The Little Kitten is Saving the Villain Again Today! – Chapter 99

The Finale

They were still standing in the middle of the street, and Tang Xi felt too self-conscious under all the curious gazes.

But this time, just as Tang Xi lifted his foot to leave, Ji Wu firmly grasped his wrist.

Unlike Tang Xi, Ji Wu had no sense of embarrassment. He swept a cold gaze around at the onlookers, and in an instant, the crowd fell silent and averted their eyes.

“You didn’t finish your dessert earlier. I’ll take you to get something else,” Ji Wu said, his tone carrying the kind of persuasion one might use on a child.

Tang Xi happily nodded. “Okay! But just follow me—I have so many places I’ve always wanted to visit.”

Ji Wu hummed in acknowledgment. “On Earth, you call this ‘dating.’”

The moment he arrived in this world, he had absorbed its knowledge—he had done his homework thoroughly.

“We’ve met in our true forms, so we should date in our true forms too.”

No fabricated identities, no disguises.

Just Tang Xi and Ji Wu.

Tang Xi’s face flushed. “How do you say these things with a straight face?”

Despite his words, his eyes shone with unmistakable happiness.

He took Ji Wu to the park and grandly pulled out his own money to buy two buckets of caramel popcorn.

“Did you know? Back when I was just a little stray cat, I used to hide in this park. I always envied the kids who got to buy popcorn. But now… now I’m a cat who can eat popcorn too!”

As he ate, he led Ji Wu to the places where he used to hide.

“Look, across the street—that seafood restaurant. I tried going in once, but they kicked me out. But that day, a kind-hearted young lady gave me a fresh fish right on the sidewalk.”

“And over there, at that butcher shop near the market—I was so hungry once that I tried to steal just a tiny piece of meat. I thought I was doomed when they caught me. But the shop owner’s wife was so nice, she gave me a whole drumstick instead.”

Tang Xi counted on his fingers, listing all the kindnesses he had encountered while growing up.

What he once thought of as mere luck, he now realized it was the world’s way of loving him.

Ji Wu listened patiently, never interrupting. He hadn’t been able to be a part of the little cat’s past, but at least he could learn about it now.

He glanced up, lips curving slightly. He could feel the world’s affection for Tang Xi.

Tang Xi suddenly turned to him. “Thank you for making up for everything I missed in this world.”

At that moment, the warmth of the world’s consciousness surrounded them, fully accepting their union.

For the first time, Ji Wu felt the rejection he had always sensed from this world completely disappear.

Tang Xi, oblivious to this, only noticed Ji Wu suddenly reach out and ruffle his cat ears, messing up his sleek black hair.

The poop scooper is really mean and just loves to bully his cat.

They wandered around until the sun began to set. Finally, Tang Xi plopped down by the roadside and pouted.

“My feet hurt.”

Ji Wu raised a brow. “Squeamish.”

Still, he turned around and effortlessly hoisted Tang Xi onto his back. Tang Xi, delighted, kicked his feet playfully as Ji Wu carried him.

Ji Wu took him to their new home—leaving behind the cramped rental apartment.

The new house was almost identical to the grand mansion from their first world.

Tang Xi had no idea how he managed to move so quickly. Suspicious, he narrowed his eyes. “Where exactly did you get all this money?”

Ji Wu took his soft, pale hand and kissed it. “Don’t question your man.”

Even with all his memories restored, Ji Wu’s habit of being an affectionate, touchy-feely perv had only grown worse.

Tang Xi puffed out his cheeks in frustration. He had already planned how to work hard and support Ji Wu, but now? This!

Even if Ji Wu was stronger, wealthier—he was still the head of the household!

Determined to reclaim his authority, Tang Xi sat on Ji Wu’s lap, legs straddling him.

Because of their size difference, he ended up completely enveloped in Ji Wu’s embrace.

Trying to assert dominance, he flicked his fluffy tail against Ji Wu’s chin.

