The Protagonist Pursues Me Relentlessly – Chapter 50

The highest rank in League of Legends is the “Challenger,” followed by the “Grandmaster” and “Master” ranks.

Only the top 200 players in each region can obtain the title of “Challenger.” Players ranked between 201 and 700 are considered “Grandmasters,” while those below that rank are “Masters.”

Jiang Mo’s account has been on a winning streak, rarely losing. He gains a significant number of points in each game, allowing him to quickly climb the ranks.

The ranking data is updated daily based on individual victory points. Jiang Mo has successfully reached the rank of “Grandmaster.”

After days of hard work, everything became worthwhile when he saw the title of “Grandmaster.”

“Wow, you’re amazing! Boss, when you have time, can you boost my rank too?” Chi Yu disliked bringing assistants when discussing matters. Da Zhuang was bored in the room and decided to stay after Jiang Mo finished his lunch.

Da Zhuang also plays League of Legends but is not very skilled. He watched the games all afternoon and was even more excited than Jiang Mo himself.

No wonder Boss Chi was so addicted to watching Jiang Mo’s livestream. Anyone who watches it would be thrilled.

One thing Da Zhuang didn’t understand was that when Chi Yu watched Jiang Mo’s livestream, he wasn’t watching his skills; he was interested in Jiang Mo as a person.

The peculiar nickname, although Jiang Mo corrected Da Zhuang several times, Da Zhuang was determined to call him that way. Jiang Mo had no choice but to let him.

“I…I won’t play with you.” Jiang Mo rejected him mercilessly.

Da Zhuang: “…” He whimpered sadly. So cold and heartless. Jiang Mo and Boss Chi had something in common in this regard, so calling him Boss was not a mistake.

Da Zhuang’s request was not difficult at all.

If it were someone else, Jiang Mo would have agreed immediately. But he didn’t have much time left.

With Chi Yu supervising, Jiang Mo couldn’t stay up all night to climb the ranks. He couldn’t play more than 20 games a day, and each game had to be played to win as much as possible.

Jiang Mo not only competed against the five opponents but also had to compete with the other 500 players in the Grandmaster rank.

The rankings changed every day, and many people, like him, were working hard to climb the ranks.

He didn’t even have time to play games with Chi Yu. With the time he had, why would he abandon Chi Yu and choose Da Zhuang?

Someone knocked on the door. Jiang Mo was in the room, and Chi Yu didn’t bring his room key.

Da Zhuang quickly got up and opened the door. It was raining outside, and Chi Yu didn’t have an umbrella. The shooting location was nearby, so Chi Yu didn’t ask for an umbrella from the staff. The rain wasn’t heavy, but it soaked his coat and hair.

“I was so engrossed in watching Boss play games that I didn’t notice it was raining outside. Why didn’t you inform me? I could have picked you up.” Da Zhuang quickly grabbed a clean towel from the bathroom and handed it to Chi Yu.

“It’s just a light rain, it’s fine,” Chi Yu took the towel but didn’t immediately dry himself. He looked at Da Zhuang and said lightly, “You can take care of your own dinner.”

“Alright, then I’ll leave,” Da Zhuang happily left since he had no tasks to do and closed the door behind them.

“You… why don’t you take a shower?” Jiang Mo worriedly looked at Chi Yu. He could easily catch a cold after getting wet in the rain.

Chi Yu walked to the table and handed the towel to Jiang Mo. “Help me dry.”

Jiang Mo didn’t refuse and immediately stood up, pulling Chi Yu to sit in the position he had just occupied. It would be more convenient to dry him that way.

Chi Yu’s hair ends were soft, but the roots were a bit hard. When Jiang Mo’s fingers went through his hair, it wasn’t as soft and smooth as he had imagined. Chi Yu’s shampoo carried a pleasant scent of white tea. While drying, Jiang Mo subconsciously sniffed it.

They were too close, and Chi Yu’s attention was focused entirely on Jiang Mo. Naturally, he noticed Jiang Mo’s slight movement.

