Chapter 101 – King of Entertainment: Loving You Across the World -Tang Tang’s Fantastic Adventure (Part 1) (08)

In the original plot, Wei Gudong accidentally got drugged and ran into the male lead in the hallway. She was taken away by Min Gunian, and from then on, her life underwent a qualitative leap.

But now…

Wei Gudong sat up, holding her sore and numb waist. When she saw the fat, pig-like man with a big head and ears sleeping next to her, her expression instantly collapsed.

She was only twenty, just entering society. She had never experienced anything like this before. The thought of being slept with by such an ugly man for no reason made her feel like the sky was falling.

Her crying woke the man. He waved his chubby hand and muttered, “So noisy…”

When he opened his eyes and saw the beautiful woman—who had been so eager last night—now crying, a wave of pity washed over him.

“I’m Xu Da, CEO of Feifeng Group. Be my lover, and I’ll give you whatever you want…”

Feifeng Group was the entertainment company Bai Tang had previously signed with. Although it wasn’t as large as the Min Corporation, it still held a solid position in the entertainment industry—much better than what Wei Gudong had, which was only a mentor’s recommendation.

Wasn’t Bai Tang just backed by the Min Corporation? Wei Gudong refused to lose to Bai Tang—absolutely not!

With that thought, she pretended to hesitate but eventually agreed.

At the top floor of the Min Corporation.

After Bai Tang finished filming his scenes, he didn’t take on any new projects.

Min Gunian couldn’t bear to let him go off for more exhausting shoots, and he also wanted to see his little boyfriend all the time—so he kept Bai Tang by his side every day.

While Min Gunian worked, Bai Tang would curl up on the small sofa nearby, holding a tablet and watching cartoons.

Meanwhile, Bai Tang’s team wasn’t idle either.

Although Our Youthful Days hadn’t officially aired yet, the PR team had already begun releasing promotional tidbits. With support and confirmation from the production crew, behind-the-scenes clips featuring Bai Tang—who played the third male lead, Du Yushu—showcased his adorable facial expressions and pure, refreshing aura. He quickly captured the hearts of many young female fans.

Thanks to their enthusiastic promotion, he also won over a wave of “mom fans” at lightning speed.

They all clutched their hearts and exclaimed, [He’s so cute~!]

[My little Tang Tang looks absolutely adorable when he’s eating~]

[Sisters, doesn’t he look like a squirrel? Little Tang Tang eats exactly like my pet squirrel, ah~]

[Could he be a squirrel spirit in disguise…]

[Look how sweet Tang Tang is when he’s sleeping. Oh—he’s drooling…]

[Yushu, don’t die! Ah—who wrote this script? I want to send them a knife in the mail!]

[My poor Tang Tang. If your brother doesn’t want you, come to Mama—Mama will make you delicious food.]

Our Youthful Days hadn’t even officially wrapped up yet, but just from the behind-the-scenes clips, Bai Tang’s popularity had skyrocketed.

Inside the videos was Bai Tang with his sweet, sunny smile. Outside the videos were female viewers squealing and clutching their cheeks.

The surge in popularity even caught the PR team off guard. Their admiration for their boss only grew—no wonder he’d become a titan in the entertainment industry. His eye for talent was razor-sharp.

Feifeng Group, on the other hand, was full of regret. How could they have let such a goldmine slip away? Why hadn’t they seen it before?

Riding this wave, Our Youthful Days became a hit before it even aired. The new generation of actors in the show all benefited, each gaining a decent number of new fans.

Wei Gudong angrily shut off her phone. She was still acting while having to deal with a fat pig of a man, while Bai Tang was climbing straight to the top. It was completely unfair.

No matter how bitter Wei Gudong felt, Our Youthful Days wrapped and aired as planned, receiving tremendous attention and glowing reviews.

As the female lead, Wei Gudong also became famous overnight. But because so many viewers adored Du Yushu, she attracted a fair share of haters along with the fame.

“Boss, Limited-Time Survival has invited Young Master Tang to be a guest.” Brother V placed a stack of documents on Min Gunian’s desk.

Limited-Time Survival was a wilderness survival reality show that seriously tested one’s ability to survive in the wild.

The guest list wasn’t limited to celebrities—it included trending stars, models, streamers, and even everyday citizens, spanning a wide range of backgrounds. Some participants gained massive popularity through the show, while others, who made fools of themselves, quietly withdrew from the public eye afterward.

Because participants faced unpredictable and raw challenges in nature, the show was known as the “Mirror of Humanity“—revealing a person’s truest self.

Dangerous?

Min Gunian didn’t even think it over. He rejected it outright. “Not going.”

Sitting nearby and playing on his tablet, Bai Tang perked up the moment he heard the word “wilderness.” His whole body lit up with excitement.

The little squirrel loved nature. After living in the city for so long, the idea of returning to the forest sounded like a dream come true.

“I want to go.”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it was firm.

“Tang Tang, the wilderness isn’t a game. The production team won’t be with you every second,” Min Gunian tried to reason with him. “And you’ll be gone for two whole months—no Bruce’s cake that whole time…”

But no matter what Min Gunian said, the little squirrel, who longed for the “homeland,” was completely unmoved.

Bai Tang turned to his agent. “Brother V, sign me up, please~~”

Was… was he acting cute?

Brother V’s ears turned slightly red. For most artists, he could make the call himself. But Bai Tang was different—he was the apple of Min Gunian’s eye. This had to go through the big boss.

