The Escaping Little Snow White Ferret from the Black Moonlight Camp – Chapter 19

Chapter 19 – Sweetheart from the Sky: The Gentle CEO’s Sweet Kiss (19)

A few days later, the test results came back. The report confirmed that Dan Sihe and Bai Mo were indeed brothers.

The moment he received the report, Dan Sihe’s hands trembled.

After nearly twenty years, he had finally found his younger brother.

Thinking about the investigation results—Bai Mo’s past filled with abuse—Dan Sihe could no longer sit still. He immediately postponed his meeting, slammed his foot on the gas pedal, and sped toward the bookstore. He had to tell Bai Mo in person—they were brothers, real blood brothers. From now on, he would never let anyone bully Mo Mo again.

During this time, many people were investigating Bai Mo. Not only was Dan Sihe looking into him, but Dan Xiaowen was also conducting her own inquiries. However, compared to Dan Sihe, her financial resources and connections were far less extensive. The information she obtained was mostly superficial—Bai Mo’s impoverished family, his parasitic, vampire-like parents, and his shameless relatives.

As for scandals? The only dirt she found was that Bai Mo had pretended to be a rich second-generation heir during his university years. But even then, he never deceived anyone for money or personal gain. He simply put on an act for himself. Academically, he ranked in the top ten of his class every year. Even if someone wanted to badmouth him, they wouldn’t be able to say more than three sentences.

Dan Xiaowen repeatedly examined the words on the report, unable to comprehend—how did Bai Mo, who had nothing but a good-looking face, manage to capture He Yuchi’s heart?

No matter.

A pretty face—that was all Bai Mo had to offer.

The upper-class world was not that easy to enter. A beautiful face? Bai Mo had it, but so did she. And what Bai Mo lacked—she had in abundance.

Checking the time, Dan Xiaowen stood up and changed into a sweet, delicate dress. She had just started a new job as a tea master at a tea house. With her background, she could have easily entered the Dan Corporation or even the He Corporation.

But He Yuchi had chosen to become a humble tea master.

He Yuchi—he would be hers.

At the Bookstore.

Bai Mo had been working for several days now. Thanks to the fact that it was a newly opened store with stylish decor, most of the customers who walked in were quite polite. His job wasn’t particularly difficult—just busy. For some reason, though, all the customers who came to ask for his help were young women.

Bai Mo was dedicated to his work and patiently guided them through the bookstore, explaining the different sections. However, the young women didn’t seem very bright—they kept getting lost and coming back to ask for directions. Even when he personally led them to the right section, they would still manage to wander around and lose their way again.

The little snow ferret was confused. Were humans not a very intelligent species?

But, of course, it wasn’t that the young women weren’t smart—it was simply that Bai Mo was too adorable. His presence awakened their inner fangirls, and they couldn’t resist finding excuses to talk to him.

Especially when he was asked something he wasn’t too familiar with—he would tilt his head slightly, purse his lips in thought, and blink his clear, round eyes in confusion. Watching him scratch his head, search for books, and then say in his sweet, soft voice, “It’s over here, follow me~” was enough to make their hearts melt over and over again.

Hehehe, what a cutie~

Bai Mo, who was fully focused on doing his job, had no idea what was going through the minds of the young women. If he did, he’d probably be trembling in fear.

Back when he lived in the snow, the older female snow ferret—his mother’s and aunt’s generation—would often rua his fluffy little head while teasing him, trying to trick him into becoming their daughters’ husband. He was just a small and powerless ferret, unable to resist, so he could only play dumb and awkwardly laugh it off.

What a nightmare.

During a break, Bai Mo suddenly recalled those past experiences and, for the first time, noticed something unsettling—the way the young women looked at him when they spoke was eerily similar to how those snow ferret aunties used to look at him.

A bad feeling crept into his mind.

But no… that couldn’t be possible. He was human now. He didn’t even have his fluffy white fur anymore. Surely, it wasn’t what he thought it was, right?

“Mo Mo, you guessed right. It’s exactly what you’re thinking.”

After a long silence, Xiao Bobao suddenly confirmed his suspicions.

“Xiao Bobao?! Where have you been? You haven’t spoken in so long!” Bai Mo was startled by the sudden voice. The past few days, the system had disappeared. If not for the note saying, “Busy with something, be back later,” he might’ve thought something bad had happened to it.

