Qiao Huaiyao’s face visibly turned red. But most importantly, those things he did while drunk were already beyond normal, and, and that sentence! The four words ‘I miss you’ kept haunting his mind. Qiao Huaiyao closed his eyes, gnawing at his lower lip in frustration. He shouldn’t have drunk that lemon water!

Qiao Huaiyao pulled the blanket over his head, trying to deceive himself by thinking that Bai Jinyan probably thought he was just drunk and wouldn’t take his words seriously. He didn’t know why he said that sentence. Maybe there were some things that didn’t surface when sober, and reserved people wouldn’t casually speak those words. But the lemon water always…

Qiao Huaiyao sighed lightly, feeling relieved that Bai Jinyan wasn’t present. If Bai Jinyan were there, who knows what would have happened while he was drunk. He hid under the blanket, lost in his thoughts, unaware that the bedroom door had opened.

“Awake?” Bai Jinyan’s gaze fell on the blanket, seemingly able to see the person hidden inside. “Get up and drink some hangover tea. Your head will hurt later.”

“Okay, I know,” Qiao Huaiyao replied.

But once he said that, he froze.

Wait a minute…

Qiao Huaiyao’s heart skipped a beat. The sound of his heartbeats seemed louder in the confined space of the blanket. He wanted to reach out from under the blanket but hesitated. Slowly, he peeked his head out from the edge of the blanket, revealing only his eyes outside. When he met Bai Jinyan’s gaze, he reflexively curled back his hand, not sure whether to stay inside or come out. He opened his mouth, but no sound came out.

Bai Jinyan noticed the situation and approached, reaching out to feel Qiao Huaiyao’s forehead. “Are you feeling unwell?”

Qiao Huaiyao’s face turned even redder, and he shook his head slowly, whispering, “Brother…”

“Yeah,” Bai Jinyan remained composed, seemingly unaware of Qiao Huaiyao’s abnormal appearance. He took the warm water from the bedside, “Drink this, it’ll soothe your throat.”

Qiao Huaiyao coughed lightly, indeed feeling a bit dry and sore in his throat. He sipped the warm water in small sips. “When did you arrive?”

“Just now,” Bai Jinyan smiled. He patted Qiao Huaiyao’s head, “After you finish the water, drink the hangover tea.”

For someone who didn’t often drink, waking up after a hangover would be more uncomfortable. Qiao Huaiyao held the cup, rubbing his fingers against the cup’s edge. “Brother, I’m sorry, did I cause you trouble?”

Bai Jinyan was already busy with filming after joining the crew, and now he rushed over because of him. Qiao Huaiyao pursed his lips, regretting that he drank the wrong lemon water.

“Qiao Huaiyao,” Bai Jinyan called his name in a low and serious tone, furrowing his eyebrows, “Anything you do is not a trouble to me.”

After a pause, he continued, “Besides, how do you know my thoughts are different?”

Qiao Huaiyao was taken aback, momentarily not understanding Bai Jinyan’s words. Bai Jinyan neatly folded the edge of the thin blanket and looked at him calmly. “Didn’t you say you miss me?”

Qiao Huaiyao suddenly widened his eyes. The warmth that had just faded from his cheeks seemed to resurge, and he lifted the corners of his mouth, “Brother…”

Bai Jinyan pinched his cheek, casually taking away the water cup, “Finish drinking and come out to eat.”

Qiao Huaiyao smiled, “Okay!”

“Brother, coming here, will it delay the progress of the crew?” Qiao Huaiyao was still a little worried.

“No, the period drama filming is already done. I’m just here to shoot a few additional scenes,” Bai Jinyan explained.

Qiao Huaiyao nodded, somewhat understanding. “So, do you need to return to that crew after this?”

“I have other work arrangements after this,” Bai Jinyan took away the bag of chips Qiao Huaiyao was eating and replaced it with a plate of mini milk buns.

Bai Jinyan’s schedule was written in detail, using letters and numbers for some of the projects. Qiao Huaiyao glanced at the schedule, thinking about checking the flight tickets in advance and applying for a route if necessary.

Bai Jinyan chuckled at his confusion, and Qiao Huaiyao asked, “The suspense drama, I remember it’s connected with another crew. Where is the suspense drama being filmed?”

He wanted to check the flight tickets in advance. If there weren’t suitable ones, he needed to apply for the trip in advance at home.

Bai Jinyan heard this and chuckled lightly. “Why? Are you planning to follow me?”
