Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 31

Chapter 31 – Autistic Young Master VS Ruthless Boss (6)

In the past, Leng Xiao always struggled to restrain his inner violent emotions. Therefore, he frequently took on missions, as if he could only find his belonging amidst gunfire and battles.

He never cared about the danger level of the missions. In the eyes of others, he seemed like a madman, apparently unafraid of life and death.

In reality, for him, living never held much meaning. Even if he were to die in a mission one day, he wouldn’t feel any regret.

After all, he had no family or anything in this world to cling to.

Living, for Leng Xiao, never seemed like a beautiful thing until he met the person by his side.

Over the years, he had become accustomed to the filth and darkness, facing the dirty side of human nature.

Suddenly encountering a young man named Mu Jin, he finally realized that there could still be such pure and beautiful existence in the world, making him not want the other person to truly experience this world.

This angel left in the mortal realm, perhaps as long as it remained a paradise in his heart.

In an instant, he developed an impulse to protect this pure and beautiful thing.

The person in front of him seemed to possess a magical charm that calmed his inner self.

Even though the young man confined himself to a small world due to autism, Leng Xiao could still sense that the youth loved life.

At least, he was living well in his own little world.

The sunlight bathed Mu Jin, and Leng Xiao, in a daze, felt as if he saw a halo around him.

Like a delicate flower blooming beside him, the man unconsciously reached out, wanting to touch the bud next to him.

A different emotion arose in his heart, but accidentally, he got his finger scratched by a thorn.

A small cut appeared on his index finger, but Leng Xiao didn’t mind the wound.

However, he noticed that Mu Jin, his own man, was aware of it and hurriedly ran over, a bit nervous. Seeing the blood on his finger, Mu Jin quickly took the injured finger and put it into his mouth.

The soft touch made Leng Xiao feel a sudden rush, and he couldn’t articulate his feelings.

He just felt his whole body boiling, and luckily, the other person let go quickly, or he might have really lost control.

Looking at the clear eyes of the young man in front of him, the man felt inexplicably frustrated.

Knowing that the other person meant well, he could only sigh and ruffle Mu Jin’s soft hair, softly saying, “I’m fine. Just a small injury.”

The young man on the other side blinked and handed him the water bottle.

Leng Xiao accepted it gracefully and continued watering the flowers for Mu Jin. However, the electrifying feeling from a moment ago lingered in his mind.

His gaze gradually deepened, and the man unconsciously glanced at Mu Jin beside him, feeling somewhat reluctant.

Did this little guy know how likable and charming he was? If he encountered someone with ill intentions, being so defenseless might lead to serious consequences.

Feeling the warm gaze from his lover, Mu Jin lowered his head and smiled slyly.

His actions just now were intentional, but he felt completely justified. After all, his unique constitution made his saliva, blood, and other bodily fluids have healing properties.

Compared to band-aids, a wound healed better with a lick from himself.

Not ignoring the man’s momentary stiffness, Mu Jin’s eyes flashed with cunning. He quietly sat on the garden bench and started reading a book, portraying the role of an obedient baby.

Time passed quickly, and the sunlight was unusually warm. Mu Jin enjoyed the serene atmosphere, holding a book in his hands, unknowingly getting a bit drowsy.

So, when Leng Xiao snapped back to reality, he saw Mu Jin leaning against the bench, an open book on his lap, already asleep.

The gentle breeze lifted the soft strands of Mu Jin’s hair, and everything in front of him appeared tranquil and beautiful.

Unconsciously, the man put down the water bottle in his hand, walked to Mu Jin’s side, and gently touched his cheek. His gaze became even more tender.

Leng Xiao covered Mu Jin with a nearby blanket, feeling that the outside wind was a bit chilly. He decided to carefully pick up Mu Jin, carrying him back into the house.

As the already sleeping Mu Jin felt the familiar breath and warmth, he relaxed even more in his lover’s arms, subconsciously snuggling against the man’s chest.

Seeing the little guy in his arms depending on him, the man felt a sense of satisfaction. Carefully tucking Mu Jin in, he couldn’t help but think that the sleeping little guy looked exceptionally well-behaved.

It was already late, and initially, he intended to leave after taking care of his injuries last night. However, looking at the sleeping Mu Jin, Leng Xiao hesitated for a moment before heading towards the kitchen.

The little guy was indeed too frail. When he held him just now, he felt weightless, as if there was no substance at all.

Last night, he heard from the other person’s sister that since Mu Jin got autism, he became very cautious and never ate food made by others.

