Chapter 19 (Part 1) – Kiss
The long-awaited weekend arrived.
In the end, I couldn’t come up with any excuses.
I made a phone call.
Aoi-san didn’t bring up the topic of sexy underwear.
I was happy about Aoi-san’s kindness.
“Well, thank you for your hard work.”
“Oh, Dohmoto-senpai is taking care of that. It should be ending soon, right?”
Daiki came to report, looking exhausted, just after I had gone to report.
I checked my luggage and froze.
Inside my bag was the underwear in that bag.

“Mei, how about having dinner together?”
“I have a date with my boyfriend.”
“He’s that rumored sexy handsome guy, right?”
“I don’t want to tell you, so no.”
I quickly packed my belongings and tried to leave.
“Going down together would be fine, right?”
“No, it’s not.”

“I don’t understand the point of being kind.”
Right now, I’m going through a tough time.
The fact that Ishiyama, Hayama, and Taiki are in my department is causing strange rumors to circulate that I’m using my position as department head to flirt with them. I’m being looked at with suspicion by female employees.
To be honest, I want someone to replace me.
I’d like to say to the Clumsy Brothers, “Daiki will take care of things somehow, so I don’t need to be here.”
Talking about work with Daiki is fun. But when it comes to private matters and whether I want to be involved with him again, that’s a different story.
Daiki was not the companion my heart truly desired.
Instead, I wanted to meet with Aoi.
The fatigue in my heart right now will surely dissipate once I see Aoi-san.
I want to meet Aoi-san quickly.
As I hurriedly made my way through the lobby, I saw Aoi in front of the company.
He wasn’t surrounded by anyone yet.
Just as I rushed through the automatic doors, someone grabbed my arm.
Curious, I turned to look at the arm that had grabbed mine, and it was Daiki.
“What?”
“You forgot something.”
Honestly, I can’t remember when I left it behind, but I think it’s an old handkerchief I used to have.
“You don’t have to give it to me right now.”
“I can return it anytime, but it’s best not to forget it.”
Daiki reached out towards my head.
Instinctively, I tried to avoid it, but someone hugged me from behind.
His muscular arms had silver accessories, and I could tell they were Aoi-san’s arms.
“Nice to meet you, Mei’s current boyfriend.”
“Nice to meet you, I’m Kawai Aoi. And you?”
“I’m Daiki Domoto. Mei’s ex-boyfriend.”
“You don’t have to mention that, do you?”
I couldn’t help but make a comment.
“Heh, ex-boyfriend…”
“Oh, Aoi-san?”
Aoi-san smiled and said to Daiki.
“Breaking up with Mei would be foolish, wouldn’t it? Ah, No, thank you for breaking up with her. Thanks to you, Mei came to me. Of course, I’ll take good care of Mei for your sake, so please don’t worry.”
Aoi-san’s voice sounded distant.
“Well then, I’ll take my leave.”
Aoi-san let go of my hand and left the spot.
