The call was answered almost instantly, but Mu Ci didn’t speak. Covering the phone’s microphone, he walked out of Yan Luo’s room.

It was clear she was trying to keep a low profile. But in Lin Yixuan’s opinion, Wang Shi was still being too hasty. If she had slowed her pace just a bit more, he might not have noticed anything. But she acted like she was racing against something, eager to showcase her abilities.

And what was even weirder, Wang Shi clearly had no prior connection to his boss or Yan Luo, yet her recent words and actions seemed deliberately directed at them. It completely defied logic.