Brother V looked hesitantly at Min Gunian. Seeing this, Bai Tang hopped off the sofa barefoot and ran over, tugging on Min Gunian’s hand.

“A-Nian, pretty please? I really want to go~”

His expression was pitiful, and his affectionate tone left Min Gunian completely defenseless.

“Pretty please~?”

Seeing the pleading look in Bai Tang’s eyes, Min Gunian sighed. A trace of helplessness flickered in his gaze. After a few seconds of thought, he finally gave in. “Alright, you can go.”

“Yay! A-Nian is the best! I love you so much!” Bai Tang cheered, threw his arms around Min Gunian’s neck, and planted a kiss on him.

Min Gunian smiled faintly and tapped the desk twice, exchanging a knowing look with Brother V.

Brother V got the message and quickly left the office to begin making arrangements for both the boss and the artist.

That evening, when Bai Tang found out that Min Gunian would also be joining the show, he was stunned.

“A Nian’s going too?!”

Thanks to Min Gunian’s careful care and attention, Bai Tang seemed to be aging in reverse. At twenty-seven, he didn’t look his age at all—his appearance had grown increasingly youthful, and his personality remained pure and innocent.

Min Gunian gently stroked Bai Tang’s soft, jet-black hair, the corners of his mouth curling into a smile.

“After sitting in an office for so long, I also wanted to experience what wilderness survival feels like. Doesn’t Tang Tang welcome me?”

“How could I not?!” Bai Tang’s eyes widened in surprise.

He lifted his little face and patted his chest. “A-Nian, don’t worry—I’ll take care of you!”

After all, the forest was his turf. He could protect A-Nian.

Min Gunian was infected by Bai Tang’s joy. “Then Tang Tang better protect me well.”

When Limited-Time Survival released the guest list for the upcoming season, viewers were stunned.

Not only had the show invited trending new-generation stars, but even the head of the Min Corporation—Min Gunian himself—had agreed to participate.

People were eager to see how this business legend would perform on the show. After all, the program’s survival process was completely transparent.

The production team would have emergency medical teams and rescue squads on standby, but the staff wouldn’t accompany the guests throughout the journey.

All footage came from drones, and every participant wore a distress signal device. If someone wanted to quit, pressing the button would summon a helicopter to extract them.

This season’s lineup was packed with buzzworthy names:

  • Entertainment tycoon Min Gunian
  • Gentle, youthful Bai Tang
  • Popular starlet Wei Gudong
  • Rising model Zhou Zhiwen
  • Fashion influencer Garry
  • Sexy livestream goddess Che Shuhui
  • E-sports prodigy Li Shu
  • Corporate elite Fan Hechang

Eight people in total.

Because of the large number of participants—and the fact that this season’s location was a dangerous primeval jungle—the showrunners decided, for safety reasons, to run the game in two-person teams.

To determine the teams, the show used a “drawing lots” system. Whoever drew matching colored balls would be paired together.

While the filming was unscripted and all decisions were made by the guests themselves, the production team couldn’t resist pulling some strings behind the scenes to stir up drama.

Team 1Red Ball: Che Shuhui & Li Shu
One is a sultry goddess beloved by legions of male fans; the other is an e-sports kid who only cares about computers and games. Can they find a way to work together?

Team 2Yellow Ball: Garry & Fan Hechang
One is a flamboyant fashion icon; the other a no-nonsense “steel straight man” and ultra-disciplined professional. What sparks will fly when these two collide?

Team 3Blue Ball: Min Gunian & Bai Tang
One is a legendary bachelor and business mogul; the other a clean-cut, adorable “squirrel youth” beloved by older sister and mom fans alike. Between sharp wit and innocent charm, who will be the first to fall for the other?

Team 4Purple Ball: Wei Gudong & Zhou Zhiwen
One is a sweet yet versatile starlet with a gentle demeanor; the other a model of mixed heritage with a body said to be the golden ratio. Both raised in sheltered environments—can they work seamlessly together?

All four teams had strong appeal—whether they clashed or complemented each other, each pairing had its own explosive potential.

After the team assignments were announced, they sparked wave after wave of online excitement. No matter which fandom or interest group people came from, everyone could find a combination to love.

“Brother Garry, you’re here too?” Bai Tang asked curiously while sitting in the lounge.

Garry replied with a tender expression, “Of course I’m here. Since my little cutie is participating, how could I not come? It’s a shame I didn’t get paired with you.”

He spread his hands in mock helplessness, then glanced at the serious-looking elite man checking his gear. “I ended up with a block of wood—stiff and boring.”

Bai Tang tilted his head and looked at Fan Hechang for a moment before commenting, “I think he seems very responsible.”

Hearing Bai Tang’s compliment, the elite man looked up and gave Bai Tang a small nod. Bai Tang smiled back in return—a simple greeting.

“Tang Tang,” Min Gunian called out after checking their supplies and waved him over.

Bai Tang hurried over. Min Gunian opened a bottle of milk and handed it to him. “Drink this first—once we’re inside, there won’t be any snacks.”

Each team’s gear was prepared by the production crew. The packs contained only non-perishable food items, all packaged in environmentally friendly materials. Still, each team was required to store empty wrappers back in the bag and take them out when leaving. Water was provided in metal containers.

The production team even thoughtfully included seasonings in every pack, so the guests could enhance the flavor of any wild game they managed to hunt in the jungle.