“Come on, tell me—why didn’t you show up to meet me sooner?”

“Do you know how scared I was after we were separated, when I left that world?”

The last part of Tang Xi’s sentence carried a hint of a pout, but in Ji Wu’s ears, it was filled with grievance.

Tang Xi nuzzled his black hair against Ji Wu’s firm chest, listening to the quickened heartbeat beneath it.

In the first two worlds, he hadn’t been sure whether the villain in every world would always be his poop scooper. So every time he was back in the system’s space, he was terrified.

Ji Wu kissed the reddened corners of his eyes. “Do you want to hear a story?”

A story?

Tang Xi tilted his head.

Ji Wu began, “At the beginning of all things, when the worlds first came into existence, a lonely judge emerged from the void. He was the very first Judge—the first pair of eyes to witness all of creation.”

“He had no emotions. He was tasked with overseeing the development of each world, stepping in only when their natural course went astray.”

Ji Wu’s grip on Tang Xi’s hand tightened slightly. “But as more and more worlds formed, eventually as vast as the starry river, he summoned many outstanding individuals from smaller worlds to become judges. He also created numerous systems, designed to travel across different worlds and recruit suitable individuals as taskers. And so, he became the Supreme Judge, distant and untouchable—still alone.”

Tang Xi’s tail slowly stopped swaying as he listened intently.

Ji Wu continued, “But from that moment on, his body started to deteriorate. The constant oversight of countless worlds caused him to absorb too much negative energy. Yet, if he didn’t do so, many worlds would collapse due to their own errors.”

“In the end, his entire being was nearly consumed by dark mist. The world consciousnesses began to reject him completely.”

It was obvious who the protagonist of this story was.

Tang Xi’s heart ached terribly. He clenched his fists, fuming, “But he became like that only because he was trying to save them!”

Ji Wu looked at his little cat, who was puffing up in distress for his sake, his eyes filled with amusement.

“That was all in the past,” he said softly. “Now, as long as you kiss me, I won’t feel bad anymore.”

Without hesitation, Tang Xi earnestly pecked the corner of Ji Wu’s lips. Just as he was about to pull away, Ji Wu held him in place and deepened the kiss.

Ji Wu finally bit his chubby cheek. Just as Tang Xi was about to lose his temper with the bite mark still on his face, Ji Wu quickly continued, “But then, one day, he discovered something strange…”

“A silly little cat was created by the world’s biased consciousness. Unlike me, who was despised by the world, he was practically born from its love and favoritism. That’s why, even though your existence clearly defies this world’s rules, you still managed to grow up safely here.”

Because from the very start, you were the world’s favorite.

Sure enough, Tang Xi instantly forgot his earlier frustration and continued listening intently. He even cheerfully chimed in, “That cat is me!”

Ji Wu took the chance to plant another kiss on him. “Smart boy.”

“You just called me silly a moment ago!” Tang Xi realized and, fuming, took a small bite at Ji Wu’s chest.

Ji Wu barely reacted to the faint pain, just letting out a deep chuckle before continuing, “So, the Judge sent a brand-new system to bring this silly little cat to other worlds to complete missions. In his eyes, rules were rules. There shouldn’t have been any sentient creatures like you in this world, so he defied the world’s consciousness and took the little cat away.”

“But in doing so, he completely lost control over himself. Because he had forcefully seized the world’s favored one, the negative energy within him finally reached its limit. To prevent himself from spiraling into total chaos, he had no choice but to cast his consciousness into the worlds.”

“Originally, he was meant to live as an ordinary person in each world and be healed by an ordinary life. But the world consciousness didn’t like him, so in every world, he was always destined to be a villain with a tragic end. And your mission just happened to be to save those villains.”

Unlike him, the world consciousness adored Tang Xi. No matter which world he traveled to, he would always change the fate of those who were originally meant to be forgotten.

And only Tang Xi—the world’s cherished one—could save him, the one the world had rejected.

