Top Stream Business – Chapter 67 Part 2

After posting on Weibo, just as he was about to close the app, Qiao Huaiyao noticed something in the notifications: 99.

Qiao Huaiyao: “…?!”

In that moment, even Qiao Huaiyao felt a bit flustered.

Opening the Weibo post, he found that there were already hundreds of comments in the comment section.

Qiao Huaiyao pursed his lips slightly. Was it too late to delete it now?

It was just a bouquet of flowers, nothing serious if he had posted it. But deleting it immediately might cause more trouble.

After some hesitation, Qiao Huaiyao decided not to delete the Weibo post.

Previously, while promoting Director Zhao Jiemo’s variety show, he had logged into his main Weibo account and forgot to switch back to his anonymous one for tasks.

Qiao Huaiyao sighed softly. It seemed he needed two Weibo accounts next time, logging into two phones to reduce the chances of such mistakes.

Opening the comment section, he found the contents relatively normal.

“The flowers are so beautiful! White baby’s breath with red roses, surprisingly not tacky at all! Looks so classy.”

“These flowers were used when I proposed to my wife.”

“Bai Jinyin talks on his main account, but proposing sneakily on a secondary account?!”

“A beautiful day starting with seeing Qiao Qiao’s beautiful flowers.”

“@Bai Jinyin, someone sent roses to Qiao Qiao, aren’t you going to say something?”

“Sis, you’re bold to directly @ him, haven’t you considered it might be Bai-ge sending flowers to Qiao Qiao?”

Seeing these comments, Qiao Huaiyao secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He then messaged Bai Jinyin, sending him the photo of the roses and a pitiful expression emoji with cat ears.

Bai Jinyin also noticed the Weibo post.

Connecting it with the messages Qiao Huaiyao sent him, he quickly figured out what had happened.

Presumably, Qiao Huaiyao had logged into the wrong account.

Bai Jinyin comforted him: [It’s okay, Weibo itself is a platform for speaking out. You can post anything. It’s okay if it’s seen.]

He sent several head-pat emojis in succession, then opened Weibo and made a post himself.

He also forwarded this post to Qiao Huaiyao.

Bai Jinyin: [Okay, it’s fine now. Let’s continue eating. Tiger pat.jpg]

Qiao Huaiyao curiously clicked on this Weibo post…

Bai Jinyin’s post was as simple as his own, featuring a picture and a short video. Bai Jinyin’s post showed the miniature landscape ball with a video of a meteor shower falling.

Qiao Huaiyao raised an eyebrow. When did his brother take this photo and video?

Why did he have no memory of it at all?

The discussion on Weibo about the bouquet of flowers had all turned towards Bai Jinyin.

Worried that someone might have missed it, there were even comments on Qiao Huaiyao’s post urging people to check Bai Jinyin’s Weibo: [Quick, go to Bai Jinyin’s Weibo! Don’t miss out!]

Under the combined effort of fans, this comment was pinned as a top comment.

Thus, the comment sections on both posts successfully linked together.

[Here we have roses with baby’s breath, and over there, a starry sky rain with rose petals? Wow, are you two announcing something?]

[Roses and meteor showers again. Just say it, are you planning to go public today?]

[Where can I buy that starry sky ball? Can’t find the same model online, and why do the meteors really seem to move? Feels like it’s handheld, no need for electricity?]

Among thousands of comments, Bai Jinyan only replied to one: [@Qiao Huaiyao, made by him.]

Fans: [???]

[Do we really need to emphasize ‘made by him’ so much?!]

[Bai Jinyan, put away your show-off face!]

[Just when I hadn’t figured out the paper roses from before, now there’s a starry sky ball too. Looks like my boyfriend is in deep trouble today.]

[Help—aren’t science students supposed to be dull? Why does Qiao Qiao always manage to create such beautiful and romantic things!]

[It’s my first time shipping a couple, but I can’t keep up with the speed of their sweetness. Sob, sob, can all other couples please learn from ‘Yao Yan’?]

[I admit, I’m a bit jealous of Bai Jinyan.]

[So, Qiao Qiao made this starry sky rain with a chemistry experiment? I swear, someone please give me a tutorial!]

[You dare to ask! Sister, have some awareness of your own handcraft skills!]

The paper roses seem much simpler compared to this starry sky ball; even with a tutorial, many people still can’t make it.

The starry sky ball looks very challenging, so there are fewer people asking for the method now.

Qiao Huaiyao relaxed seeing that the comments section was not off track, closed Weibo, and didn’t look further.

After breakfast, when he went out to class.

Looking at the roses surrounded by stars and thinking for a while, Qiao Huaiyao put the bouquet next to the starry sky ball.

They seemed different but extremely similar.

Together, they complemented each other, and the meteor shower of the starry sky ball at this moment seemed particularly dazzling—

Following the usual time, Qiao Huaiyao walked into the classroom, only to find that there were more people today than usual.

And… it was unusually quiet.

He couldn’t help but wonder if his phone’s time was wrong, causing him to be late.

Qiao Huaiyao subconsciously looked at the podium, but there was no teacher.

He walked in with suspicion, and Qiu Shufeng in the front row immediately stood up and Wang Zhan pulled out a banner on the left and right.