However, I experienced Mu Yaqin’s cooking yesterday, and I must say, I can’t compliment it.

Could it be the reason why the little guy’s appetite has always been poor? No wonder he still looks so thin despite being an adult.

Unconsciously caring for the other person, like an instinct imprinted in his bones, the man had no intention of resisting.

There were many ingredients in the kitchen. Ling Xiao’s culinary skills were not exceptional, but compared to Mu Yaqin, they were undoubtedly much better. As a man who had been single for over thirty years, he could still manage simple meals.

Seeing that it was almost noon, Leng Xiao quickly stir-fried a few dishes, but he wasn’t sure if the little guy would eat.

After serving the dishes, he thought of calling Mu Jin from his room. However, as he turned around, a head popped out from the stairs upstairs. A pair of watery eyes belonging to the little cat-boy stared at him with curiosity.

Seeing this, a smile flickered in the man’s eyes, and he waved to Mu Jin. The latter didn’t hesitate and walked down towards him.

Seeing the dishes on the table, the little guy’s eyes clearly lit up.

Leng Xiao pulled out a chair and said softly, “Sit down quickly; I’ll serve you the meal.”

Steaming rice was placed in front of Mu Jin – four dishes and a soup, all very homey. The portions weren’t large, but they looked delicious.

God knows how happy Mu Jin was to see these dishes; he was genuinely moved to tears. After all, Mu Yaqin’s cooking was hellish.

In his previous life, Mo Yi occasionally cooked, and although Mu Jin thought Mo Yi’s culinary skills were good and tried them multiple times, his own skills couldn’t compare to his lover’s.

In their later years, as his lover’s health declined, Mu Jin couldn’t bear to let him cook. Thinking about it, he hadn’t tasted such a meal for many years.

Impatiently picking up the chopsticks, he took a bite of the warm rice and then scooped up some stir-fried bamboo shoots. It indeed had the taste from his past life.

Suppressing the tears in his eyes, he took another bite of the spicy and appetizing fried pork. It brought back memories; he used to love having this dish with a drink.

Upon closer inspection, all the dishes on the table were ones he liked.

Mu Jin’s heart instantly softened. It turned out that even though his lover lost his memory, his care for him remained deeply ingrained.

How could he bear to let go of such a person!

Lowering his head, not letting the man beside him see his unusual emotions, Mu Jin ate the food on the table. Sitting face-to-face with the person he deeply loved was a great happiness.

Unaware that the few dishes had already moved Mu Jin to tears, Leng Xiao watched as the little guy enjoyed the meal and felt a strong urge himself.

After taking a few bites of his own cooking, he realized that his culinary skills were indeed not bad today.

He also noticed that Mu Jin ate with a regular pattern. He must take a bite of rice first, then pick up a bit of each dish before considering the meal finished. Moreover, the order of picking up dishes never varied.

Although quiet, the man could feel that the little guy seemed very satisfied with his cooking.

In no time, the two of them emptied the table.

However, as Mu Jin swallowed the last spoonful of soup, the sound of the door opening suddenly came from outside.

“Xiao Jin, sister is back!” Sure enough, the visitor was Mu Yaqin. Every noon, she rushed home to prepare lunch for her brother, regardless of how busy she was.

But today, when Mu Yaqin entered the room, she found empty bowls and plates on the table. Mu Jin was sitting at the table, holding an empty soup bowl, seemingly having finished lunch.

Seeing this, the woman was very surprised and looked at Leng Xiao on the side. Because after their parents passed away, this was the first time Mu Jin accepted food made by someone else.

Quickly walking over, she touched Mu Jin’s round belly, unable to contain her excitement.

Looking at Leng Xiao on the side, she asked eagerly, “Did you make today’s lunch?!”

Leng Xiao nodded at her words, thinking, indeed he did. But he only made enough for him and Mu Jin, not considering Mu Yaqin.

Seeing Mu Jin eating contentedly and thinking about how his brother’s appetite was improving, Mu Yaqin couldn’t help but look at Leng Xiao with newfound appreciation.

After a brief consideration, she spoke to the man in a negotiating tone, “Your culinary skills must be excellent. Xiao Jin hasn’t had such a good appetite in a long time. Excuse me for asking, where did you work before?”

Leng Xiao didn’t understand why Mu Yaqin suddenly asked such a question, so he casually replied, “Just a regular bodyguard.”

Little did he know that the woman across from him immediately showed an excited expression and said to him, “That’s great! I don’t know if you’re interested in staying here to work, taking care of and personally protecting Xiao Jin. Salary can be discussed!”
