The Escaping Little Snow White Ferret from the Black Moonlight Camp – Chapter 18

Chapter 18 – Sweetheart from the Sky: The Gentle CEO’s Sweet Kiss (18)

The boy had just woken up, still groggy, and when he accidentally pulled a muscle in his leg, the pain made his eyes well up with tears.

This only reinforced He Yuchi’s suspicions—Mo Mo had been silently enduring psychological torment, and yet, despite spending every day with him, He Yuchi had failed to notice anything.

Guilt gnawed at him. His handsome face was filled with anguish and desperation. “Mo Mo, it’s my fault. From now on, I’ll listen to you, okay? Just don’t leave me…”

Bai Mo grew increasingly confused by He Yuchi’s words. Fortunately, Bobao stepped in to clarify: “The male lead is overthinking. He thought you were about to perform a uniformly accelerated free-fall motion just now, so he panicked…”

Huh? Bai Mo was speechless. He had finally gotten the chance to be human—this world was so beautiful, why would he ever think of ending it all?!

Just as Bai Mo once again got lost in his thoughts, he failed to notice He Yuchi’s reaction to his silence. In a daze, He Yuchi seemed to see a towering tree, and at its roots lay a tiny, dying snow ferret. He wanted to save it, but he couldn’t move—he had no hands, no feet. He could only stand by as a helpless observer, watching the little white creature slowly lose its vitality.

Meanwhile, the barrier of the night-shrouded sky was weakening. At this rate, in less than half an hour, this world would be doomed.

The small world needed a Child of Destiny to sustain it. If the protagonist collapsed before a new Child of Destiny was born, the world’s fate would unravel—at best, natural disasters would strike; at worst, the entire plane would collapse.

“Mo Mo, hurry up and do something about your man!” Bobao was freaking out as tiny energy spheres leaked from He Yuchi’s body. The little panda-like creature was on the verge of a breakdown.

The small world must not collapse!

The energy hadn’t even been fully collected yet!

If the world fell apart now, it would be disastrous for everyone. Even if the system was lucky enough to be summoned back by the Supreme God, Mo Mo—who couldn’t even return to his original form—would be forced to perish alongside the collapsing world.

Just as Bobao was trying to figure out a way to help Bai Mo escape, a soft and delicate voice unexpectedly defused the crisis.

“My legs are numb~” The boy’s eyes shimmered with unshed tears as he leaned on He Yuchi for support. His left leg went numb, then his right—an unbearable sensation that seemed endless.

“L-let me see…” He Yuchi crouched down and gently massaged the boy’s leg muscles.

“Brother Yuchi~” Bai Mo spoke hesitantly, his voice sweet yet uncertain. He could barely move without feeling the pins and needles shooting through him. If He Yuchi pressed down any harder, wouldn’t that mean—?

The little snow ferret bit his lip, too afraid to interrupt. Bobao had said that Brother Yuchi was angry. What if stopping him only made him angrier? If he got mad enough to destroy the small world, what then?

Resigning himself to fate, Bai Mo squeezed his eyes shut, ready to face whatever was coming. If someone has to suffer, let it be me.

But the pain he braced for never arrived. Instead, his tight muscles loosened, and the numbness quickly faded away.

As feeling returned to his legs, Bai Mo became acutely aware of the warmth of He Yuchi’s hands. His foot was still cradled in the man’s palm, and his round toes twitched shyly. From Bai Mo’s angle, it almost looked like He Yuchi was about to kiss his foot.

“I’m all better now.” As soon as the words left his mouth, He Yuchi let go of his leg and stared at him intently.

The night breeze was gentle, the moonlight soft. At that moment, He Yuchi seemed to glow, like a firefly in the darkness—drawing in the playful little snow mink, luring him in to capture him.

Blushing, Bai Mo gathered his courage and declared, “My lips hurt too. Brother Yuchi has to kiss them better~”

If there was ever a definition of pushing one’s luck, Bai Mo was embodying it perfectly. He had been rejected that very afternoon, yet here he was, completely swept away by He Yuchi’s tenderness, letting it muddle his reasoning. A classic case of forgetting the pain once the wound had healed.

