But of course, there are always a few extremists who vowed to wipe out every last vampire. So, as soon as Wallis spotted the stuff on the ground, he instantly knew it had to be the work of these vampire hunters—they’d set their sights on Huangfu Jian.

“Did he awaken his vampire bloodline so soon?” Mu Jin furrowed his brow upon hearing Wallis describe the situation with Huangfu Jian, but there was no trace of surprise on his face. This eased Wallis’s mind, as it seemed his master had long known about Huangfu Jian’s uniqueness.
Mu Jin indeed knew that Huangfu Jian’s blood would awaken eventually, but he hadn’t expected it to happen so quickly. Not only had it occurred much earlier than in the original storyline, but according to Wallis, it had involved vampire hunters this time.
In the original plot, Huangfu Jian was able to awaken his bloodline simply because he encountered a group of ordinary robbers. At that time, the male protagonist was under life-threatening circumstances, which triggered the awakening of his vampire bloodline. But now, why had vampire hunters gotten involved?
