Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 322

Chapter 322- Cultured Villain vs. Humanoid Weapon (27)

Mu Jin remembered that since the first time, the two of them had been on the road, constantly on the move, without having a proper chance to be together.

Realizing Jian Minghui’s intentions, Mu Jin naturally didn’t reject him. Thinking about the supplies stored in his system space, he quickly calmed himself and snapped his fingers. In an instant, the bed was covered with a row of small raincoats in various packaging and colors.

Blushing, Mu Jin picked up a few boxes and waved them in front of Jian Minghui. Despite the shy redness on his face, his eyes betrayed a hint of excitement as he asked, “So… which one do you want?”

Seeing Mu Jin’s expression, Jian Minghui’s heart melted. He reached out with long arms and pulled Mu Jin into his embrace, not caring that the raincoats were scattered everywhere.

With a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, Jian Minghui whispered in Mu Jin’s ear, his voice muffled as he teased, “I want to try them all. What should we do?”

Mu Jin felt a little troubled upon hearing this. With so many options, how could they possibly try them all at once? Before he could say anything, he was pulled into an endless whirlpool

Meanwhile, in a city far from Pingcheng Base, a figure swiftly darted between the buildings.

The person’s clothes were far from pristine, even a bit tattered. However, his face was flawless, with strikingly beautiful features that were almost mesmerizing, and waist-length black hair. His red eyes and sharp claws gave him a terrifying appearance.

His movements were swift, leaping between buildings as if he were walking on solid ground. His sharp fangs were exposed as he gazed into the distance, his expression completely unreadable.

The foul stench permeated the air, and the constant rustling sounds of passing zombies surrounded him. Yet, he remained unfazed. As he moved through different areas, the zombies instinctively avoided him, sensing the overwhelming pressure of his powerful aura.

The gnawing hunger in his empty stomach was a constant presence, but he felt no desire for any food. Occasionally, he would witness zombies tearing apart living creatures. The sweet scent of blood that filled the air might have stirred his primal appetite, but instead, it disgusted him even more. He had no interest in such sustenance.

He had no memory of who he was or where he came from. All he knew was that when he had awakened, he possessed immense power. It felt as though something was guiding him, as if a crucial piece of his life was missing.

Since the day he woke up, he had been searching relentlessly. Yet, despite the passage of time, he had found nothing—no clues, no answers. So, he continued traveling from city to city, hoping to find the missing part that would make him whole.

A voice seemed to whisper to him from within, suggesting that he might find what he was looking for in places where humans gathered. Occasionally, fleeting images would flash through his mind—a tall man standing beside him. That man had a pair of ruby-red eyes, pure and crystalline, their brilliance captivating. Whenever he thought of those eyes, he felt as though his long-dead heart might beat again.

Was the person he was searching for the one from these fragments of memory? Why had they been separated? And where could he be?

No one could answer these questions. The long-haired man stood silently on the rooftop, gazing into the distance. He sniffed the air, trying to catch the faint scent of humans, and set off toward the next city where humans had gathered.

Meanwhile, after Mu Jin and Jian Minghui returned to the Pingcheng Base, they spent the following days organizing the members of their squad. Once their team was finalized, they decided to take a well-deserved rest. After all, they had been on the move constantly since the apocalypse began, and it was time to replenish their strength.

Mu Jin was naturally not someone who enjoyed bustling crowds, so he contentedly stayed at home most of the time. Occasionally, he and Jian Minghui would visit the cafeteria to collect ingredients and then return to their apartment to experiment with cooking.

Members of their squad who were close to them would occasionally drop by to chat and bring some liveliness to their home. For the most part, however, they lived a sweet and harmonious life together, like a couple lost in their own blissful world.

To Jian Minghui, such days felt like paradise. Being with the person he loved, free from worry, was everything he could have dreamed of.

After a period of rest, their squad resumed missions outside the base, gathering supplies and clearing out zombies. But for Jian Minghui, whose abilities had already reached level four and were inching toward level five, these tasks posed little challenge.

