life was a little more bearable. Even the monotonous training and Yan Zhengqing’s endless demands seemed easier to endure.

Thinking about Xiao Jin, Yan Yang quickened his pace. Worried about the kitten feeling uncomfortable, he ran to the school and entered his classroom. He quickly placed his backpack under his desk, opening it slightly to let Mu Jin get some air.

During the morning classes, Yan Yang was concerned that the kitten might get bored, so he put some snacks in the bag to keep him entertained. He found that the kitten particularly liked milky snacks, and every time he gave him some, he seemed quite happy.

Yan Yang didn’t realize that feeding these human snacks to real cats could be harmful. Fortunately, Mu Jin wasn’t a real cat, so he was fine. Yan Yang subtly adjusted his angle, constantly sneaking glances at Mu Jin in the bag. Seeing the kitten happily munching, a smile flashed in his eyes.
