The Escaping Little Snow White Ferret from the Black Moonlight Camp – Chapter 34

Chapter 34 – Sweetheart from the Sky: The Gentle CEO’s Sweet Kiss (34)

Madam Dan wanted to leave, but she couldn’t resist the temptation of witnessing Bai Mo’s miserable fate. Ji Jian was ruthless—few who offended him ever met a good end.

The ride-hailing driver, however, had no such curiosity. After overhearing the secret, he wanted to escape. He started his engine, but the roar of the vehicle immediately caught Ji Jian’s attention.

Capturing one or two makes no difference.

This matter absolutely could not be leaked—it wasn’t just about business competition anymore.

And so, the ride-hailing driver, the taxi driver who had transported the Bai couple, Bai Mo, and the Bai couple themselves were all dragged into the building together.

Jianxin Company occupied a vast area, with its office buildings, factories, archives, and laboratories all housed within the complex. Since it was still working hours, Ji Jian chose to bring the captives to the research building, where fewer people were present.

Moreover, only Jianxin’s core researchers had access to this facility. Even if they weren’t entirely aware of Ji Jian’s dealings, many had heard whispers of his darker activities. Silence and compliance made them accomplices.

The boy’s face was truly stunning.

Even knowing he belonged to the opposing side, Ji Jian found himself reluctant to act too harshly against such an exquisite face.

Fortunately, the boy seemed cooperative, walking quietly without resistance. Seeing his obedience, Ji Jian decided not to have his bodyguards restrain him.

The others weren’t so lucky.

The Bai couple and the two drivers had their hands tied together with rope, forced into a single file line, and were shoved forward roughly by the security guards.

Bai Mo had triggered a hidden storyline.

Before he entered, Jianxin’s internal map was a foggy blur on Xiao Bobao’s interface.

Now, as Bai Mo was brought deeper inside, Xiao Bobao was frantically mapping out the company’s interior, revealing new details with every step.

Bai Mo’s silence wasn’t out of fear—it was due to Xiao Bobaot’s warning.

“In an unknown situation, don’t act recklessly. Prioritize safety at all costs.”

The deeper they went, the colder it became.

Bai Mo involuntarily shivered.

By the time they reached the office, he felt like he was on the verge of freezing solid.

Without fur, there was no warmth. Sometimes, being human wasn’t all that great either. Bai Mo, bored out of his mind, let his thoughts wander.

“Sit,” Ji Jian gestured toward the sofa, addressing the boy.

Madam Dan assumed he was speaking to her and sat down proudly. To her surprise, Bai Mo also plopped himself onto the adjacent sofa without hesitation.

Two people, the same disregard for courtesy—yet Ji Jian’s reaction was vastly different. When Madam Dan sat down so haughtily, Ji Jian frowned. But when he saw how the boy made himself comfortable as if this were his own territory, Ji Jian couldn’t help but chuckle.

Bai Mo was shivering from the cold. He discreetly rubbed his hands together for warmth. Suddenly, a cup of hot tea slid toward him. He looked up and saw Ji Jian himself had brewed the tea, his eyes glinting with ill intentions.

Bai Mo sniffled, his nose red from the chill, and simply cupped the tea in his hands—with no intention of drinking it.

Anyone who knew Bai Mo well understood his tastes: he liked admiring beautiful people.

If Ji Jian’s looks were on par with He Yuchi’s, Bai Mo might have spared him a few extra glances. But reality was the complete opposite.

While Ji Jian wasn’t ugly enough to be a public nuisance, he was far below Bai Mo’s standards. So, Bai Mo kept his head down, focused on his tea, and didn’t even spare Ji Jian a glance.

Madam Dan saw everything and immediately understood the situation—Ji Jian was interested in Bai Mo.

What was so special about Bai Mo?! Aside from that delicate face, what else did he have to offer?! Why did everyone stand on his side? He had stolen Wenwen’s golden ticket, robbed Old Master Dan’s affection and attention, and even had the cold-hearted Dan Sihe backing him. Even her lover, Old Wu, had been arrested because of Bai Mo!

