Tyrant Meets Paranoid [Quick Transmigration] – Chapter 307

Chapter 307- Cultured Villain vs. Humanoid Weapon (12)

Both in his heart and body, Jian Minghui felt a searing heat, unfamiliar and overwhelming, as if it were scorching his very soul. And the only way to quell this fire was the person in his arms.

Pressed firmly against the wall, Mu Jin widened his eyes, staring at the fierce, almost predatory gaze of the man kissing him with such intensity. For a moment, he was too stunned to react. But as he gathered his thoughts, a small hum escaped him, and he found himself captivated by this powerful side of Jian Minghui.

Mu Jin wrapped his arms around his lover’s neck, responding happily. The two of them became entirely lost in the kiss, barely able to separate. Fortunately, Jian Minghui wasn’t yet skilled in using his psychic abilities, so he quickly exhausted his power, and a sense of clarity finally returned to him.

As he regained his senses, Jian Minghui noticed that he was still holding Mu Jin tightly against him, and his whole body tensed. He couldn’t understand how things had escalated so quickly. Although he had acted instinctively, he knew very well who was in his arms. He’d simply been unable to resist the urge to taste that sweetness, letting himself fall entirely into it.

Jian Minghui’s heart filled with anxiety as he wondered how Mu Jin would react. His lover had only wanted to help awaken his psychic ability, but instead, he had been seized, held tightly, and kissed so intensely. Anyone else would likely be indignant and embarrassed.

Unaware of Jian Minghui’s turmoil, Mu Jin, now released, took the chance to catch his breath. Pressing his lips together, he thought, even without a mirror, that his lips must be swollen by now. Yet, he couldn’t deny that the passionate kiss had been thoroughly satisfying.

Jian Minghui lowered his gaze, cautiously studying Mu Jin’s expression, fearful of finding even a trace of displeasure. Instead, he saw Mu Jin’s flushed cheeks, and his slightly misty, half-lidded eyes that stirred something deep within him.

Mu Jin remained still, leaning gently into Jian Minghui’s arms.

Noticing that Jian Minghui hadn’t made any further moves even after some time, Mu Jin looked up, a bit puzzled. Seeing Jian Minghui’s uneasy gaze fixed on him, Mu Jin couldn’t help but let out a soft laugh.

Jian Minghui had imagined countless reactions Mu Jin might have, but he certainly hadn’t expected him to laugh. Stunned, he swallowed nervously and asked tentatively, “Xiao Jin, are you not angry?”

Mu Jin blinked at him, then gave a sweet smile. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around Jian Minghui’s neck, bringing their lips together.

After planting several firm kisses on the corners of Jian Minghui’s mouth, Mu Jin looked at him in confusion and asked, “Why would I be angry? I like it when you’re like this with me. Or… don’t you like it?”

“No, no! I like it!” Jian Minghui’s heart soared with joy at Mu Jin’s response. He held him even tighter, unwilling to let go.

When they’d first met, Jian Minghui had thought Mu Jin had a reserved nature. Around others, he seemed quiet and withdrawn, only breaking into a smile and speaking more when he was with Jian Minghui, showing a side that no one else saw.

But he hadn’t expected that the warm expressions he’d glimpsed were only the beginning. The person in his arms could laugh so sweetly, taste so wonderful—how could he possibly resist?

Jian Minghui’s heart swelled with satisfaction, and Mu Jin’s confession made him feel as though he were floating on air. In the prime of his youth, experiencing his first real love, it was easy to be impulsive. He leaned in to kiss Mu Jin again, unable to resist.

This time, however, he was noticeably gentler, beginning with soft kisses and slowly deepening them, diligently practicing his kissing skills. He focused on the sensations, savoring the taste of the one in his arms, reveling in this closeness that was his alone.

Today, Jian Minghui felt he must be incredibly lucky. He could sense his psychic powers awakening—though still in their early stages, they marked him as a power-wielder, no longer as vulnerable as an ordinary person.

He believed that with continued effort, his abilities would only grow stronger.

Now that the apocalypse has arrived, all the old rules and traditions are no longer relevant. The notion of “a suitable match” or even same-sex relationships has ceased to be an issue. After all, no one knows how long anyone can survive in these times, so most people have chosen to let go of such concerns.

