The Boss’ White Moonlight is Resurrected – Chapter 169 Part 2

At the early hours of the morning, breaking news suddenly erupted, drawing in a wave of night owls.

#Cloning Scientists All Attacked!!!#

Some people immediately saw a few partial photos and began cursing the rebels, assuming it was their fault. After all, the news had already said that they were the ones who destroyed all the cloning program’s data, and now they were starting to kill people!

However, it wasn’t long before a powerful journalist obtained video footage from the research base at the time of the incident.

#Cloning Scientists Attacked – Scene Video#

The video was very clear, clearly taken from the base’s surveillance cameras.

Inside the closed-off base, the experts were still diligently conducting experiments. But then a loud bang was heard, and a team of people barged in, heading straight for the laboratory where the experts were and began killing them.

What was surprising, however, was that the guards at the research base did nothing to stop these violent intruders!

Because of the previous incident where the experimental data was destroyed, the research base had increased security. However, no one had anticipated that such an event would happen.

The security personnel were elites selected from the military, yet they turned a blind eye to the invaders killing the experts. What did this mean?

Normally, the rebels were merely dissatisfied with certain policies set by the leader, more focused on issues like marriage and reproductive freedom. They shouldn’t have been attacking cloning experts, let alone harming natural females.

So, there could only be one truth.

The ones wanting to completely destroy the human cloning program were, in fact, the government they trusted.

Subsequent videos were released, and eventually, the experts were rescued by a group of uniformed youths.

The youths killed anyone they encountered, and in the end, they carried the experts away. Their appearance was fierce and bloodthirsty, yet somehow… inexplicably cute.

The series of news twists late at night not only caused an uproar among the public but also left the government in disbelief. Clearly, most of them had been kept in the dark!

Upon closer investigation, they began to suspect the mastermind behind it all. The military was always under the control of the Supreme Leader…

What was the Supreme Leader thinking? Was he trying to bring about the destruction of humanity?

Everyone’s confusion and anger reached a peak, and the world suddenly became restless.

Only in the Paradise, where the bright lights still shone, did it remain eerily quiet as if time itself had come to a standstill.

“The outside world is really in chaos,” Shen Ting, lying flat on the training ground with his arm as a pillow, gazed at the hazy sky.

Beside him lay Shen Yu, looking a bit darker and even more silent. If it weren’t for that foul expression, he would probably be ignored by everyone.

“What trouble did you and Tongtong get up to today?” Shen Ting sat up and looked at Shen Yu with interest, asking, “When did you find out about the incident at the research base that was reported in the news? Did Tongtong go too? I just saw her getting scolded by Mom.”

Mentioning this, Shen Yu suddenly sat up from the ground, his expression cold and serious. He spat out each word : “Keep an eye on her.”

“I can’t manage her. She listens to you more,” Shen Ting replied with a hint of refusal.

He felt sour. It seemed like his Eldest Brother cared more about Tongtong…

And Tongtong always spoke of ‘Eldest Brother’ all the time!

Shen Yu, thinking about the recent events, didn’t say anything further. After all, Ling Wing was more reliable than Shen Ting.

Today, they had killed many people and saved a few others.

But strangely, despite the bloody scenes, the public’s evaluation of them was more positive.

They said the youths were cute.

They said the youths had saved people.

In reality, those experts were still like trash, locked away in solitary confinement.

He vaguely felt that his troublesome little sister was not as simple as she seemed. She wasn’t just getting information from Ling Wu. In fact, she probably knew more than she let on.

He felt she might want to kill the Supreme Leader. She might even want to change the world.

But he found those things too annoying. Isn’t it nice here, quiet and peaceful?

Shen Yu stood up and walked outside. Shen Ting, shouting and arguing, followed him, talking to himself all the way.

Children in the Paradise have been used to licking their own wounds since childhood, so they now pay great attention to medical care. Recently, they’ve been seizing a lot of medical pods… and doctors. The experts who were rescued have mostly recovered after treatment.

When Shen Yu found out, he immediately ordered to have them all thrown out.

Wang Tong asked him why he was in such a hurry.

Shen Yu shot her a glance, and after a long pause, finally squeezed out a sentence, “Wasting food.”

Wang Tong couldn’t help but laugh and cry at the reason—it was truly absurd.

Raising such a group of experts did consume a lot of resources.

However, outside the paradise, people from various factions and reporters were around. So, later in the news, it was reported that those experts had been transferred to a hospital, and in front of the cameras, they once again described the scene of the attack. It was, as expected, the same as the video.

The army, disguised as rebels, was about to kill them, but in the end, they were rescued by the people of the paradise and received timely treatment.

In this era, criticism from the media and netizens didn’t have much impact, but the internal government of the New World was still in chaos.

Everyone sought to meet the leader, wanting to thoroughly investigate the matter, but no one could enter the Supreme Leader’s exclusive domain.

