Top Stream Business – Chapter 77 Part 3

When the variety show aired, the post-production team specifically added the text: [Every year’s solar calendar birthday belongs solely to you.]

To ensure fans understood the meaning, the production team explained it clearly and thoroughly.

CP fans celebrated this revelation in the super topic.

Many generous fans directly sent red envelopes, distributed merchandise, and held giveaways.

Qiao Huaiyao raised an eyebrow as he browsed the super topic. He hadn’t expected that recording the show would lead to trending searches.

After all, it was just a birthday celebration. Normally, fans wouldn’t pay much attention to it.

However, with the added content and the fact that Bai Jinyan had never celebrated his solar calendar birthday before, it naturally became a trending topic.

This tradition started from the day Bai Jinyan met Qiao Huaiyao and has continued to this day.

Bai Jinyan is very busy, balancing work and studies.

The lunar calendar birthday is the only day exclusively reserved for Bai Jinyan and belongs to Qiao Huaiyao.

Qiao Huaiyao took a screenshot of a comment praising Bai Jinyan for being thoughtful and sent it to his brother.

Qiao Huaiyao smiled as he typed: [Someone is praising you.]

Bai Jinyan replied: [I want to hear you praise me.]

Qiao Huaiyao’s eyes curved in amusement as he sent an emoji playing dumb: [Cat tilting head.jpg]

Bai Jinyan didn’t call him out, instead asking: [Where are you now?]

[Entering the yard.] Qiao Huaiyao replied. As he hit send, the car came to a stop, so he added: [We’ve arrived.]

Bai Jinyan: [Alright.]

Teacher Peng was once again leading the group.

As they entered, it was evident that there were significantly more people in the international laboratory than the previous day.

People bustled about, all focused on their tasks, some not even glancing aside as they walked briskly to their respective labs.

Teacher Peng quietly instructed, “Everyone, stay close to the group, don’t touch anything, and walk along the edges.”

It was evident that some of the lab personnel were in a bad mood. To avoid conflicts, it was best to be cautious.

The two teachers led the way, with the students following in sequence.

Qiao Huaiyao glanced at the lab personnel passing by and noticed the solution bottles they were carrying. Some of the labels were obscured by their hands, only showing a few letters at the end.

Qiao Huaiyao furrowed his brows. This color… is it the Xd-bcz3 solution?

He had heard of related experiments involving this extract when he first entered the international lab in his previous life. However, by the time he entered, the experiment had already been running for a year, and there were no detailed data left, only records of failed experiments.

The current joint experiment was apparently working with this solution.

Miao Wenxuan, looking exhausted, emerged from the lab. “Sorry, I just got some time now; there was a last-minute task yesterday that took up all my time.”

Stretching after being inactive in the lab for a while, Miao Wenxuan pushed the door open a bit and said, “Come into my lab first; you’ll have to wait a bit to go upstairs.”

It was a busy time, and with some sensitive and chatty lab personnel around, Miao Wenxuan didn’t want to get involved with them.

After everyone entered and he locked the door, Miao Wenxuan said, “You can be a bit more relaxed in my lab, as long as you don’t break anything, feel free to do as you please.”

“I’ll finish up the last bit and then give you a demonstration,” Miao Wenxuan quickly added before turning and heading to the far end of the lab.

Teacher Peng observed the situation and said, “Spread out a bit and look around. The space is large, so don’t crowd together.”

“Study god, let’s go to the right,” Qiu Shufeng suggested, noticing fewer people and a free experimental table on that side.

“No thanks,” Qiao Huaiyao replied calmly. “You guys can look around.”

He had no interest in the materials nearby and, without hesitation, walked over to Miao Wenxuan.

Qiu Shufeng was momentarily puzzled, not quite understanding what Qiao Huaiyao was doing. However, he realized that since the Study God was approaching a senior, it must be for a reason, so he decided not to crowd around.

Seeing Wang Zhan about to approach, Qiu Shufeng immediately wrapped his arm around his neck. “Let’s go, let’s head to the back.”

“I—” Wang Zhan barely had time to utter a short word before being dragged away.

Although the lab was crowded, it was extremely quiet. Besides Wang Zhan’s voice, no one else spoke.

Qiao Huaiyao said calmly, “Senior, let’s make a deal.”

“Eh? Why are you here?” Miao Wenxuan was taken aback. “What’s up?”

Qiao Huaiyao paused for a moment before asking, “Is the joint experiment related to the Xd-bcz3 solution?”

Miao Wenxuan smiled. “Yes, we’re breaking down the Xd-bcz3 solution and trying to extract any possible solid components. Why?”

Qiao Huaiyao nodded and asked, “Is there a time requirement?”

Miao Wenxuan hesitated. “Not exactly… But there are other factors involved. The one who finishes first will get the reward.”

If the reward weren’t worthwhile, they wouldn’t be working overtime on this.

Qiao Huaiyao continued, “Do you have any leads, Senior?”

“None. The experiment has just started; it’s not that easy,” Miao Wenxuan sighed. If it were that easy, there wouldn’t be a need for a joint effort.

With a shake of the beaker, Miao Wenxuan complained, “If it weren’t for that reward being useful to me, I wouldn’t have participated in this mess.”

It had delayed his original experiment plans.

Miao Wenxuan casually asked, “By the way, what was that about a deal?”

Having started the conversation, there was no follow-up.

Qiao Huaiyao said, “I’ll help you with this experiment if you publish a report about my experiment under the name of the international lab.”

A report would come out eventually, but the international lab was slow. Data from before the new year might not be released until mid-next year.