The plane had only just stabilized, and Bobao hadn’t even had time to take a sip of water before Bai Mo’s boldness nearly knocked it off its feet.

“Mo Mo, the book says that the one being pursued should act reserved. We need to play hard to get—make the male lead reflect on his mistakes.” It was a tried and tested strategy. The Supreme God’s previous hosts had used this exact method to drive their targets mad with desire.

“I refuse. We snow ferret always get what we set our eyes on. Taking the initiative is our style.”

In reality, Bai Mo regretted his words the moment they left his mouth. Why did I let my brain short-circuit and blurt out my true thoughts? But if he suddenly backtracked, wouldn’t that put him at a disadvantage?

Even though he was already panicking on the inside, the prideful little snow ferret refused to admit defeat.

Bai Mo had fully prepared himself for a firm rejection from the ever-principled He Yuchi. But to his surprise, not only did He Yuchi not push him away, he even leaned in closer.

Their faces were so near that Bai Mo could count each of He Yuchi’s eyelashes.

“Is it here… or here…” A pair of warm, slender fingers brushed lightly against the corners of Bai Mo’s lips. Before he could respond, the man’s cool lips pressed against his own.

The long-lost kiss was like a stone cast into the still waters of a lake, stirring up ripples that spread outward in waves. The tender affection in He Yuchi’s touch sent Bai Mo’s heartbeat into a frantic rhythm, one that refused to settle even after the kiss had ended.

As they pulled apart, He Yuchi gazed at the boy’s flushed face—his redness extending all the way to his neck. His deep eyes held unwavering devotion as he whispered, “Mo Mo, stay with me, won’t you? I’ll do whatever you want.”

The intensity in He Yuchi’s eyes was overwhelming, filled with sincerity as he longed for Bai Mo’s promise. He had watched the boy sit in that rocking chair, lost in thought, for what felt like an eternity. Every minute, every second of that wait had been like tossing his heart into a boiling pot of oil—painful, torturous, and unbearable.

He had never known that loving someone could be so bittersweet.

His mind replayed every moment spent with Bai Mo—ordinary, fleeting scenes that now tasted sweeter than honey. And yet, every time Bai Mo turned his back to him, the pain was piercing, unbearable.

“Mm~” Bai Mo nodded eagerly, his smile filled with shyness and joy. Love had completely muddled the little ferret’s reasoning—there was no room left in his mind to overthink.

He only knew one thing: from now on, if he wanted kisses, cuddles, or to be lifted high into the air, he would never be refused.

They had held hands, kissed, hugged—wasn’t he just one step away from reaching the peak of romantic bliss?

Bobao silently recorded this scene, deep in thought. She was almost certain now—Bai Mo and the male lead must have had some sort of connection in a past life. Otherwise, why would He Yuchi pamper Bai Mo so unconditionally, to the point of embracing him the first time they met?

When she was younger, Bobao had accompanied the Supreme God on many missions. Back then, the Supreme God’s chosen hosts often had deep bonds with their partners—ties so strong that they would find each other and fall in love in every small world they entered.

She couldn’t be certain if Bai Mo and He Yuchi were the same, but one thing was clear—anyone chosen by the Heavenly Dao as a Child of Fate was never ordinary. The only reason she had bonded with Bai Mo in the first place was because of his special nature.

After thinking it over for a long time, she decided not to tell Bai Mo about her suspicions. If she was right, they would meet again in the next world. But if she was wrong, Bai Mo would be the one to suffer in the end.

He had grown up now—it was time to let him make his own choices.

Watching He Yuchi carefully lead Bai Mo downstairs for dinner, treating him like the most precious treasure in the world, bobao made a firm decision: she would no longer interfere with Bai Mo and He Yuchi’s relationship.

Her only job was to ensure the mission was completed and to protect her little charge from harm.

At that moment, in the depths of the system’s space, a heart full of motherly affection quietly lit up.