Realizing his feelings for Mu Jin, Jian Minghui had quickly set his sights on him. In fact, if Mu Jin were an ordinary person, Jian Minghui wouldn’t have hesitated to pursue him outright.

Unfortunately, Mu Jin’s strength was intimidating; he was completely beyond Jian Minghui’s control. He worried that if he revealed his feelings and Mu Jin didn’t reciprocate—or worse, if it caused Mu Jin to resent him—he might lose the chance to be near him entirely.

So, Jian Minghui had been careful, cautiously testing the waters to understand Mu Jin’s feelings. Now, knowing his love was mutual and that Mu Jin allowed himself to be held and kissed, there was no way Jian Minghui would let such a precious moment slip by.

How perfect—to know that the one he loved also loved him. This incredible person would be his from now on!

They held each other tightly, making the cool night seem warm. Foreheads touching, Jian Minghui smiled as he closed his eyes, occasionally leaning in for gentle, playful kisses, one after another. Eventually, not feeling satisfied with just a few kisses, he pulled Mu Jin completely into his arms, indulging in their closeness. Mu Jin’s soft compliance made his heart melt.

Though Mu Jin thoroughly enjoyed the warmth of his lover’s embrace, he knew that the long night stretched ahead, and they couldn’t simply stay in this affectionate state indefinitely.

After a while, Mu Jin began explaining some techniques for training psychic abilities, guiding Jian Minghui by connecting his consciousness to Jian’s mind, carefully leading him.

Of course, this time, he warned Jian Minghui to stay in control and not let their minds entwine again—otherwise, if they got carried away, they’d risk “sparking fireworks” right there in the cold night.

Jian Minghui understood Mu Jin’s point. Even in the apocalypse, he didn’t want to get intimate in such a rough setting with the one he cherished. So, no matter how tempting it felt, he managed to restrain himself.

He wanted their first time to be a memorable experience for Mu Jin and couldn’t help thinking about the box of raincoats he had stashed in his pocket. It was indeed fortunate that Mu Jin had stored everything from that shop into his space; he had been incredibly wise.

The two continued chatting intimately, the sweetness between them undisturbed even by their psychic training. What would usually have been a burdensome night watch had instead turned into their private, tender date.

The next morning, although neither of them had slept the whole night, both felt refreshed due to their high spirits. When their replacements arrived, they headed back to the house for breakfast.

The team would be resting for another day and wouldn’t be leaving until tomorrow morning. After breakfast, Jian Minghui and Mu Jin returned to their room. Jian Minghui dug through his stash and pulled out a large mixed-fruit jelly to give to Mu Jin.

Mu Jin happily opened it, took a bite of the peach piece inside, and closed his eyes with contentment. Then, he turned to give Jian a big kiss on the lips.

Getting a kiss in exchange for snacks made Jian Minghui feel delighted, as if he’d struck a great deal. However, he realized this was the last sweet treat in his supplies and felt a bit troubled. Gently patting Mu Jin’s soft hair, he said warmly, “This is the last one. When we find more supplies, I’ll get you more snacks and sweets you like.”

Mu Jin nodded, and seeing that no one else was around, he nestled comfortably in Jian Minghui’s arms. Together, they shared the fruit jelly, taking turns feeding each other spoonfuls.

As for the stash of snacks and sweets he had in his own space—well, that didn’t matter. The treats his lover brought him definitely tasted better than the ones he’d stored away himself!

Looking forward to a full day of rest, Mu Jin encouraged Jian Minghui to practice using his psychic powers in the room.

While the incident of their minds entwining last night had been unexpected, it turned out to be quite beneficial for Jian Minghui. Like a form of spiritual dual cultivation, being assisted by Mu Jin’s powerful mental energy had rapidly boosted his own. As a result, Jian Minghui had already advanced to level two in his powers overnight, and with continued effort, he could soon reach level three, as the thresholds for lower levels were relatively easy to pass. After level four, however, progress would become more challenging.

Watching Jian Minghui close his eyes and focus on refining his psychic abilities, Mu Jin suddenly remembered something and quietly slipped out of the room.

He recalled a part of the original storyline mentioning certain mutated plants that could aid in the cultivation of powers. One of these plants was supposedly located not far from where they were.

Extending his senses, Mu Jin indeed detected some activity in the northwest. Deciding it was worth checking out, he set off to investigate these mutated plants and to understand how they could enhance abilities in the powers-users.