“I was sorting out the world planes for your future missions. Everything’s ready now!” Xiao Bobao spoke cheerfully while hugging a bamboo stick like a chubby little panda. “You’ll thank me later. Want a bite? This bamboo is really tasty!”

Bai Mo had no interest in leafy green plants.

Snow ferret liked to eat meat.

Speaking of meat, Bai Mo suddenly wondered what Aunt He would be cooking tonight. Her food was simply divine—just thinking about it made the little mink drool.

Zoning out again, zoning out again—our little cutie is off in his own world.

The young women watching him couldn’t hide their amusement, giggling as they imagined the boy sprouting fluffy ears and a tail. Absolutely adorable. Was he really not some magical creature that had taken human form?

Time flew by as the little snow ferret worked diligently, and before he knew it, it was lunchtime.

Bai Mo took off the staff badge hanging around his neck and hopped excitedly toward the tea house next door.

“Brother Yu Chi~”

Before Bai Mo even stepped inside, a sweet and charming female voice rang out. The voice sounded somewhat familiar—where had he heard it before?

“Is Tea Room No. 3 cleaned up?” Standing outside, Bai Mo heard He Yuchi’s calm voice.

“It’s all cleaned up! It’s already noon—let me help you finish up quickly so we can go eat together!”

Dan Xiaowen had carefully studied Bai Mo’s interactions with He Yuchi. Since the man didn’t seem to respond well to the “gentle and understanding” type, she decided to take a different approach—playing up the cute and playful act instead. If she spent enough time with him, he would surely fall for her.

But she overlooked one thing: without comparison, there is no harm. A knockoff can never surpass the original.

Standing outside the door, Bai Mo heard He Yuchi’s rejection and nodded in satisfaction. As expected of the man he had chosen—steadfast and immune to outside temptations.

Feeling pleased, Bai Mo pushed open the door and leaped onto He Yuchi’s back, covering his eyes with his hands. “Guess who I am?” His sweet, soft voice was unmistakable—who else could it be but Bai Mo?

The corners of He Yuchi’s lips curled into a smile. Supporting the boy’s legs with his hands, he pretended not to know.

“I can’t guess… but I could take you home and take a good look.”

Saying this, He Yuchi, relying on memory, began walking toward the door with Bai Mo still on his back. As he walked, he continued speaking in an ambiguous tone.

“Home might be a bit far… How about we book a suite at the hotel next door and carefully examine what kind of rare treasure has jumped onto my back?”

Now this was the art of saying the naughtiest things in the most innocent tone.

Somewhere along the way, the once pure and noble young master had transformed into a full-fledged smooth operator, running at top speed. He had a whole arsenal of tactics ready to ensnare a certain little flirt

The young man’s face was so red it looked like it could drip blood.

As a little snow ferret who had secretly flipped through a certain age-restricted “educational reference book” in Xiao Baobao’s collection, just the images and theories alone had been enough to make him blush, his heart racing, wishing he could dig a hole and hide.

And now, thanks to He Yuchi’s words, his imagination was running wild.

Hotel, suite, research…

Ahhhhh! Why so sudden?! He wasn’t ready for this!

Bai Mo slowly lowered the hands covering the man’s eyes, instead wrapping his arms around He Yuchi’s neck. His small face burrowed deep into the crook of the man’s shoulder. His sweet, sticky voice was both expectant and shy:

“Should… Should we stop by a convenience store first…?”

Ahhh, this is too embarrassing! What was he even saying?!

Who would have thought that He Yuchi had only been teasing the boy—he simply wanted to take him to the hotel’s restaurant for a meal, while also avoiding the ever-clingy Dan Xiaowen?

Yet now, the little young man with a certain attribute had already thought about the preliminary preparations.

As another newbie driver suddenly thrown onto the road, He Yuchi’s ears turned red. The thought of Mo Mo taking the initiative sent his self-restraint crumbling. His once pure and ascetic mind was suddenly filled with improper thoughts, and a slow-burning fire ignited in his lower abdomen.

“N-No rush. Let’s eat first.”

With slightly unsteady steps, He Yuchi walked so fast that even Dan Xiaowen had to jog to keep up—but still, she couldn’t catch them.
