The Unwanted Disabled Kitty Just Wants Some Love – Chapter 24

The intimacy level had unknowingly risen a little again, and Jian Xun was so comfortable that he couldn’t help letting out a tiny purr.

But even with that small increase, when Jian Xun checked the panel, it was nowhere near enough to exchange for candy.

Just two pieces of candy had already drained all his intimacy points, completely emptying his reserves.

No way—those candies were for the big boss. He had to earn those intimacy points back from him.

Jian Xun made up his mind: tonight, he was going to sneak onto the bed.

But first… dinner.

Chomp chomp chomp.

When Shang Xuci came out of the study, Jian Xun darted over to his side with a swift “whoosh.”

“Meow meow!”

Shang Xuci had his hand on the bedroom door handle. Looking down, he saw the clingy little kitten circling between his legs, occasionally rubbing its head against him.

Thinking of cat fur all over his bedsheets, he crouched down, hesitated for a moment, then gently patted the kitten’s head, trying to reason with him:

“Sui Sui, you have your own bed. Go sleep there, okay?”

Jian Xun pretended not to understand, still trying to head into the room.

This time, Shang Xuci was firm: “You can’t come into the bedroom.”

His tone carried a hint of coldness. The little white cat looked up at him with big, round eyes full of confusion, as if asking Why?

Shang Xuci explained, “In the human world, the bedroom is a very private space. Only a partner is allowed inside, understand?”

He tried to put it tactfully. If Jian Xun hadn’t once been human, a little cat like him would never have understood what that meant.

But now, hearing it—Oh! So what you’re saying is only your wife can come into the bedroom, huh?!

But… you don’t even have a wife!

And I’m not even human!

Seeing that Shang Xuci was adamant about keeping him out, Jian Xun pouted. He didn’t want the man to dislike him, so he turned around and left, leaving behind a lonely, pitiful little cat silhouette.

Well then… I’ll just reluctantly sleep in my cardboard box tonight.

The little white cat let out a huge yawn, curled up, and went to sleep.

The next day, Jian Xun sat dutifully at the entrance, staring at the door.

Shang Xuci had gone to the Shang family home to watch a dramatic scene play out. When he returned and saw the little cat waiting for him, his mood lifted considerably.

After playing with the cat for a while in the living room, he went to the bathroom for a shower, then headed back to his bedroom to sleep.

Jian Xun took advantage of the moment when the man opened the bedroom door to grab some clothes, sneaking in quietly and hiding beneath the bed.

Last time, he had shamelessly used the boss’s guilt—after accidentally stepping on his tail—to sleep openly in the bedroom. Now, he didn’t dare do that again; he could only sneak his way in.

According to his plan, tonight he would sleep by the bed.

Lying under the dark bedframe, Jian Xun listened to the sound of water dripping in the bathroom. The soft, rhythmic drops lulled him, and his eyes slowly closed.

When he woke up, the room was pitch black.

A fluffy little cat head poked out from under the bed, ears twitching. The room was silent, lit only by a dim orange lamp on the nightstand.

Is the boss asleep?

The little white cat peeked around curiously.

He stood up on his hind legs, placing his front paws on the edge of the bed. His beautiful sapphire-blue eyes gleamed as he spotted the man lying with his eyes closed, lips curved faintly at one corner.

Hehe… here I come.

With an effortless leap, the kitten hopped onto the bed.

His damp pink nose sniffed here and there.

Shang Xuci slept in a proper, upright posture, but the blanket only covered him up to his stomach.

Jian Xun nodded knowingly. He knew the stomach shouldn’t be left exposed, but the legs couldn’t be left uncovered either! At such a young age, already cultivating the bad habit of not covering his legs—what if he ended up with chronic knee problems when he grew old?

A dignified CEO like him—totally unbecoming of the role.

Guess it’s up to me, Sui Sui.

The little white cat bit down on the edge of the blanket and carefully tugged it backward. First his left paw, then his right, retreating awkwardly from the foot of the bed toward the head. His path was crooked, and he nearly toppled off the bed.

After readjusting his stance, he pulled the blanket neatly up to the man’s chest.

Seeing the blanket tucked so tidily, Jian Xun nodded in satisfaction, thinking, Wow, I’m amazing.

Tonight, he decided to reward himself by sleeping here.

The little white cat found a cozy spot at the man’s side, curled up against his waist, narrowed his eyes, and drifted off to sleep.

Tomorrow morning, he would leave before waking him.

This time, before dawn had even broken, Jian Xun woke up. He cautiously lifted his head—Shang Xuci was still asleep. Kneading the sheets a couple of times with his paws, he then hopped to the floor and slipped back under the bed to continue sleeping.

When the boss got up and opened the door, he would just follow him out.

Just as he expected, before long the man in bed stirred.

Seizing the right moment, Jian Xun bolted nervously out of the bedroom.

His heart pounded, his breath quickened.

Yes! I didn’t get caught!

After washing up, Shang Xuci took a long phone call. When he came out of the bathroom, he saw Sui Sui in the living room, eating his cat food with great seriousness.

“Sui Sui, I’m heading out.”

“Meow~” Jian Xun replied with his mouth still chewing on kibble.

These days, the boss always came home at six in the evening.

During the day, Jian Xun played alone with his cat toys. But the moment the hands of the wall clock hit exactly 18:00, he would rush to the door, ears twitching. Sure enough, before long came the sound of a key turning in the lock.