No other tasker could have done it.

Tang Xi buried his face into Ji Wu’s chest again, mumbling, “Then… does that mean we can always find each other in every world…?”

Ji Wu: “The first time was fate. Every time after that… was my own doing.”

“…”

“Are you crying?”

Tang Xi sniffled. “No.”

Ji Wu gently patted his back. “Your tears are soaking my chest.”

“…That’s just my drool!” Ji Wu’s teasing completely derailed Tang Xi’s sorrow, dissipating most of his sadness.

Ji Wu didn’t expose the little cat’s need to save face. He simply stroked his back, smoothing his fur as if calming a ruffled kitten. “That’s why I didn’t dare to meet you before. I was afraid you’d be scared if you saw me covered in all that negative energy. It wasn’t until after the vampire world, when you had completely saved me, that I finally had the courage to kiss my treasure.”

Tang Xi suddenly wanted to cry again.

They had only been together for six worlds, but he had healed wounds that had been carved into Ji Wu for countless days and years before that.

Ji Wu was using the calmest words to confess his deepest love.

The atmosphere was just right. Ji Wu suddenly pulled a ring from his pocket and gently slipped it onto Tang Xi’s finger.

Tang Xi curiously touched the small, barely noticeable hole in the silver ring. Just as he was about to ask about it, a familiar, excited voice rang out—

[Host!!!]

Tang Xi’s eyes lit up.

“1551!?”

1551 was so excited it practically bounced up and down. [I missed you so much, wuwuwu!]

“I missed you too!” Tang Xi beamed.

1551 happily spun around Tang Xi, ready to pour out all of its bottled-up feelings. But before it could say another word, Supreme Judge suddenly kissed its host.

The next second, 1551 was forcefully locked back into a dark void.

In its final glimpse of the outside world, it saw the tall man flipping over and pressing his precious host beneath him.

1551: […]

Great. It was definitely going to be locked away for a long, long time this time…

Here’s a sneak peek of my super cute new story:

《After Turning Into a Cub, I Became Everyone’s Favorite》

Lu Congxing lived a normal eighteen years—until one day, he was suddenly told that he was actually a divine beast cub.

As a mixed-breed, his bloodline was highly unstable. Every time he woke up, he would find himself transformed into a different species.

The Bureau of Supernatural Affairs told him that the only way to stabilize his human form was to get physically close to a powerful, pureblooded demon.

Lu Congxing, a man of unshakable pride, flat-out refused.

He was someone who could punch an evil demon to death with his bare hands—how could he possibly rely on acting cute for a living? And with his lifelong nemesis, no less!

But that very night, as he stared at his own soft, furry paws—complete with pink, squishy toe beans that couldn’t even scratch a demon—he fell into deep contemplation.

A true warrior knows when to yield.

Without hesitation, Lu Congxing packed up his little bundle of belongings and moved in next door to his archenemy, He Zhouyan.

With great reluctance, he rolled onto his back and exposed his fluffy belly for petting.

. . . . .

As the last remaining Bai Ze in the world, He Zhouyan had always been terrible with animals.

Lately, however, it seemed like every strange little creature on the street was throwing itself at him.

Staring down at the furball once again sprawled at his feet, belly-up, He Zhouyan hesitated before tentatively reaching out a hand…

. . . . .

One day, Lu Congxing—having transformed into an injured little piglet—was found and taken home by He Zhouyan.

On the surface, he acted meek and well-behaved, but deep down, he was relentlessly roasting his lifelong rival, picking apart everything from his fashion sense to his personality.

What he didn’t know, however, was that as a Bai Ze, He Zhouyan had an unstable passive skill—the ability to hear the thoughts of all living creatures.

Gazing down at the tiny piglet in his arms, He Zhouyan smiled slowly and mused, “Hmm… I bet you’d make a nice soup.”

Lu Congxing, the piglet: !!!