Chi Yu extended his long leg, slightly bending it, and his ankle brushed against Jiang Mo’s calf with some force. Jiang Mo wasn’t prepared for his sudden move, and his body leaned toward him.

Chi Yu reached out and held Jiang Mo’s slender waist, burying his face in Jiang Mo’s belly.

“I… I haven’t finished drying you yet.” Jiang Mo’s knees went weak, and he leaned against the chair. Chi Yu’s legs clamped the leg he was standing on, making it impossible for him to resist.

“Um, I’ll take a shower later. It’s fine if I don’t dry off,” Chi Yu’s lazy voice fell into Jiang Mo’s ears, giving him the feeling that Chi Yu was acting spoiled towards him.

“The clothes…” Jiang Mo’s left hand was still tangled in Chi Yu’s hair, and his heart was beating too fast. Chi Yu would hear it. “My clothes will get wet because of you.”

“I did it on purpose,” Chi Yu lifted his head from Jiang Mo’s embrace, a smirk playing on his lips. “We’re both wet, so we can shower together. It’ll be faster, and we won’t catch a cold.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

“Okay, I’ll go shower first. Take off your coat and change into something else. You can shower after I’m done,” Chi Yu joked. He had developed a bad habit of teasing Jiang Mo once every day.

He let go of Jiang Mo, rummaged through his suitcase for clean clothes, and walked into the bathroom. Jiang Mo followed him to the bathroom door.

Jiang Mo held his little Minion pajamas in his hand, looking nervous as he watched Chi Yu. Chi Yu was unusually stunned.

“You…”

Jiang Mo’s face turned red, and he stammered, “Should… should we shower together?”

Chi Yu: “…”

“We’re… we’re both wet… If we don’t shower, we might catch a cold,” Jiang Mo’s eyes darted around, nervous and shy.

He instinctively used his clothes to cover half of his face. “You said showering together would be faster…”

“Do you know what you’re saying?” Chi Yu’s expression must have twisted if he was afraid of scaring Jiang Mo.

This fool, did he know how long Chi Yu had been holding back? He easily delivered himself to Chi Yu’s doorstep, and it was only Jiang Mo.

Chi Yu’s expression became somewhat frightening, deeply ominous.

Could it be that he said something he shouldn’t have? Did Chi Yu actually not want to shower together?

But Chi Yu seemed so eager just now. Jiang Mo could sense the anticipation in Chi Yu’s words, and it took him a lot of courage to make up his mind.

“If… if you don’t want to, forget it.” Speaking those words drained all of Jiang Mo’s courage, and he backed away with his clothes in his arms.

Ah, how embarrassing. He wanted to find a hole to hide in. For a short period of time, he didn’t want to face Chi Yu anymore.

He heard hurried footsteps behind him, and someone forcefully embraced his waist from behind. His body was suddenly lifted into the air, startling Jiang Mo. Chi Yu carried him into the bathroom.

Chi Yu leaned close to his ear, his voice menacing, “You asked for it, don’t regret it.”

This Chi Yu was different from the Chi Yu he knew. It felt unfamiliar, and Jiang Mo was a little scared. It was the first time he saw Chi Yu’s eyes turn red, like a wild beast.

Yes, he could feel a wild beast emerging from Chi Yu’s body.

His clothes were removed by Chi Yu and thrown into the filled bathtub. Jiang Mo finally understood the meaning of “don’t regret it” from Chi Yu.

For a whole hour, Jiang Mo experienced feelings he had never experienced before.

This bath was anything but innocent.

Chi Yu kissed him until he was dizzy, unable to keep up with his thoughts. He simply nodded whenever Chi Yu said something.

When the water became dirty, Chi Yu changed it with a full bathtub of clean water. He washed Jiang Mo again, then carried him onto the bed. Jiang Mo’s brain was still in a state of shock as he stared blankly at the faint light above him.

Jiang Mo had never done such a thing before, but he knew what it was. They hadn’t gone all the way, so their actions could be called helping each other.

Jiang Mo covered his face, realizing what had happened. He stared at his hands, the scent washed away, but the sensation remained. Damn it!