At this point, the strongest known zombies had just reached level three, and the most powerful human ability users, like Jian Mingyuan and Lou Bin, were at the peak of level three. Jian Minghui understood well that, aside from Mu Jin, he was now unmatched in strength.

He also knew that his rapid growth in abilities was largely due to Mu Jin’s constant assistance. Using his spiritual consciousness, Mu Jin would enter Jian Minghui’s mind, helping to organize and refine his mental powers. Each time this happened, Jian Minghui could feel his abilities improve further.

Jian Minghui was deeply grateful to Mu Jin and loved him even more for his care and devotion. Seeing how much effort Mu Jin put into helping him, he felt a profound sense of contentment. Life with Mu Jin had somehow become even better than it was before the apocalypse.

If the desolation and horrors of the apocalypse existed solely to bring him together with this man, then, in a blasphemous thought, Jian Minghui even felt a twisted gratitude toward the end of the world. To him, nothing in the world was more important than Mu Jin.

One morning, after quickly preparing breakfast, Jian Minghui skillfully brought the food back to their room. Without hesitation, he scooped up the newly awakened Mu Jin into his arms, gently massaging his waist.

As Mu Jin ate the breakfast placed in front of him, he occasionally turned back to feed Jian Minghui a bite. The smile on Jian Minghui’s face was so bright that he couldn’t hide it even if he tried.

Sometimes, Jian Minghui couldn’t help but feel that Mu Jin’s patience with him was almost too good to be true. When it came to him, Mu Jin was indulgent to the point of being completely accommodating. If, on their journey to the Pingcheng base, Mu Jin had exercised some restraint due to the dangers along the way, now that they were settled, his tolerance for Jian Minghui’s whims seemed to know no bounds.

Jian Minghui often worried that, if he lacked self-control, he might actually harm Mu Jin with his demands. Even when he tried to hold back, the allure of the person in his arms was too much. Simply holding Mu Jin close made it difficult to resist stealing a kiss or two.

Last night had been especially indulgent, and as a result, Mu Jin appeared a little drained this morning. Seeing him like this, Jian Minghui felt a mix of pride and guilt. Thankfully, in the interest of ensuring his beloved’s comfort, Jian Minghui had mastered the art of massage, which somewhat eased his conscience.

Just as they finished their breakfast, a knock came at the door.

Jian Minghui set the tray aside on a small table and leaned down to plant a kiss on Mu Jin’s forehead before heading to answer the door. Standing outside was a messenger from the base, requesting that all squad leaders attend a meeting.

Within the base, those with significant power had all formed their own squads. Naturally, Mu Jin and Jian Minghui’s squad was among the most formidable, with the two of them serving as captain and vice-captain, respectively.

Initially, the squad members, particularly those who were already part of the Pingcheng base, had hoped Mu Jin would take on the role of captain. However, Mu Jin, being naturally lazy and inclined to defer responsibilities, left the position to Jian Minghui with little argument. Using a mix of playful charm and willful stubbornness, he insisted Jian Minghui take charge.

Jian Minghui, of course, couldn’t refuse Mu Jin’s request. With Mu Jin’s gentle coaxing, he would have gladly plucked stars from the sky if asked.

At first, some members of the squad from the Pingcheng base were dissatisfied with Jian Minghui’s leadership, feeling he hadn’t yet earned the role. Sensing this unrest, Mu Jin decided to stop holding back and subtly encouraged Jian Minghui to demonstrate his strength.

When Jian Minghui unleashed the full extent of his peak level-four mental abilities, any dissent quickly dissolved. Those who had entertained thoughts of challenging him soon realized that their abilities were completely nullified in his presence. In one-on-one combat, Jian Minghui was also an exceptional fighter.

Even opponents with high physical combat skills couldn’t escape unscathed; a single mental attack from Jian Minghui left them clutching their heads in pain, unable to continue. After being thoroughly defeated, the squad members who initially doubted him had no choice but to admit their inferiority and fully submit to his leadership.
