Chapter 230 – Professor, Please Don’t Raise Zombies (20)
What do I want to do? Yan Che’s lips curved slightly.
Yan Luo’s black hair cascaded down, still damp, her skin glowing with a delicate sheen. Her slightly awkward expression made her look both charming and adorable.
And she was so close, just within reach.
Lifting his hand, he gently tilted Yan Luo’s chin, forcing her evasive eyes to meet his own.
This time, she could clearly see the dangerous amusement flickering in his gaze. Her small body trembled, nails instinctively extending as she widened her round eyes at him.
He seemed to be pondering something, his fingertip tracing an ambiguous path along her chin. His other hand encased her small hands, restraining her completely.
At that moment, Yan Luo’s body tensed slightly, her form arching forward under the control of the vines. Her delicate curves became all the more pronounced, drawing an even more dangerous glint to Yan Che’s eyes.
A deep, husky chuckle resonated against her eardrums. “What’s wrong? Afraid?”
“No!” Her answer was too quick, making her guilt even more obvious.
Yan Che’s fingers pried apart her slightly clenched ones, slipping into her palm and giving a light, teasing scratch.
The sensation was too strange, too subtle. Just as she tried to pull away, he leaned in, and a gentle touch landed right at her collarbone.
Yan Luo’s body went rigid. Her eyes widened as she stared at the soft, furry head now resting on her shoulder. He sucked lightly, cool droplets from his damp hair sliding onto her skin, sending a shiver through her.
As if unintentionally, he lifted his head. From this angle, Yan Luo could see an unusual gleam in his dark eyes.
Sensing her stiffness, he let out a helpless sigh. “If you scratch me now, you’ll leave marks.”
Saying so, he withdrew his hand, revealing a few shallow red streaks, faint traces of blood surfacing.
When she was nervous just now, he hadn’t expected her to tighten her grip so instinctively. Combined with those sharp little nails of hers, the force had been stronger than even he anticipated.
“Let me go! Your clothes are already at the door.” Yan Luo snapped back to reality, struggling in protest.
Yet, at that moment, a vine slithered up the hem of her clothes, cool and slick as it brushed against her skin, sending a shudder through her.
The so-called “beast in human’s clothing” had now reined in his usual wicked aura. But perhaps it was because he wasn’t wearing glasses, because at this moment, he looked far more dangerous than his usual refined self.
He wiped a drop of water from his face and studied Yan Luo for a long moment. Just before she could explode in indignation, he finally spoke, his tone as serious as if delivering a research report.
“Lately, since I’ve been taking care of you, I haven’t found any useful experimental materials.”
…What?
Yan Luo tilted her head. “And?”
“So, my research will have to be put on hold for a while.”
—Oh. Okay… and?
“Which has made me feel rather anxious and depressed.” He curved his lips once again.
Anxious and depressed? Hah, could’ve fooled her.
Just as she scoffed inwardly, a strange feeling crept up her spine. Her eyes widened.
—(ΩДΩ) Wait, why does this feel off? Weren’t you supposed to be my pure and innocent little gentleman?!
Seeing her tilt her head in confusion, clearly trying to decipher his words, Yan Che leisurely continued his beast-in-gentleman’s-clothing speech:
“According to scientific studies, a healthy s*xual activity is an effective way to alleviate stress.”
