Wen Le of Rebirth in the End Times (BL) – Chapter 49 Outbreak

Just as the strange silence fell below, a sudden burst of gunfire and a cacophony of sounds erupted from the stairs above.

The middle-aged man who had been watching Wen Le with a frown was just about to send someone to see what was happening when he saw someone charging down the stairs.

“Boss! They have allies!” The middle-aged man was taken aback and pointed his gun at Han Ya.

In his eyes, the two men who had protected Han Ya before had fought to the death to prevent them from harming Han Ya. Now, the young man called “Wen Shao” in front of him was also emotionally unstable because of Han Ya. Therefore, Han Ya’s importance was self-evident.

However, his hesitation was a fatal mistake. His movement ignited the already fragile emotional state of Wen Le, causing an outbreak of emotions stairs.

Xiao Wen quickly dealt with the others. Except for the first few who were shot dead by him, he only broke their hands and feet, making them unable to resist. The middle-aged man whose wrist was broken by Wen Le was given special “treatment” by Xiao Wen, as he dared to spy on him, Xiao Wen.

“It’s okay, it’s okay…” Hearing Wen Le’s voice, Xiao Wen turned his head along with the others to look at him.

Only to see Wen Le holding Han Ya in his arms.

Han Ya, who was being held, looked surprised and twisted, as he had already seen the dark look in Xiao Wen’s eyes aimed at him.

Wen Le innocently held Han Ya, comforting him by patting his back, but the next sentence left everyone stunned.

“It’s okay, Wen Le, it’s okay… Don’t be afraid.”

Han Ya cautiously turned his head to look at the warm embrace around him, and he vaguely understood something.

But it was precisely because of this vague understanding that Han Ya and Xiao Wen were both shocked and pained.

Wen Le was still immersed in his own thoughts, comforting Han Ya on one hand while slowly directing his gaze towards the middle-aged man who was tied up by Xiao Wen.

“It’s okay, Wen Le, bad people will disappear…” As Warm’s voice fell, visible circles of white shadows surrounded him.

The next moment, the white shadows rushed towards the middle-aged man lying on the ground.

Lin Yan and several others happened to step into the stairs at this time and saw the bloody scene of the middle-aged man being torn apart.

Ugh!

Following behind Lin Yan, Jinzi and Xiaotao bent over and vomited directly.

Lin Yan suppressed the sourness in his chest and stared dumbfoundedly at the white shadows that caused the scene of flesh and blood flying back to Wen Le’s side and disappearing.

While vomiting, Xiaotao couldn’t help but once again marvel at his brother Lin Yan’s accurate judgment of people. A wolf in sheep’s clothing? Damn it! Is this a dinosaur wearing a rabbit skin?!

Seeing that the “bad guy” had been dealt with on the spot, Wen Le turned around and gently touched Han Ya’s face.

“It’s okay, Wen Le. No one will protect you, but I will protect you!”

After finishing his words, Wen Le fell straight down and was quickly caught by Han Ya. Wen Le was already shorter than Han Ya, and it looked awkward when he hugged Han Ya earlier. However, being held horizontally by Han Ya now felt more natural.

Regardless of how natural it may seem, Xiao Wen was not willing to let Wen Le lie in someone else’s arms. Not even his most loyal subordinate and friend was allowed to do so!

Han Ya handed Wen Le over to their leader and took the coat handed to him by Mo Yan. He put it on, buttoned it up, and nodded to the others.

“Let’s go back.” He then stepped forward to support Yin Chengyang and looked towards Lin Yan.

“Excuse me, may I ask…”

Lin Yan steadied his mind and didn’t look at the pile of minced meat on the side.

“Hello, Lin Yan,” Han Ya nodded understandingly.

“My boss and Wen Shao mentioned you yesterday. Two boys came to me at the instruction of Xiao Wen and Wen Shao, and I asked about the situation before bringing my men over here.” Lin Yan explained.

Han Ya nodded. It seemed that the boss and the others were not at ease with Qi Rui and Zhao Xiaogang, so they sent them to Lin Yan’s place. However, he did not expect Lin Yan to bring people over.

“Two boys were sent to my place by Xiao Wen and Wen Le at their request. I asked about what happened and brought people here to take a look,” Lin Yan explained.

“Thank you. Let’s go upstairs and talk. Could you please help us carry these guys up together?”

Lin Yan nodded, and Jinzi and Xiaotao, who had just managed to stop their nausea, picked up the several people whose limbs were severed and still alive.

“Don’t thank us. We didn’t help much. Even if we didn’t come, you could handle it,” Lin Yan said, glancing at the unconscious Wen Le being held by Xiao Wen.

As Han Ya, along with Lin Yan and the others, made their way up, they saw Qi Rui and Zhao Xiaogang rushing down in a panic.

“Come help me hold him,” Han Ya quickly called out to the two of them, asking them to support Yin Chengyang. The scene below was not very pleasant. Although he wanted to train these kids, he did not want to stimulate them too much at once.

Thinking this, Han Ya turned his head and took a glance at Chen Ye, who was carried up by Mo Yan. When his leg was broken, he was already pale enough. Now, he had lost all his color. It seemed that he had been too stimulated.