All the students in the classroom said together, “Congratulations to the Study God for successfully applying for the laboratory!”

“Bang!”

Bang!

He held the fireworks tube in his hand and fired several shots in a row, just to create an atmosphere, not aiming at Qiao Huaiyao.

Yu Luofan was in the front row, and he didn’t need the banner to come over.

Colorful pieces of paper were flying, and the excitement was extraordinary.

Qiao Huaiyao was stunned for a moment, softly saying, “Thank you.”

Qiu Shufeng smiled and said, “You’re too amazing, Study God. It’s only been a few days since you applied for the laboratory. The counselor sent a message in the group early this morning saying you got approved. I thought I was dreaming when I saw your name this morning, but then I realized.”

Whoever told him that applying for the laboratory in three days would make Qiu Shufeng think the other party was bragging, would just smile slightly and not take it to heart.

But if it was Qiao Huaiyao, it was definitely taken for granted.

Wang Zhan couldn’t help but say, “We’ve been getting along for so long, and you’re just now finding out how amazing the Study God is? I’ve known for a long time, you know? Study God, I can help you clean up, the newly arrived laboratory definitely needs to be set up, and I’m strong!”

Qiu Shufeng snorted lightly and said, “You and your little arms and legs, forget it. Even handling the laboratory this small matter, let me do it.”

They were still bickering when the teacher of this class walked in.

“What are you all doing here?” Seeing the floor covered with ribbons, the teacher frowned, “Quite a crowd has gathered here, not studying, but having a party? This is a classroom, look at the mess you’ve made.”

Seeing this, Qiao Huaiyao took the broom from the corner and started sweeping.

Qiu Shufeng quickly rolled up the banner and smiled awkwardly, “Sorry, teacher, it’s just that… um, our classmate Qiao Huaiyao successfully applied for the lab, so everyone wanted to celebrate together.”

With so many people, accommodating everyone’s tastes and dietary restrictions would be impossible at a restaurant. Celebrating briefly before class, when the teacher hadn’t arrived yet, seemed more feasible.

Qiu Shufeng knew the teacher for this class was usually late. To avoid any mistakes, he had even asked the previous year’s students, confirming that the teacher had gotten into the habit of arriving at this time since the last academic year.

This way, they could clean up the classroom before the teacher arrived.

But now…

Whether the intel was wrong or it was just sheer bad luck, the teacher arrived early today.

Qiu Shufeng sighed softly to himself and went out to help Qiao Huaiyao clean up.

The teacher paused at this, “Celebrate… Ah, right! Qiao Huaiyao is in your class.”

Pushing his glasses up, he continued, “Good relationships among classmates are what we expect. Celebrating a successful application after only three days is something to celebrate. Next time something like this happens, remember to invite me along.”

“It’s still early for class, no rush to clean up.” The teacher put down his book, addressing Qiao Huaiyao with a smile, “You guys go ahead, tidy up one minute before class starts, don’t delay.”

As he passed by Qiao Huaiyao, the teacher reached out and patted his shoulder, “You have a promising future ahead of you.”

With that, the teacher cheerfully walked out with his teacup, leaving the large classroom to the students.

Qiao Huaiyao had just swept a corner when Qiu Shufeng took the broom from him, saying, “Let me, let me, Study God, you sit.”

Qiao Huaiyao thought for a moment before saying, “Thanks for getting up early, everyone. Let me treat you all to a movie.”

Everyone had different daily routines and biological clocks, and there was still some time before class today, so the classroom was filled with people.

Qiu Shufeng wanted to decline, “There’s no need…”

When he mentioned celebrating earlier, he didn’t insist. He made it clear that those who wanted to come could, and those who didn’t want to come didn’t have to.

Everyone was simply happy to help Qiao Huaiyao celebrate, and there was no need for Qiao Huaiyao to spend more.

Putting his book on the desk, Qiao Huaiyao said, “Let’s watch my brother’s latest film.”

He had watched Bai Jinyan’s previous movie, and the latest one has been released in major theaters, so it’s a good time to support him.

Qiu Shufeng raised an eyebrow and smiled, “Alright, I’ll check with everyone when they’re available.”

Qiao Huaiyao added, “If you don’t want to go, or if you want to watch another movie, let me know. We can switch or refund.”

“Okay.” As the class monitor, Qiu Shufeng had a special form for this purpose, making data collection straightforward.

Wang Zhan raised his hand and nudged Qiu Shufeng with his elbow, “I’ll help you organize, count me in for the credit.”

“Get lost!” Qiu Shufeng nearly grabbed the broom to chase after him. “I can handle this small matter myself. I’ll finish in an hour. You, go sweep the floor.”

There was only stuff on the front row, and nothing in the back.

Cleaning up was easy with a few people working together, and they finished in a few minutes.

When the teacher returned, all the students in the classroom were sitting quietly at their desks.

The teacher looked surprised, “Oh wow, not bad. I was planning to ask some questions during class.”

“It’s clear everyone’s in a good mood today. To avoid crying when you leave after the next class, we’ll postpone the questioning to the next lesson. Study well at home. There won’t be another chance next time. Let’s continue with today’s lesson.”

The teacher hadn’t assigned homework for the previous class.