Madam Dan’s fingers clenched tightly around her purse. With a smile that didn’t reach her eyes, she said, “President Ji, I suggest you put away your little thoughts. He’s not just the Dan family’s young master—he’s also He Yuchi’s fiancé. Once Old Wu is sentenced, they’ll be getting married.”

Madam Dan knew that Ji Jian hated the He family. Bai Mo was connected to his enemy—there was no way Ji Jian could still be interested in him.

But to her surprise, Ji Jian’s eyes lit up upon hearing her words. The way he looked at the boy now carried an unspoken desire and a determined possessiveness.

He Yuchi’s fiancé? Oh, how interesting. If He Yuchi found out that his fiancé had fallen into his hands, Ji Jian wondered just how furious he would be.

Driven by his own selfish motives, Ji Jian tried to tempt the boy. “The He Corporation is on the verge of collapse. What’s so good about staying with He Yuchi? Why not follow me instead? Whatever He Yuchi can’t give you, I can. And whatever he can give you, I’ll double it. Think about it…” As he spoke, he reached out to touch Bai Mo’s hand, only for the boy to dodge to the side.

Unwilling to give up, Ji Jian tried again. Bai Mo kept retreating until he was nearly falling off the sofa. Enough was enough. With a sharp sound, he slammed the teacup down onto the table, the tea sloshing over the rim.

“Not interested. I refuse.” Bai Mo tilted his chin up, his delicate face tinged pink with anger. His clear eyes held a stubborn defiance, making him look like an annoyed little kitten, claws out—adorable, yet utterly harmless.

Young in age but fiery in temper—just Ji Jian’s type. He liked a challenge. Besides, he didn’t think conquering Bai Mo would be all that difficult.

“Why? Am I not better than He Yuchi?” Ji Jian was confident. With the stolen business plans he had used to strike a heavy blow against He Corporation—and with his spies planted within their ranks—he knew the company was now all bark and no bite. It might fool outsiders, but not him.

Bai Mo curled his lip in disdain. “You’re too ugly.”

Too ugly. Too ugly…

Ji Jian felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He stared at Bai Mo in disbelief. “What did you just say?”

Bai Mo, still unimpressed, gave Ji Jian a once-over. Not only was he unattractive, but there were also signs of weight gain. His expression showed pure disgust. “Not only ugly, but also smelly. Please stop facing me directly—you’re polluting my eyes. And if you stink, take a shower. Maybe try using some nice cologne.”

Xiao Bobao in Bai Mo’s mind was rolling on the floor laughing. Hahaha! Ugly people sure like causing trouble. Yep, that’s you.

No one could hear themselves being insulted like this and still keep their cool. Ji Jian’s face turned stormy. Ever since he had become the company president, no one had dared criticize him to his face. Bai Mo was the first—and the only—one.

Madam Dan, seeing that Ji Jian had now also fallen victim to Bai Mo’s sharp tongue, felt her resentment suddenly balance out. Bai Mo’s assessment of Ji Jian was even harsher than her own sarcasm. For some reason, that brought her a twisted sense of satisfaction.

“This brat is an ungrateful little wolf,” she sneered. “His adoptive parents raised him with care, and what did he do? Framed them and got them beaten black and blue. And you still think you can win him over? What a joke.” She deliberately twisted the truth, reveling in the chaos.

Bai Mo was stunned. He shot a look at Madam Dan that screamed, Are you insane, Auntie Dan?

“If you don’t want your eyes anymore, consider donating them to someone in need,” Bai Mo quipped, channeling his inner savage commentator. Any clear-headed person knew exactly how the Bai couple had treated him. And yet, she still had the nerve to flip the story?

“Actually, never mind. Your eyes are so ugly, donating them would only lower the country’s average attractiveness.”