Jiang Mo curled his fingers and dared not touch his face with his hands again.

“Are you savoring the moment?” Chi Yu’s lowered laughter came, and the mattress sank as he changed into a gray pajama. His face showed a refreshed expression.

Jiang Mo: “…”

Jiang Mo’s gaze fell on Chi Yu’s mouth, recalling Chi Yu’s posture in the bathroom just now…

Dmn it!

Jiang Mo grabbed the corner of the blanket and tucked himself into the covers, pretending to be asleep.

“What do you feel like eating tonight, crawfish over rice or crab roe noodles?” Chi Yu lightly tapped on Jiang Mo’s blanket, asking.

Jiang Mo’s voice sounded muffled, “Either one is fine.”

“Then I’ll decide.” Chi Yu said.

“Mm.”

Knowing that Jiang Mo needed some time to process, Chi Yu didn’t speak further or tease Jiang Mo. He gave Jiang Mo time to adjust.

This time, Jiang Mo couldn’t blame him. It could only be said that Jiang Mo had brought it upon himself.

Chi Yu licked his lips, realizing that Jiang Mo might not be the one reminiscing; it was him.

Having experienced it once, he already wanted to do it a second time.

This was really troublesome.

The crew officially started filming, and Chi Yu had night scenes these past two days.

When Chi Yu wasn’t around, Da Zhuang took on Chi Yu’s command. At ten o’clock sharp, he would urge Jiang Mo to go to sleep.

Initially, sleeping with Chi Yu was uncomfortable, but as Jiang Mo gradually got used to having Chi Yu by his side, he began to suffer from insomnia.

Every time, he would toss and turn in bed for half an hour before falling asleep.

He slept well and couldn’t feel when Chi Yu returned. The two of them only had a chance to see each other in the morning.

Sometimes, Chi Yu would rush to the set before dawn.

At noon that day, Jiang Mo received a text message from Chi Yu. Without rejecting Chi Yu this time, Jiang Mo planned to go find him for lunch.

Jiang Mo prepared himself, taking out his hat and mask that he hadn’t used in a long time, fully armed to meet Chi Yu.

Although he had left the entertainment industry, there were still paparazzi with no taste who had nothing better to do but exploit his affairs.

In the short term, before the public forgot about him, Jiang Mo had to take safety measures whenever he went out.

While Chi Yu was still filming, Jiang Mo arrived at an old mansion based on Chi Yu’s instructions, planning to wait for him there.

Jiang Mo deliberately waited by the back door. Tired of standing, he squatted at the edge of a flower bed, playing his single-player version of Landlord.

The computer opponent had no intelligence and played whatever cards it had. Jiang Mo battled against it, quickly accumulating a lot of game coins.

In order to hear the sound of the game coins being added to his account, he turned up the volume on his phone to the maximum. The clinking sound of coins falling into a piggy bank was particularly satisfying, and Jiang Mo smiled until his eyes curved.

Behind him, the door opened, and a crisp and pleasant female voice floated over. “Are you Jiang Mo?”

Jiang Mo turned his head and saw a pair of long legs clad in leather pants.

The woman wore flat shoes, indicating her tall stature, about 1.7 meters. Her dressing style was quite neutral, with a neat chestnut-colored short hair. She wore light makeup on her face, exuding an extremely graceful demeanor that could attract anyone’s attention with just a glance.

Jiang Mo recognized this woman. Liang Yi, who had played Chi Yu’s sister in a movie.

He had watched that movie several times, and he was extremely familiar with this face.

“Um, hello.” Jiang Mo stood up in a panic, his face full of confusion hidden by the mask, but his anxiousness was revealed in his eyes.

When Liang Yi saw the figure crouching at the door, she was slightly surprised for a few seconds.

She wasn’t entirely sure, but she had watched many of Jiang Mo’s videos recently.

With the mentality of taking a quick look, she approached and asked, not expecting it to really be Jiang Mo.

Chi Yu had actually brought Jiang Mo to the set.