“Meow meow meow!!!” The little cat followed at the man’s heels, thrilled, already thinking: Tonight I’ll sneak into the bedroom again.

Just like before, while the boss wasn’t paying attention, the white kitten dashed in like lightning, slipping silently under the bed without making a sound.

Only after Shang Xuci lay down and turned off the light did Jian Xun begin to act.

That night, hearing faint rustling noises, Shang Xuci opened his eyes in the darkness.

Under the dim light, a pair of cat ears suddenly poked up at the edge of the bed.

His phoenix eyes narrowed slightly as the kitten’s head rose higher, those big round eyes locking directly with his.

The moment the cat’s eyes widened in shock, the furry little head quickly ducked back down, leaving only two pointy ears sticking out.

Busted.

Jian Xun lay flat against the bedframe, guilty and flustered.

He had only wanted to check if the boss was asleep. If he was, he could climb onto the bed. But—

Why were his eyes open!!!

White paws covered his furry face. [cue “pitiful.jpg”]

But even after a long wait, the boss said nothing. Jian Xun wondered: Could it be that some people sleep with their eyes open? Did I just imagine it? Maybe he really is asleep…

To make sure, the sneaky little cat resumed his mission.

Once again, a pair of ears appeared at the edge of the bed.

This time, remembering to be careful, he pressed his ears flat against his head, exposing only the round top of his fluffy skull. Slowly, cautiously, he lifted his head to peek at Shang Xuci.

And what he saw was clear as day—the boss’s eyes were tightly shut.

Cat: Stare—

One second, two seconds, three seconds…

Jian Xun let out a quiet sigh of relief.

Inside, his heart leapt with joy.

Yes!

He hadn’t been discovered.

This was Sui Sui’s second successful time sneaking onto the bed!

Tomorrow, he’d do it again.

Just like that, another two days passed. Watching his intimacy points steadily rise, Jian Xun had tasted the sweetness of success. His sneaking skills into the bedroom grew more practiced—but tonight, his luck was just a little off.

Standing at the bedroom door, Jian Xun glanced toward the bathroom where the sound of running water echoed. Then he raised a paw to push at the door in front of him. It didn’t budge.

Oh no—tonight the boss had closed the door.

The little white cat drooped in sadness for one second. No, wait!

He’d already learned how to open doors!

Eyes firm with determination, Jian Xun fixed his gaze on the door. Mimicking the method he had seen at the banquet, he stood on his hind legs, leapt up, and swiped his paw at the handle.

Click—

The door opened.

Sui Sui is amazing!

Jian Xun proudly swished his tail, strutting into the bedroom. Not forgetting his manners, he even gave the door a graceful kick with his hind leg to shut it behind him, then squeezed under the bed with his eyes closed.

He knew exactly when Shang Xuci would enter the room, when he would get into bed, when he would turn off the lights. Tonight was no different—climb onto the bed, tug the blanket into place, then curl up beside him.

The night was quiet, with only the occasional chirping of insects outside the window.

In the silence of the room, an unusual sound slowly emerged—the kitten’s soft, gentle purring.

Shang Xuci opened his phoenix eyes, staring directly at the little cat.

Curled up against his chest, the white kitten was a tiny fluffy ball, front paws hugging his backside, tail wrapped around himself, breathing steady, purring faintly.

From the very first night, he had noticed the little creature in his room. He could have easily picked him up and thrown him out—but the moment his hand touched the cat, it had, against his will, turned into a gentle stroke.

The second night, when he felt the little one by his side, he fell asleep even faster.

The same thing happened the following nights. With Sui Sui lying beside him, it didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.

He realized that without relying on medication, just listening to the little one’s purring was enough for him to fall asleep.

Could it be that… he had gotten used to it?

Shang Xuci’s gaze was a little complicated. After staring at the kitten for a while, he finally closed his eyes.

At dawn, the curtains had been pulled open, and warm sunlight crept quietly across the bed. Jian Xun rolled over, the light hitting his eyes directly. Instinctively, he stretched and opened them.

The moment he did, a magnified handsome face was right in front of him. His heart nearly stopped on the spot.

“Aow~”

See—he was so startled he couldn’t even meow properly.

The man fixed him with a steady look, expression helpless. After a long pause, he spoke:
“Didn’t I say you’re not allowed in the bedroom?”

Jian Xun: “Awuu—”

But I was just trying to help you with the blanket…

Since it was his own cat, Shang Xuci didn’t lecture further. He got up, put on his clothes, and instinctively checked the bedsheets for fur. Seeing it wasn’t too bad, his tightly furrowed brows eased a little.

Jian Xun still didn’t get down. Hugging the edge of the blanket with his front paws, he looked both guilty and aggrieved.

As expected, the man mercilessly “threw” him out of the room—cat bed and all.

Jian Xun carried his own cat mat back to the living room, hid inside his cardboard box, and started doing calculations against his intimacy points, checking how many candies he could exchange for with the past few days’ gains.

Still, he thought gloomily, after what happened this morning, sneaking into the boss’s bedroom again might be much harder.

Lost in his own little world, Jian Xun only gave distracted meows in response when Shang Xuci spoke to him. By the time he heard the door click shut, he finally came back to his senses.

Thump thump thump.

He ran to the entrance.

Did he go to work?

The sound of footsteps outside grew fainter and fainter. The little kitten drooped his head, slightly regretful—he really should have listened more carefully to what the man had said earlier.

Forget it… he would just wait until tonight to find out.

What he didn’t know was that this “wait” would stretch into several days.