“Oh my god! This… this…” Qi Rui held Yin Chengyang’s arm and looked at his bloody body and Chen Ye, who was carried up behind him, frightened and inarticulate.

Zhao Xiaogang, with sharp eyes, was the first to notice Wen Le, who was being held by Xiao Wen, and exclaimed, “Xiao Boss, Wen Shao, he…”

Xiao Wen glanced at the two of them, his expression slightly easing.

“It’s okay, he just passed out.”

When he took over Wen Le earlier, he listened to Wen Le’s heartbeat. He didn’t understand much, but he knew Wen Le’s heartbeat was steady and strong, and his body wasn’t injured. Although he was still worried, he at least knew there was no threat to Wen Le’s life. What he was most worried about now was Wen Le’s reaction before he passed out.

This made him have to think back to three months ago, when Wen Le suddenly accepted his feelings. Did something happen at that time that he didn’t know about?

Otherwise, where did Wen Le’s reaction just now come from?

On the surface, Xiao Wen appeared normal, but his heart was pricked with pain. What had Wen Le experienced before? What did “Wen Le, no one will protect you, I will protect you” mean?! Who had hurt the person he had been guarding all this time?!

Han Ya understood his boss’s current mood, so he gave a signal to Qi Rui and the others, telling them not to disturb their boss.

“I am a doctor.” A man walked out of the group of people who had come with Lin Yan and approached Xiao Wen. He took a look at the people who had just come up from below and then examined Wen Le.

Xiao Wen quickly laid Wen Le flat on the ground and waited for the man to check on him.

The man lifted one of Wen Le’s hands and explained to Xiao Wen when he saw him looking. “I’m a traditional Chinese medicine doctor.” He then carefully felt Wen Le’s pulse for a while before letting go of his hand. “It’s nothing serious, he just fainted. It should be due to a shock to his spirit, causing his emotions to fluctuate. Try to ease his mood when he wakes up. If conditions permit, I can prescribe some herbs for you…” The man stopped abruptly, feeling somewhat bitter. Where can one find herbs nowadays?!

Xiao Wen held Wen Le in his arms again and said, “That would be troublesome. We’ll find the herbs ourselves. Can you please prescribe the medicine for us?”

The man nodded and walked towards Chen Ye. Although Yin Chengyang was covered in blood, he looked better than Chen Ye, who was wavering between consciousness and unconsciousness.

Mo Yan helped lay Chen Ye down.

After the examination, the man had someone find two straight iron plates and tore a cotton cloth that looked like a bed sheet from somewhere on the ground into strips to help Chen Ye fix his leg bone.

Fortunately, it was only fractured, and it happened recently. After a good recovery, there would be no major problems.

Yin Chengyang was even simpler, just stopping the bleeding. Fortunately, Qi Rui brought their car, which had a medicine kit prepared for Wen Le, with clean bandages and hemostatic medicine.

He carefully wrapped the wounds on Yin Chengyang’s body, and before the man got off the car, he looked at Yin Chengyang again.

He hadn’t expected so many wounds on Yin Chengyang, and they were so deep. Some of them even cut into the tendons and bones, and they would have to be stitched up after they got back. Even though he was so badly injured, this big guy still looked like a normal person. What a strange person!

Han Ya had Yin Chengyang lie on his lap, while Xiao Wen held Wen Le in the front passenger seat. In the middle row, Qi Rui and Zhao Xiaogang squeezed Chen Ye between them.

Lin Yan had Mo Yan follow them in another car, heading towards the shopping mall where Lin Yan’s team was stationed. Xiao Wen remained silent and did not object. There were too many wounded around him, and Lin Yan’s place had a warm temperature and was relatively safe. Although they could go find the army now, they would inevitably have to bump along with the army for more than a day before they could head back. It was better to rest well at Lin Yan’s place.

After the car started, Han Ya looked down at the man lying on his lap.

Seeing Han Ya looking at him, Yin Chengyang grinned and silently asked him not to worry.

Han Ya stared at his eyes until the goosebumps on his body rose before turning his gaze away. What a fool!

Han Ya silently cursed in his heart, but couldn’t stop his heart from softening.

He couldn’t help but recall the scene when this man, with red eyes, rushed up to pull away the people who were doing evil things to him, and even though he was being stabbed repeatedly, he held on tightly and refused to let go.

Han Ya felt his eyes starting to heat up, his nose becoming a bit sour. He took deep breaths, trying to stop the tears from spilling out, but was defeated by the sudden warmth in his hand.

Yin Chengyang lay on Han Ya’s leg and saw Han Ya with red eyes. He comforted him by holding his hand, but didn’t expect to make him shed tears directly.

Yin Chengyang nervously tried to sit up, but was held down by Han Ya.

“Be still!” Han Ya scolded in a low voice.

Yin Chengyang obediently lay still, staring straight at the tear marks on Han Ya’s face with his eyes, until Han Ya glared at him angrily, then he awkwardly lowered his eyes.

Han Ya reached out and covered Yin Chengyang’s eyes, while his other hand secretly wiped away the tear marks. When he looked forward, he met the gaze of Xiao Wen in the rearview mirror. He turned his head unnaturally and looked out the window.