In that instant, Liang Yi felt a great shock and impact.

Once again, Chi Yu shattered her perception of him.

Liang Yi didn’t know Jiang Mo personally. They had met briefly at a previous event, but they had never spoken. Her impression of Jiang Mo was zero.

Because of Chi Yu, she had intentionally looked up information about Jiang Mo.

Jiang Mo’s reputation wasn’t good, but after appearing on a reality dating show, he gained quite a bit of popularity. However, just when the topic was heating up, he left the industry.

Chi Yu must like Jiang Mo; he must have seen something unique in Jiang Mo. The boy in front of her was very cute.

She never expected that Chi Yu would like a boy with a cute image.

“I-I’m Jiang Mo. Senior, hello,” Jiang Mo nervously extended his hand to Liang Yi and said, “Your movies are great. I-I really like them.”

Liang Yi shook hands with Jiang Mo, becoming interested. “Which of my movies do you like?”

Jiang Mo replied, “Spring, River, Flower, Moonlight.”

That was the period film in which Chi Yu and Liang Yi co-starred.

“I didn’t expect someone to still remember that old movie.” Liang Yi felt a bit embarrassed.

This movie was her first collaboration with Chi Yu. Because of Jiang Mo’s relationship with Chi Yu, she always felt something was off.

That day, Chi Yu took the initiative to confess his love to her. Although he didn’t explicitly say it, she knew she had been rejected by Chi Yu.

Being rejected by her first love would definitely be upsetting. She wasn’t someone who made a fuss for no reason. If Chi Yu doesn’t like her, then she’ll move on to the next one.

She thought she had let go of it already, but when mentioning this movie in front of Jiang Mo, she still felt uneasy. It seemed that she hadn’t completely moved on.

“Is there anything else?” Liang Yi quickly changed the subject to this movie.

Jiang Mo was taken aback, lowered his eyes, and embarrassedly said, “…Spring, River, Flower, Moonlight.”

Liang Yi: “…” So this guy has only watched this one movie of hers, huh?

But thinking carefully, Liang Yi understood.

Jiang Mo was a fan of Chi Yu, and saying that to her was just being polite. Jiang Mo could remember her, most likely because Chi Yu was in this movie. It was a coincidence that she happened to be the female lead; otherwise, Jiang Mo wouldn’t remember her.

Liang Yi wouldn’t get angry because of this. She just found it amusing.

Many juniors she met often said the same thing to her: “I really like your movies.” When she asked further, they would speak eloquently. Only a few genuinely liked her, while most of them knew she would be present and purposely memorized information about her.

Not much sincerity there.

Jiang Mo had been in the entertainment industry for so many years, yet he still seemed like an inexperienced and innocent child. His pitch-black eyes contained no impurities. Liang Yi couldn’t detect any pretense from Jiang Mo; she was sure he was very genuine.

So, Chi Yu liked someone like this.

“What are you two doing?” Chi Yu had just finished shooting and hurriedly walked out of the set to find Jiang Mo.

From a distance, he saw Liang Yi and Jiang Mo standing outside the door, chatting and laughing. He couldn’t help but frown.

“Just chatting with Mo Mo,” Liang Yi waved her phone, “He’s teaching me how to play Landlord.”

Mo Mo? He didn’t even call him to join, how did Liang Yi call him first?

Chi Yu: “Landlord is so simple, do you really need teaching?”

“Of course, Mo Mo is teaching me how to cheat. We don’t fight to be the Landlord; we collaborate to calculate the cards and trap the Landlord,” Liang Yi showed her phone to Chi Yu, “Look, Mo Mo helped me win a lot of game coins.”

Chi Yu: “…”

Chi Yu grabbed Jiang Mo and pulled him close, embracing him from behind. He rested his chin on Jiang Mo’s head. He had been tired the whole morning, and holding Jiang Mo made him feel comfortable.

Liang Yi was there, and Jiang Mo wasn’t used to being intimate with Chi Yu in front of strangers.

