Becoming Popular Through The “All Villains” Variety Show – Chapter 49 Part 2

Part 2 of Chapter 49

Do You Still Hate Her? 39 – Becoming popular through a character trailer

Ou Yi looked at Shang Lu and then at Song Zeqian, saying, “I will study hard. If you two get divorced, I won’t have a Mom and Dad.”

Everyone : “…?”

[I’m a fan of Ou Yi. Let me explain to everyone that he is really good at immersing himself in the roles he watches. For example, he watched Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf when he was young and believed he was a member of Goat Village, determined to resist the Big Bad Wolf… Even now, he still regularly searches online every month to make sure the Big Bad Wolf didn’t successfully eat his sheep brothers and sisters 🙂]

[Also, during his second performance on the talent show, Ou Yi’s eyes were swollen, and he was mocked for it. It turns out that the program team had shown them a heartbreaking movie the night before, and the livestream showed him crying alone in his bed until 3:30 in the morning, wiping his tears. His roommate even scolded him behind his back, hahaha]

[People who seem to get into character : Song Zeqian and Shang Lu. The one who really gets into character : Ou Yi. The one who wants to leave this place : Yu Su.]

[Why does this guy become more and more careless and exposed himself? The more he exposed, greater the contrast with his image, hahaha]

Song Zeqian really didn’t want to talk with Ou Yi.

But when his leg was hugged, and faced with Ou Yi’s crying and howling, he couldn’t break free no matter how hard he tried. He gritted his teeth and said, “I won’t leave, let go of me. Isn’t it enough if I don’t leave?”

As soon as Song Zeqian finished speaking, his wristband emitted a bright light, accompanied by a series of electric shocks, ten in a row.

Shang Lu slightly opened her mouth and covered it with her hand.

Then she said, “Ah? I’ve won just like that.”

[Hahaha, Shang Lu : I don’t understand, but I’m deeply impressed]

[Ou Yi repaying his benefactor.]

This absurd romance variety show ended in such an absurd way. It was already very weird anyway, so whatever, the fans were happy watching it.

After the recording ended that day, when the fans were supporting them, Ou Yi and Yu Su turned into Shang Ouyi and Song Yusu, and the scene became extremely absurd for a while.

The only person who felt happy was Ye Lu, because his fans fulfilled his request by showering him with exaggerated praise.

On the other side, the guests from <Love is Love> finally ended their painful day working at the restaurant while cross-dressing.

Everyone felt exhausted, but there was one person here who felt happy, and that was Yan Zijiao.

Yan Zijiao was in a very good mood today because he firmly remembered the advice given by Shang Lu yesterday. Today, he managed to control his temper and ignored the Green Tea Guy, not allowing himself to be taken advantage of by the other.

Indeed, what Shang Lu taught was right.

Yan Zijiao removed the obstructive wig and wiped off the makeup that had been blinding his eyes. He was preparing to have the late-night snack prepared by the program team when he picked up his phone to check the time. However, he found that Weibo had sent him notifications :

[<The Most Hated Her and Him>! This episode is full of energy!]

[Shang Lu uses the ultimate exaggerated praise move to eliminate Ye Lu, and Ye Lu says he’s happy despite losing.]

[Xu Ze queues for three hours under the scorching sun to buy cake for Shang Lu, to repay the favor from years ago.]

[Shang Lu offers online advice to couples; love advice from Teacher Shang is a must!]

Yan Zijiao originally planned to delete all these messages but stopped when he saw the last one and then clicked on it.

A very short video clip.

Shang Lu’s voice sounded gentle, “In the future, when you encounter problems, communicate well. Both of you should avoid speaking with each other in a quarrelsome tone, especially since you like each other. It can hurt the relationship.”

Yan Zijiao was slightly stunned.

Don’t use a quarrelsome tone with the person you like; it can hurt the relationship.

He was always impatient and sometimes didn’t pay attention to his tone when speaking, even though he wasn’t really angry, but it could easily be misunderstood.

His mind raced, wondering if he had said anything with a quarrelsome tone today.

He remembered! Today, he had broken a plate, and his girlfriend had come to help. He told her not to touch it because he was afraid she would get hurt. But what if she misunderstood and thought he found her a nuisance?

Yan Zijiao quickly got up, deciding to go explain this matter to his girlfriend immediately. He couldn’t let her think too much!

After Yan Zijiao left, his door was knocked on.

Tang Qingqing walked in holding the mission card in her hand, with a cameraman following behind.

The room was empty, but Yan Zi Jiao’s phone was on the table, still playing a video on autoplay.

Tang Qingqing walked over, ready to turn off the phone screen for him.

Then she saw that the video on the screen had finished playing and was switching to the next one—

[Shang Lu guided Lin Yanyan’s acting, her superb performance impressing Song Zeqian]

Tang Qingqing directly turned off Yan Zijiao’s phone and then looked at the camera with a helpless expression, “It seems like Male#3 isn’t here. We’ll have to come back later.”

After saying that, Tang Qingqing asked the cameraman to pause recording and quickly returned to the rest area.

At the moment she closed the door, she quickly took out her own phone and started searching for keywords related to the video on Weibo.

Sure enough, she found it.

Tang Qingqing had never seen Shang Lu’s acting before, so she thought, Let’s just take a casual look; it’s probably nothing special anyway. But she unexpectedly discovered that Shang Lu was acting against Lin Yanyan, and Shang Lu was playing her character?

Tang Qingqing immediately felt disdainful. She had hired a dedicated acting coach and received guidance from the production team to perform her role well. The director had always praised her performance. It wasn’t something that Shang Lu could easily excel at.

However, as she continued watching, Tang Qingqing’s expression changed.

What shocked her was that she could tell Shang Lu didn’t put too much effort into the performance; Shang Lu’s main focus was guiding Lin Yanyan. Yet, strangely enough, Shang Lu’s relaxed approach unexpectedly portrayed the character quite well, blending a cold and indifferent demeanor with the concealed pain and restraint, making it more natural than her own performance.

Because of the comparison, Tang Qingqing finally understood why her acting coach had always said that she was overacting.

This knowledge that she hadn’t grasped for so long suddenly became clear in that moment.

The feeling was quite complex.

<The Most Hated Her and Him> had a total of twelve episodes in the first season. When they initially signed the contract, they had set a 7+5 model, where the first seven episodes would be shot without interruption every week to build up hype on the internet. The last five episodes would be recorded every half month.

Shang Lu thought it was quite good, after all, they had almost finished recording, and the focus was now on getting back to filming.

However—

She still needed to eat.

Before wrapping up filming on the second day, Shang Lu asked Chi Yan if he was free today. After getting a positive response, Shang Lu came over to join for a meal.