Accidents occurred every day, either an explosion here or a riot there. Everyone was uneasy, their anger was rising, and the number of people dying from various incidents kept increasing. Everyone felt as though they were once again facing the apocalypse.

So, when the Supreme Leader’s face appeared on the big screen, everyone almost knelt down in reverence.

“My health has been very poor recently. I know everything that has happened. I have been negligent in management, and I am truly unworthy of continuing as the leader. A new leader will soon be elected by you all,” the Supreme Leader said, and then disappeared from the screen.

The Supreme Leader was the backbone of the people. Now that he had announced his abdication, it seemed as though their world would collapse with him.

In the huge, bright hall, two giant mechanical arms moved. After the Supreme Leader’s face disappeared from the screen, they suddenly focused on a figure in the center.

With a *crack,* the trembling man was torn in two, blood splattering across the clean, bright floor, making it a horrifying sight.

“Useless fool!” The hall echoed with an angry voice.

Not far away, two men in military uniforms were so scared they immediately knelt on the ground, “Supreme Leader!”

They were both over a hundred years old, having followed the Supreme Leader since childhood. They had always known about the Supreme Leader’s resurrection plan and had done their best to help. But now, they were starting to feel afraid.

What the Supreme Leader was thinking, they seemed to have no idea.

He had become more and more brutal, killing at the slightest provocation. It seemed that there was no trace of humanity left in his eyes anymore.

He cared more about robots. He even controlled the entire world’s information system…

Thinking about it, what difference was there between the Supreme Leader and a robot?

Or perhaps, he was even more terrifying than a robot that had gained consciousness.

They had originally come to inquire about the assault on the cloning plan experts, but now they dared not speak a word about it.

Above them, two powerful mechanical arms were still swinging wildly. Right in front of them, a crawling brain and rotating eyes suddenly became disgusting.

The two men’s faces turned pale, suppressing their fear as they lowered their heads.

“Have Ladbrokes Technology send over a new body, and make sure it’s suitable for the election!” The Supreme Leader’s command sounded. They kept nodding, afraid that a delayed response would bring trouble upon themselves.

The Supreme Leader had just announced his abdication, but now he was looking for a new body for the election. It seemed he still wanted to control the world.

Wang Tong felt it was so difficult because everyone around her was so passive and chill in their attitude.

Shen Yu didn’t want to get involved in outside affairs at all. Shen Ting had recently developed a fascination with dissection, and Ling Wu only needed to look at her to be satisfied.

But one thing they all had in common was that they didn’t want her running around, so they kept a close eye on her.

Wan Tong could only bring the three of them together and, face-to-face, bring up old matters. “Think about it. Didn’t Qin Hao mention before that the Supreme Leader wanted to transplant his brain into a suitable body and revive? He even coveted Ling Wu’s body before. Now, suddenly, he’s talking about stepping down, there has to be some kind of conspiracy. I don’t think it’s that simple.”

Wan Tong spoke seriously, but the three pairs of eyes stared at her calmly, without speaking immediately.

“Tongtong, I think there’s a bug in your mind,” Shen Ting said gravely.

“…Shut up, I’m serious. Don’t you think the leader wants to destroy the world? First, he accelerates the war and fights himself, then he kills women and destroys the cloning project…”

“I think…” Shen Yu actually spoke up, though his face showed no expression. Wan Tong looked at him expectantly.

“…You want to kill the Supreme Leader,” Shen Yu finished.

Wan Tong choked on her words.

Ling Wu blinked and added, “Does Tongtong want to be the Leader?”

Wan Tong’s chest tightened.

So, in their eyes, she was that ambitious?

Wasn’t it because Ling Wu had no drive, so she had to take matters into her own hands?

“Anyway, it’s pretty much the same. Don’t you just want to watch the world head toward destruction?” Wan Tong waved her hand, her face a little flushed from excitement.

Shen Yu’s gaze moved away from her rosy cheeks and he looked up at the gray sky. “Destruction isn’t so bad. It’s too noisy.”

Before Wan Tong could speak, Ling Wu added, “It’s not bad. I want to be with Tongtong, forever.”

Wan Tong was poked by his answer and couldn’t help but pinch his face. “We should be together forever. There are still many beautiful things in this world I haven’t seen enough of.”

Shen Yu’s gaze flickered slightly, but in the end, he didn’t say anything.

He knew she was looking for allies, and he knew she wasn’t being entirely honest.

But he didn’t care.

If she wanted to be the Leader, then let her be.

Seeing that everyone had fallen silent, Wan Tong quickly gave Ling Wu a look.

Ling Wu leaned in and whispered, “Whatever Tongtong says, goes.”

Wan Tong was pleased and then glanced at Shen Ting, her eyes full of expectation.

Shen Ting rubbed his nose. “I don’t mind.”

Having a sister who’s the Leader seems kind of cool…

Wan Tong smiled broadly. Great! Once she exposes the Leader and lets Ling Wu continue the storyline, she can enjoy a life of luxury.
