Chapter 16 (Part 1) – Pudding
When I woke up, I was being embraced by Aoi-san.
I stayed over at Aoi-san’s place yesterday.
Being in Aoi-san’s arms is calming.
Since I have the chance, I want to get closer.
I snuggle up against Aoi-san’s chest.
“Seriously, give me a break.”
“Huh?”
“Can I also rub my face against your chest?”
“Sorry, I was half asleep. Good morning.”
“… … …”
“I’m hungry.”
“You’re such a foodie… I’ll make something now.”
Aoi-san sat up.
I also sat up and extended my arms.
Looking at the bewildered Aoi-san, I tilted my head and said,
“Wanna hug?”
“… … Yes.”
Aoi-san wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my chest.
“Wow… This is bad.”
“What’s wrong?”
I slowly stroked Aoi-san’s head.
“This is bad…”
“If you don’t like it, I can move away.”
“There’s no way I wouldn’t like it, right?”
“So what’s the matter?”
“Well, it feels like my ‘son’ is about to explode.”
“… … I didn’t want to hear that.”
“It can’t be helped! It’s morning, and if a guy’s favorite girl does something like this, his ‘son’ would go wild.”
“I told you I didn’t want to hear it!”
“Is it okay if I just push you down like this?”
“Obviously not! It’s obviously not okay!”

“Chii-kun is here, and my stomach is growling.”
“What if Chi wasn’t here?”

“I guess I’ll still have to kill Kouji.”
“Is Kouji Chi-kun’s father?”
“Yeah, exactly. Yesterday, he asked me if I could take care of Chi for a while. You see, Chi, due to his appearance, often ends up in situations like attempted kidnappings or being stalked. It’s tough for him. So, I don’t want Chi to be alone if I can help it.”

“Even though he is a bit socially awkward, he is easily get attached to people… and he is more affectionate with you than me.”
Could Aoi-san be sulking?
“Aren’t you going to have a lot of romantic moments with me from now on? And you only get to see Chii-kun occasionally, right?”
“Yeah, that’s true… But it would be nice if I could have all of you.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“… … I’m in trouble… I’ve suddenly become calm and rational… to the point that even my ‘son’ has withdrawn from me…”
Aoi-san let out a deep sigh.
For now, I gently stroked Aoi-san’s head.
After changing into the clothes I wore yesterday and putting on makeup, I headed to the living room. Aoi-san had prepared breakfast – omelets, corn soup, and bagels stuffed with plenty of ham and vegetables.
Breakfast was ready, and after a while, Chii-kun also woke up and sat next to me.
“Chi, there’s also blueberry cheesecake. What would you like?”
“Cheesecake and café au lait.”
“Understood.”
The two of them are really close.
“Miko-chan! Did you get to have a romantic time with Aoi-chan?”
“To some extent.”
“That’s great. If Miko-chan doesn’t mind, will you play with me again?”
“Of course!”
“Hehehe.”
Aoi-san, holding the cheesecake and café au lait, said with a somewhat complicated expression.
“Only occasionally! Don’t come every week, seriously.”
“I get it, Dad~”
“I’m not your dad!”
“Daddy~ Get me café au lait too!”
“… … It kinda warms my heart to be called ‘Daddy’ by you.”
“You pervert~”
“Hey!”
For some reason, I found it fun and burst into laughter.
Afterward, the three of us had breakfast together. After the meal, Aoi-san brought us Earl Grey tea, and we spent a relaxing time together.
Then, the doorbell rang.
“Is it Kouji?”
“Probably.”
Chiharu-kun’s father! I’d love to meet him!
As Aoi-san headed to the front door, Chiharu-kun clung to my arm and said
“I’d be happy if Miko-chan and Aoi-chan got married. Miko-chan, you’re so different from the other women around Aoi-chan, and Aoi-chan’s reactions are totally different too. When Aoi-chan took care of me, even if he had plans to meet other women, he would cancel them without hesitation.”
Chii-kun smiled, looking a bit embarrassed.
“Aoi-chan wants to be with someone who won’t make him break promises, and that person is you, Miko-chan. So, make Aoi-chan happy.”
“… … I’m the one who feels happier, though.”
“Aoi-chan’s cooking is delicious!”
“Are you making fun of me?”
“Miko-chan, you’re a big eater!”
It’s sad that I can’t deny that.