He slightly pushed Chi Yu, but Chi Yu held him even tighter, lowering his voice weakly, “Don’t move, let me recharge a bit.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

“Are you done playing? Are you hungry?” Chi Yu timely changed the topic.

Jiang Mo nodded, “A little.”

Chi Yu said, “Da Zhuang told me yesterday that there’s a delicious roast duck restaurant nearby. I’ll take you there.”

After Chi Yu finished speaking, he was about to leave with Jiang Mo. Jiang Mo tugged at Chi Yu’s sleeve and pointed at Liang Yi, “Shouldn’t we invite Sister Liang too?”

It’s only been a few minutes, and he’s already calling her Sister?

“Your assistant should have prepared lunch for you, right?” Chi Yu used his gaze to signal Liang Yi.

The two of them were old partners, and with a single glance from Chi Yu, Liang Yi understood his meaning. She shrugged her shoulders, “You guys go ahead. I won’t join.”

Liang Yi looked at Jiang Mo again, “Mo Mo, when you have time, continue to teach me how to earn game coins.”

“Sure, sure,” Jiang Mo agreed readily.

“Let’s go, I’m hungry,” Chi Yu blocked Jiang Mo’s view of Liang Yi and held him tightly, his body pressing against Jiang Mo’s as if it had no bones. He maintained a position that wouldn’t make Jiang Mo uncomfortable.

“Then eat more later,” Jiang Mo obediently carried Chi Yu on his back and increased his pace.

“Okay, but I want you to feed me.”

Jiang Mo: “…”

Watching the two figures walking away, Liang Yi sighed helplessly.

She clearly likes Chi Yu, but Chi Yu treats her as a rival.

When Chi Yu appears, she doesn’t even have a chance to interject. What kind of possessiveness is this?

After meeting Jiang Mo, she truly let go.

She lost completely.

However, she doesn’t feel wronged by the loss.

Chi Yu is glad he made the decision to bring Jiang Mo to the set.

Otherwise, without being able to see Jiang Mo, it would be difficult for them to maintain their daily video calls, and he would go crazy. Now, the happiest thing every day is being able to see Jiang Mo as soon as he opens his eyes.

The two of them got a private room. Chi Yu had filmed two action scenes in the morning without a stunt double.

He personally participated in the fight scenes and ended up with a cut on the back of his right hand. Jiang Mo felt distressed and asked the staff at the restaurant for a first aid kit. He clumsily applied the medicine to Chi Yu’s hand.

When the plate of duck meat was brought out, Chi Yu “played lazy” again. Using his injured hand as an excuse, he asked Jiang Mo to feed him.

Jiang Mo was easily fooled.

He genuinely felt sorry for Chi Yu, and even if Chi Yu didn’t ask, he would have taken care of him.

After all, it was simple to just roll the duck meat in the spring pancake, without the need to spoon-feed Chi Yu bite by bite.

While they were eating, Jiang Mo’s phone received several new messages. He glanced at them briefly, and his expression stiffened for a moment, which Chi Yu noticed.

“What’s wrong?” Chi Yu asked.

Jiang Mo hesitated for a moment and chose to be honest. “It’s Guo Xiang, my aunt’s son. He sent me a threatening message.”

Chi Yu’s face darkened. “What is he threatening you with?”

“He said he knows about us being together, and if I want him to keep it a secret, I have to pay him three million as hush money.”

This mother and son duo must have hit a dead end with Father Lu and turned to cause trouble for Jiang Mo instead. They probably saw him when he went to Lu’s house last time and recognized his identity.

Chi Yu didn’t feel the slightest bit nervous. Instead, he smiled. “Then let him speak.”

Jiang Mo was taken aback. “He… he will expose our relationship.”

“Let him. I wouldn’t mind if he announced it to the world.”

  1. I was prepared to dislike Liang Yi; someone who still wants to try even when she knows Chi Yu is pursuing someone else? Rude. But I’ll let her off, since she gave up after meeting Jiang Mo – some people will keep pursuing even while smiling in the other’s face.

  2. ah finally meet a ml’s female friend who doesn’t jealous over ml & mc’s relationship