Though not very useful, it was still a bargaining chip.

It might help if the internal lab staff were nudged a bit.

Miao Wenxuan was momentarily stunned, unsure whether to respond to the first part or inquire about the second part.

“I… But I don’t have that kind of authority.”

Qiao Huaiyao nonchalantly replied, “You can find someone with the authority to publish the report.”

For an experiment with no results in his previous life, the reward would definitely be substantial.

Miao Wenxuan saw that Qiao Huaiyao’s expression was serious and not joking. Recalling what the professor had said and what he had witnessed, he hesitated.

“I can give it a try, but this experiment…”

Qiao Huaiyao calculated the time and said, “I’ll give you results within three days.”

Miao Wenxuan looked at the unfinished experiment on the table. This experiment, rated as S, was notoriously difficult and extremely complex. Just getting started would take an entire night.

Three days.

Miao Wenxuan thought to himself that in that time frame, they might not even have completed the separation of the solution, let alone extracting the solid components.

He smiled and said, “If you really can finish it within three days, I’ll drag the person in charge over and get the relevant report for you.”

Qiao Huaiyao nodded. “Deal.”

Miao Wenxuan was taken aback. “Are you serious?”

“Yes.” Qiao Huaiyao was confident about his commitment. “I’ll provide the data and results to you after the experiment is over.”

Seeing his confident demeanor, Miao Wenxuan felt as though the results were already in sight, even though the experiment hadn’t started yet.

He said, “Alright, no problem. If you can do it, I’ll make sure your name is on the report when it’s submitted, and I’ll list you as an assistant.”

Being listed as an assistant would simply help with the internal review at the international lab, as Qiao Huaiyao was not a regular member of the lab.

Without a connection, the review process could be very slow.

Qiao Huaiyao was about to refuse when Miao Wenxuan added, “Do you think this lab is okay? Or would you like me to arrange a temporary lab for you?”

“No need,” Qiao Huaiyao said. He also had his own lab in New York.

He seldom used it. It was a professional lab, but for Qiao Huaiyao, this place was more like a relaxing retreat.

He had been here a few times before. Since he wasn’t interested in sightseeing or tourism, the butler had arranged for a lab to keep him occupied.

Because it was in the same city as the international lab, the style was quite similar.

Seeing that Qiao Huaiyao declined, Miao Wenxuan didn’t press further. He sensed that the person in front of him had a calmness beyond their years.

He assumed that everything would be arranged properly.

Miao Wenxuan tapped on the temperature-controlled cabinet next to him with his fingertips. “These are the materials I applied for yesterday. Let me know how many you need and give me an address. I’ll arrange for someone to deliver them.”

“One will be enough.”

With only three days, one set of materials should be sufficient.

Since he didn’t come here often, after using the lab, thorough disinfection was required. Leaving the materials here would be wasteful, and excessive back-and-forth could potentially damage the solution, rendering it unusable.

Miao Wenxuan: “???”

“That’s quite bold of you—no, I mean, saying you can get experimental results in three days is rather audacious.”

Seeing Miao Wenxuan stunned, Qiao Huaiyao thought for a moment and added, “If one batch isn’t enough, more can be sent.”

Only then did Miao Wenxuan relax. This made more sense to him.

Perhaps Qiao Huaiyao’s lab was small and couldn’t store too many materials, hence needing to receive them one batch at a time.

Miao Wenxuan took out his phone and said, “Alright, let’s exchange contact information. It’ll be easier to send you the address.”

“Okay.”

After exchanging contact information, Qiao Huaiyao returned to the group of students.

Miao Wenxuan couldn’t help but smile as he continued his experiment.

Regardless, he needed to complete the first phase to avoid falling too far behind the freshmen.

The international lab was busy in every aspect.

Some machines were in operation for ongoing experiments, which couldn’t be viewed up close without the permission of the personnel.

Thus, in areas where experiments were being conducted, they couldn’t be toured.

Most of their time ended up being spent in Miao Wenxuan’s lab.

After two hours, the tour ended.

Qiao Huaiyao had someone in New York to receive deliveries, not inside the lab itself, but in the building where the lab was located. Any items delivered and signed by the butler would be brought to the lab floor.

Therefore, Qiao Huaiyao didn’t need to make a special trip to the lab just to collect experimental materials.

On the way back,

Bai Jinyan’s car was still parked in the same spot.

It was exactly as it had been when they left.

In that precise location, not an inch off.

After getting into the car, Qiao Huaiyao supported himself on the seat with his left hand and turned around, “Brother!”

“Yes.”

At that moment, the car started, causing Qiao Huaiyao’s hand to shake slightly.

Bai Jinyan raised his hand to hold him, subtly supporting his waist to steady him. Looking down into his beautiful eyes, he smiled and asked, “What has you so happy?”

Qiao Huaiyao’s mouth curved up as he leaned into Bai Jinyan’s embrace, chuckling softly, “We’ve moved one step closer to going public.”

Or rather, it might even be a few months earlier.

Bai Jinyan raised an eyebrow and couldn’t help but kiss his smiling lips. “What did you do?”

“I arranged for the report to be released before the end of the year, so the news will spread faster,” Qiao Huaiyao explained briefly, then wrapped his arms around Bai Jinyan’s neck and said seriously, “Once the first phase review is completed, let’s go public, alright?”

“I’ll listen to you,” Bai Jinyan stroked his head, his eyes filled with gentle warmth. “You’re the one who makes the decisions in our family, so naturally, you have the final say in this matter.”
