Chapter 28: I’m Very Obedient
Qi Xu held Xie Yang’s hand and scratched his palm.
Feeling that merely holding hands couldn’t fill the void in his heart, it was as if he suddenly developed separation anxiety.
The one-minute ride in the elevator felt unusually long, and the sudden silence made Xie Yang feel a bit uneasy. Qi Xu had been affectionate towards him in the car just now, so why did he suddenly become distant?
Had something happened that he didn’t know about?
Xie Yang obediently followed behind Qi Xu, his thoughts in disarray as he recalled every little detail of their evening together, trying to pinpoint what could have upset Qi Xu.
Ding
The elevator doors opened.
Qi Xu’s footsteps noticeably quickened, and Xie Yang hurriedly followed behind him.
As the door opened, Qi Xu pulled him inside as soon as he stepped through the door.
Xie Yang exclaimed in surprise, “What…”
His unfinished words drowned in kisses full of desire.
The door closed behind them, and he was pressed against it, his chin lifted to endure Qi Xu’s dense kisses.
Xie Yang’s heart fluttered lightly, and he obediently closed his eyes.
The lengthy kiss continued for quite some time. Xie Yang was immersed in Qi Xu’s assertive kiss, feeling dizzy and overwhelmed, his heart in turmoil.
Was Qi Xu not angry but just wanted to kiss him?
Dazedly, Xie Yang still thought about Qi Xu’s sudden coldness towards him earlier.
“Mm…”
Xie Yang went limp in Qi Xu’s arms.
Backlit, Qi Xu’s face was obscured by the light, but Xie Yang could faintly feel Qi Xu’s gaze on him—possessive, dominant, and filled with desire.
Nervously, Xie Yang bit his lip as Qi Xu lowered his head again to lightly kiss the wet mark on his lips.
Warm tongues slipped into his mouth again, effortlessly parting his lips and greedily capturing his breath.
Xie Yang’s breathing became erratic again, countless sighs gradually swallowed by Qi Xu.
Just as he was about to suffocate, Qi Xu finally released him.
“I’ve wanted to kiss you for so long.”
Qi Xu encircled his waist, burying his head in the crook of his neck.
The heavy sound of his breathing surrounded Xie Yang’s ear.
Xie Yang’s throat felt dry as he weakly leaned against Qi Xu’s chest.
So, Qi Xu wasn’t angry after all, he had just misunderstood.
His cheeks flushed crimson, spreading to his ears, and his eyes misted with a layer of moisture, lips shimmering with water.
Fortunately, the hallway light wasn’t on; he didn’t want Qi Xu to see him looking so shy.
Qi Xu’s muscles were tense and firm, his arms around him tight, as if he wanted to embed him in his embrace.
Even through their thick clothes, Xie Yang could feel the warmth emanating from him.
It’s so hot.
Qi Xu held him for a long time before finally relaxing his grip, releasing his embrace, and kissing him on the cheek.
Xie Yang gently pushed Qi Xu’s chest, then slowly withdrew from his arms and slipped away.
Qi Xu watched his fleeing figure, licking his lips with lingering desire.
When Xie Yang came out of the shower, the spacious living room was quiet, illuminated only by a wall lamp, the TV screen casting a eerie red glow.
Qi Xu’s gaze had been fixed on him since he entered the living room.
His invasive gaze scanned him from head to toe.
Xie Yang kept his head down, deliberately avoiding Qi Xu’s gaze.
Even though he was clad in fluffy pajamas that covered him from head to toe, he felt as if Qi Xu’s gaze was stripping him layer by layer.
Leaving him with nowhere to hide.
Xie Yang slowly sat down in a corner of the sofa, keeping a considerable distance from Qi Xu.
Feeling a bit guilty.
The sofa was so large, he could sit anywhere. There was no need for them to be crowded together.
Qi Xu raised an eyebrow at the sight of Xie Yang and said, “Come over.”
Xie Yang hesitated for a moment, met Qi Xu’s gaze, then quickly shifted his eyes away.
His heartbeat gradually sped up, inexplicably fluttering.
Qi Xu lazily leaned back in his chair, crossing his legs, his intentions clear.
