Chapter 364- Pure-Hearted Prince vs. Giant Dragon Boss (03)
However, in the next second, the dragon actually withdrew all of its pressure, gazing at Norris in a calm manner. This friendly gesture left Norris stunned.
He struggled to suppress the intense, pounding feeling in his heart when facing such an absolute powerhouse. Clearing his throat, he said to the dragon, “Sir, please spare my sister!”
He have to say, facing his lover directly like this made Mu Jin feel quite good. Unfortunately, the moment the man spoke, his good mood was quickly ruined.
What does he mean by “spare my sister”?
I have no interest in your sister, okay? My intentions are aimed at you!
However, no matter how much Mu Jin wanted to complain in his mind, he couldn’t just say that to Norris.
Instead, Mu Jin deliberately snorted and said to the man, “Why should I?”
“Give me a reason to spare your sister. From what I know, the songs sung outside say that Princess Bernice is the most noble, pure, and kind person in the human kingdom. So, do you think there’s anyone else besides her who meets my requirements?”
Norris didn’t expect the dragon to make him give a reason for sparing Bernice. Looking at the treasure-filled hall, he wasn’t sure if he had anything better to offer.
The dragon was right; the songs outside did indeed praise Bernice like that. His mother had passed away long ago, so the princess was naturally the most esteemed woman in the kingdom.
The dragon could marry anyone, even if it wasn’t the princess, but who would want to marry a dragon? With his kind-hearted nature, Norris couldn’t shift the responsibility onto someone else. So when faced with Mu Jin’s question, he found himself at a loss.
Mu Jin watched his lover’s difficult expression and secretly chuckled. He had just used magic to change his voice, making it deep and commanding, with a strong pressure.
However, for Mu Jin, seeing Norris’s expression change was already enough. So, he quickly continued, “You can give me your reason now.”
When he spoke again, Mu Jin’s voice suddenly became crisp and pleasant, causing Norris to instinctively look up at the dragon in front of him.
Then, he saw the dragon slowly transform in a silvery light, turning into a young man wearing a luxurious white robe, looking delicate and youthful.
The young man appeared to be no more than seventeen or eighteen years old, with silver hair that flowed elegantly. His silver-white eyelashes accentuated his green eyes, making Norris briefly wonder if he was seeing an elf.
Yet, the star-like scales that appeared behind the young man’s ears revealed that this person was not human but a dragon.
So, this is what it looks like when a dragon transforms into a human?
Norris suddenly felt that the young man in front of him completely shattered his imagination. Didn’t the Lord of the Abyss live for tens of thousands of years? Why did he look even younger than him?
And his cute features, the large cat-like pupils, the small nose, and the upturned lips—all of them were captivating, drawing Norris’s gaze.
So, dragons were actually this beautiful?
Norris was still just a young man, so all the thoughts in his heart were clearly written on his face. He stared blankly at Mu Jin, feeling a dryness in his throat. Even the words he had just barely managed to organize couldn’t come out.
Mu Jin, seeing Norris’s silly expression, couldn’t help but smile. When Norris saw Mu Jin smile, the sweet dimples on his cheeks made his heart skip a beat.
And even though he was already like this, the person in front of him still refused to suppress his charm, smiling at him and asking, “Why aren’t you speaking?”
“I, I…”
In that instant, it felt as if the man had lost the ability to speak. In his eyes, in his heart, there was only the smile in front of him.
He suddenly recalled the ancient stories that said dragons could transform into human form, but usually, they didn’t do so because they looked down on weak humans.
But why would the dragon in front of him transform into a human just for him? Could it be that he was a little special to him?
Norris knew that his current thoughts were impossible, yet his mind still couldn’t stop heading down that path.
He even found himself feeling a bit jealous of his sister. This person was simply perfect, beyond perfect. He was a dragon, so what? Yet, his sister, Bernice, even came to him crying about not wanting to marry him. It was nothing short of blatant boasting!
How could anyone not want to be with someone so sweet and beautiful? How could anyone refuse to marry him? If only the one marrying him was me!
At this point, Norris suddenly jolted in realization. When he recognized what was happening in his heart, his entire face flushed with embarrassment.
What am I thinking? How could I be fantasizing about being with this person in front of me?
Let’s not even mention that this person had his eyes on his sister. Even if the boy in front of him looked soft and adorable, had he not just seen his true form? That was a majestic and terrifying dragon! What on earth was he thinking?
Norris kept warning himself in his heart, but his gaze was still uncontrollably drawn to Mu Jin.
This person was just too good-looking. His eyes were beautiful, his nose was beautiful, his dimples were beautiful, his lips were beautiful—everything about him seemed perfectly tailored to Norris’s taste.
Oh heavens, even his voice was so pleasant!
Norris felt like he had completely fallen for him.
Mu Jin, noticing the way the man across from him was looking at him, immediately knew that his beloved had fallen for him at first sight—again. But seeing the various changes in Norris’s expression, he figured the poor guy’s mind was probably in utter chaos, unsure of what to do.
Mu Jin found it amusing, but he also felt a deep sense of joy at seeing his lover again. It almost felt like they shared a special bond that transcended worlds. How else could his beloved have come straight to him not long after he arrived in this little world?
With that thought, Mu Jin decisively walked up to Norris, smiled warmly, and said, “I’ve decided. I won’t marry the princess.”
Norris couldn’t quite believe what he was hearing. The dragon had just been asking him for reasons to spare the princess. How had he suddenly changed his mind?
So, the dragon wasn’t as cruel and fearsome as he’d imagined. He was actually incredibly kind. Norris had simply pleaded with him, said a few casual words, and the dragon had already agreed to not force his sister into marriage.
But before Norris could fully celebrate, Mu Jin continued, “I agreed because I found someone better than the princess. I’ll send word to the king—the marriage arrangement will remain, but the bride will be swapped for the prince instead.”
Hearing Mu Jin’s words, Norris’s eyes widened in shock. He couldn’t believe what the dragon had just said. Yet, why was his heart brimming with uncontrollable joy?
Mu Jin didn’t give him time to think further. He reached out, pinched Norris’s chin, tilted his head down, and placed a light kiss on his lips. In a soft voice, he said, “I’ve left my mark on you now. You can’t escape.”
Seeing the man frozen in place, Mu Jin leaned close to his ear and murmured suggestively, “My name is Mu Jin. Don’t forget it—it’s a name only my partner is allowed to know.”
“Now that I’ve told you, you can’t back out. Be good and wait for me. Don’t you dare like anyone else. Remember, you belong to me. Only me.”
The commanding and possessive words made Norris’s face flush and his heart race. Although the kiss had been as fleeting as a dragonfly touching water, it was his first kiss.
Norris felt his scalp tingle, an overwhelming wave of emotion surging through his chest, threatening to overflow. But just as he was trying to process everything, he suddenly noticed that magical bubbles were forming around him again, enveloping him. His vision went dark, and he lost consciousness.
When Norris woke up, he found himself lying on the soft, familiar bed in his own bedroom. Everything he thought had happened felt like a dream. Yet the image of the young boy was etched deeply into his mind, impossible to erase.
As Norris lay there feeling disheartened, the door to his bedroom burst open. His guard, Owen, looked at him with an expression of relief and excitement.
“Your Highness, you’re finally back! If you had stayed missing any longer, the King wouldn’t have been able to keep it under wraps. You’ve been gone for two whole days!”
“What?” Norris froze at Owen’s words. Two days? Had it really been that long? Could it be that what he remembered wasn’t just a dream?
But if he had been in the grand hall deep within the abyss, how had he suddenly returned to his bedroom?
