Top Stream Business – Chapter 48 Part 3

Bai Jinyan opened the center console, and as it opened, Lu Lu immediately turned to the front passenger seat and stared straight ahead. Qiao Huaiyao pursed his lips, momentarily stunned as the console dropped. Then his cheeks warmed.

Bai Jinyan drew him closer, embracing him and kissing the corner of his mouth. “What are you thinking?” he asked.

No matter how many times they had kissed, the sudden closeness of Bai Jinyan always made Qiao Huaiyao feel a warmth on his face. He replied, “Thinking about when we were kids.”

“Me?”

“Yeah.” Qiao Huaiyao turned his head and leaned against Bai Jinyan’s shoulder. “How did you persuade Aunt Meng to allow me to go to school?”

Considering Aunt Meng’s attitude, it was almost impossible. The school Qiao Huaiyao attended was not considered top-notch, just conveniently close to home. Bai Jinyan hugged him, nonchalantly planting a kiss on Qiao Huaiyao’s lips. “With a Best Actor trophy.”

Qiao Huaiyao looked surprised. However, Bai Jinyan looked serious and was not joking. Realization dawned on Qiao Huaiyao. “No wonder there was such a tight schedule before the college entrance exams…”

Bai Jinyan acted in a movie and even managed to get into a prestigious school. Perhaps this has exceeded Aunt Meng’s expectations. Aunt Meng always thought of perfection, but Bai Jinyan would always show with his actions that he could be even more perfect.

However, Bai Jinyan didn’t care about what happened before and didn’t want to review things that were already done.

Seeing Qiao Huaiyao lost in thought, he couldn’t help but embrace and give a gentle kiss.

Qiao Huaiyao, unable to calm down, said, “Brother…”

Bai Jinyan raised his hand and placed it on his shoulder, looking at Qiao Huaiyao’s ears, which were already blushing, lightly touching the earlobe with his fingertips, “Don’t like it?”

Qiao Huaiyao hesitated for a moment, blushing and not answering.

Bai Jinyan chuckled and said, “How about another kiss?”

“Just for the sake of being fair,” Bai Jinyan suggested with a smile, “after I kiss you, you can kiss me back.”

Qiao Huaiyao raised an eyebrow, glanced at him, and then leaned forward, kissing him on the lips.

While Bai Jinyan was momentarily stunned, Qiao Huaiyao said playfully, “The rest is up to you.” Then he kissed him again.

Qiao Huaiyao was still smiling, not noticing the slight change in Bai Jinyan’s eyes.

Only hearing Bai Jinyan ask in a deep voice, “Is there a limit?”

“What?” Qiao Huaiyao didn’t understand for a moment and instinctively asked.

When he noticed something, Qiao Huaiyao immediately straightened up to move back, “Wait, wait a moment…”

However, Bai Jinyan seemed to have noticed his reaction a step ahead and slid his hand down from his shoulder to hold his waist.

Qiao Huaiyao suddenly widened his eyes, “Brother, uh… hmm!”—

The partition in the service car created a silent zone between the front and back seats, effectively muting the front. Occasionally, there were quiet sobs, but they were quickly drowned out by the engine noise.

It wasn’t until the car stopped at the restaurant’s entrance that Qiao Huaiyao had a chance to catch his breath. His face was flushed as he leaned against Bai Jinyan, and there was still a layer of moisture in his eyes. His blue coat was wrinkled and discarded to the side, and his open shirt collar couldn’t hide the marks on his collarbone.

Qiao Huaiyao pursed his lips, and the stinging sensation made him take a sharp breath.

Bai Jinyan helped him fasten the collar button.

There was no mirror, so Qiao Huaiyao asked, “Is it covered where I bit?”

Qiao Huaiyao’s coat fell to the ground, and Bai Jinyan unbuttoned his own coat and draped it over him, saying, “That’s not a bite; the one last time was.”

Qiao Huaiyao hesitated at the fingertips resting on his collarbone beneath the shirt, “When did I…?”

His brother was probably teasing him again.

Lu Lu stood by the car door and, seeing the back door open, reached out to open it.

Bai Jinyan got out and held his hand at the edge of the car door, waiting for Qiao Huaiyao to come out.

Bai Jinyan held his hand as they walked into the elevator and casually explained, “During the sleepover at the dorm, when you asked me, I said you were a good sleeper.”

Qiao Huaiyao also remembered which time it was.

He vaguely remembered it, unsure if it was a dream, so he went to ask his brother.

The answer he got at the time made him think it was just a dream.

Qiao Huaiyao asked, “Then why did you say I was a good sleeper?”

“Well, I was holding you while you slept.” Bai Jinyan said with a smile, “You were indeed very quiet.” Qiao Huaiyao bit his lips and didn’t know what to say.

Seeing Qiao Huaiyao’s face still blushing and the signs of recovery behind his ears, Bai Jinyan didn’t tease him anymore.

The restaurant Bai Jinyan chose was one where he usually chose the dishes while making reservations.

Then, he would pick the ingredients based on the dishes. Without needing to check the menu in the back seat, the waiter started serving.

Bai Jinyan served a bowl of soup for him.

Qiao Huaiyao didn’t have a big appetite; he drank more beverages and soup during the meal.

“Brother, have the scripts you looked at before been confirmed?” Qiao Huaiyao, drinking soup, inadvertently thought of the double Best Actor’s attitude toward actors.

The increased options were mostly leading roles and serious dramas.

It seemed… Bai Jinyan had this attitude even before becoming a double Best Actor.

“Both are just average, I declined them.” Bai Jinyan picked food for him, and before a script that would really impress him appeared, he decided to focus on his ongoing suspense drama.

Qiao Huaiyao nodded.

He wasn’t very hungry, and by the time he said a few words, the small bowl in front of him was already filled.

After some thought, he took a photo from this angle and posted it.

Just as he was about to take the second photo, Bai Jinyan placed the peeled shrimp back into the small bowl.

Qiao Huaiyao hurriedly said, “That’s enough, brother, I can’t finish it.”

He finished taking the two photos and posted them on Weibo.

Qiao Huaiyao’s Weibo: [Good evening.]

He uploaded two photos from the same angle, one capturing the dishes in the background, and the other focusing on the small bowl.

With a quick refresh, the number of comments shot up to hundreds.

[Good evening, Qiao Qiao!]

[Saw my wife in the livestream, the light blue shirt looks amazing!]

[Am I the only one who noticed this bowl of food? It looks so delicious, let’s find a similar one!]

[Damn! A four-digit per person bill, not searching anymore.]

[Emmm… is the person sitting across from Qiao Qiao Bai Jinyan?]

[Hiss, is this the so-called boyfriend’s perspective?]

[The first bowl didn’t have shrimp, but you can see Bai Jinyan across from him peeling shrimp. In the second small bowl, there’s shrimp. Friends, what does this mean?!]

[It means the peeled shrimp can fly.]