Xie Yang slowly shifted his bottom, inching closer until he was seated next to him.
Qi Xu patted his thigh and glanced at him lightly, “Sit here.”
Xie Yang hesitated, shyly tugging at the hem of his clothes, wanting to refuse but not wanting to upset Qi Xu. In the end, he obediently sat on his lap.
He carefully settled on Qi Xu’s lap, supporting himself against the couch with his hands, trying not to make Qi Xu feel his weight.
Qi Xu immediately wrapped his arms around his waist, pulling him closer, and chuckled softly, “How heavy can you be?”
Xie Yang whispered, “Around 94 pounds.”
Qi Xu responded, “So light, no wonder I feel nothing but bones when I touch you.”
Xie Yang quietly retorted, “I do eat well.”
He wasn’t skinny; he just didn’t appear noticeably plump.
Qi Xu nodded, “Hmm, I noticed that when I was watching you.”
With the warmth and softness in his arms, Qi Xu’s mind was somewhat stirred.
He caressed Xie Yang’s arm, the smooth touch making him linger.
The sweet scent of shower gel filled the air, and he sniffed lightly at Xie Yang’s neck, “So sweet.”
Xie Yang blushed, embarrassment flooding over him, and he kept his head down, unable to meet Qi Xu’s gaze.
Qi Xu stole a kiss on his cheek and chuckled, “We didn’t finish watching the movie this afternoon. Will you stay and watch a bit more with me?”
The afternoon movie…
He remembered it was a horror film.
Xie Yang had never dared to watch such horror movies since he was little; even suspenseful movies scared him.
But he didn’t want to spoil Qi Xu’s mood.
He remembered Qi Xu saying he got scared after watching a horror movie and wanted him to stay to sleep together.
Though he suspected Qi Xu made up the reason, he actually turned on a horror movie and asked him to continue watching.
Xie Yang: “…”
Now he felt like a bitter gourd.
His face was green with embarrassment, his heart filled with bitterness.
As the movie played on, eerie music started playing, and Xie Yang held his breath nervously, watching the big screen.
There was nothing particularly strange on the screen, but he felt like terrifying and bloody scenes could appear at any moment, scaring him.
He recalled how classmates used to prank him with videos of spooky faces that frightened him easily.
He was timid by nature.
Cowering in Qi Xu’s embrace, he tightly pressed his lips together.
Although he believed ghosts were merely creations of movies and didn’t believe in supernatural spirits, he still felt scared and would indulge in wild imaginations after hearing ghost stories.
Xie Yang dared not look anymore, burying his face in Qi Xu’s chest.
Sensing Xie Yang’s discomfort, Qi Xu turned off the horror movie that was still playing.
He covered Xie Yang’s eyes with his warm palm, pinched his waist gently, turned him around to face himself, and sat him on his lap.
Qi Xu gently stroked his messy hair and softly reassured him, “Don’t be afraid, I’ve turned it off.”
Originally, he just wanted to tease Xie Yang and genuinely show that he had indeed watched a horror movie.
Of course, pretending to be scared and unable to sleep was a lie, just to tease his good boy.
Actually, the short clip shown earlier wasn’t bloody or terrifying at all; it was a typical plot scene, but the sound was a bit frightening.
Xie Yang was quite timid and couldn’t help being scared.
He clung to Qi Xu’s arm, earnestly looking up at him, “Shall we sleep together tonight?”
“Hmm?”
Qi Xu didn’t expect Xie Yang to steal the line he was about to say.
“Is that okay?”
Thinking Qi Xu was hesitating, Xie Yang added, “I’m very obedient.”
Qi Xu’s hand, which had been gently stroking Xie Yang’s nape, paused slightly.
“Xie Yang.”
Qi Xu sighed softly, “Do you know what you’re asking for?”
Xie Yang looked up and kissed his cheek, “Is it not okay?”
Qi Xu picked him up and walked step by step back to the bedroom.
“It’s okay. Anything is okay.”
“Do you want the light on? We can keep it on; it’s fine.”
Xie Yang shook his head, as if summoning his courage, or perhaps expressing his feelings.
“Can you hold me while we sleep?”
