The Boss’ White Moonlight is Resurrected – Chapter 143 Part 2

Yue Jingye didn’t stay long before leaving, and Butler Zhong saw Yue Jingye out.

Yu Sheng’s ears twitched, and her expression darkened for a moment.

She overheard Butler Zhong asking Yue Jingye, “When do you plan to make your next move?”

Yue Jingye didn’t respond.

“Yu Sheng, are you going home today or going somewhere else? I’m heading out later and can give you a lift,” Wan Tong’s voice brought Yu Sheng back to her senses.

“Home,” Yu Sheng replied concisely.

Wan Tong nodded.

In the dressing room, after Wan Tong had changed clothes, Yu Sheng suddenly walked in and leaned close.

She pinned Wan Tong against the wall and sniffed Wan Tong’s neck.

She could faintly smell her own scent.

She couldn’t let Wan Tong go to the hospital for a blood test today, or Wan Tong’s unusual condition would definitely be discovered.

“Yu Sheng?” Wan Tong stared blankly ahead, unsure why Yu Sheng was acting this way.

“Going to the hospital?” Yu Sheng asked.

“Not today, maybe in a couple of days. Anyway, I don’t feel unwell,” Wan Tong thought for a moment, then added, “You saved my life; I should repay you properly. Do you have any wishes?”

She was straightforward, and if someone sensitive heard her, they might feel uncomfortable.

But Yu Sheng was no ordinary person. After hearing what Wan Tong said, she bowed her head in contemplation for a moment before saying, “I want to find my parents.”

“Your parents? You got separated from them?”

“Yes.”

“I’ll help you, but let me finish what I’m working on first. Then, you can give me some details about your parents.”

Yu Sheng pressed her lips together, a flicker of dark blue appeared in her eyes, but it quickly vanished.

Yu Sheng had never told anyone about her parents because she knew that she could only rely on herself to find them. After all, she carried a secret she couldn’t reveal.

“Yue Wantong, you’re on your own, be careful,” Yu Sheng said earnestly, staring at Wan Tong.

Wan Tong could feel the genuine concern and worry in Yu Sheng’s eyes.

“Don’t worry, I’ve grown up in the Yue family. What haven’t I seen?”

Yu Sheng squatted down, rummaged through her backpack, and took out a small seashell tied with a string, handing it to Wan Tong. “You can find me if you need anything.”

Wan Tong looked at the seashell, blinking. She felt like she’d stumbled upon a treasure girl1.

“Why don’t you give me your phone number too?” Wan Tong said, holding the seashell.

The seashell was romantic but not practical.

Yu Sheng recited a string of numbers, which Wan Tong entered into her phone before they left together.

After dropping Yu Sheng off at her home, Wan Tong didn’t hurry back to the company. Instead, Wan Tong went to Secretary Hao’s house.

However, the apartment where Secretary Hao lived was now deserted.

Since yesterday, Wan Tong had been unable to reach him by phone, and she had no idea what was going on.

By chance, she ran into the neighbor across the hall and asked a few questions, only to find out that Secretary Hao had moved out the day before.

She felt that he was avoiding something.

Wan Tong drove to a well-known bodyguard company, where Zheng Jun was already waiting for her.

“Senior, I have selected some suitable candidates for you. According to your requirements, they are all female bodyguards. You can meet them and choose one,” Zheng Jun said, handing over a stack of profiles.

Wan Tong nodded and flipped through the profiles casually, her mind preoccupied with other things, so she didn’t go through all of them.

When Yu Sheng, dressed in a black bodyguard uniform, appeared before her with a confident demeanor, Wan Tong was taken aback. “Yu Sheng?”

Yu Sheng blinked her eyes slightly and nodded at her.

Among the five female bodyguards, Yu Sheng looked the most delicate and frail. Coupled with her naturally beautiful face, it seemed unlikely that anyone would hire her, no matter how sharp she looked in her uniform.

The transition from a professional organizer to a bodyguard, Yu Sheng’s job span was really wide.

However, Wan Tong recalled Yu Sheng’s past performance, and realized that Yu Sheng did indeed possess sharper reflexes and greater strength than an average person.

So she became serious and pointed to the most muscular woman in the lineup, then looked at Yu Sheng. “Do you dare to fight her?”

To her surprise, the sturdy-looking bodyguard spoke first, “Miss, Yu Sheng is the strongest among us. I lose to her every time we spar.”

At this point, a man who appeared to be a supervisor quickly added, “Miss Yue, Yu Sheng’s skills are indeed the best.”

Wan Tong was speechless.

Her connection with Yu Sheng seemed like a predestined encounter.

If it were anyone else, she might think it was a deliberate arrangement, but since it was Yu Sheng, she had no doubts.

In just half an hour, Wan Tong left the bodyguard company with Yu Sheng, while Zheng Jun reported the company’s daily matters to her.

At noon, the three of them arrived at Longde Seafood Restaurant.

This was a newly opened restaurant under Yue Corporation, and Wan Tong led Yu Sheng and Zheng Jun directly to a VIP room.

After Wan Tong and Zheng Jun sat down, Yu Sheng went to a screen in the adjoining tea room, and without blinking, she reached out and pulled down a black object, along with some red wires.

Zheng Jun stood up in shock. “It’s a surveillance camera.”

Wan Tong calmly took a sip of tea. “Call the restaurant manager.”

With a flash of anger on his face, Zheng Jun nodded and left the room.

In a short while, a middle-aged man dressed in a black modified Tang suit entered. He nodded respectfully at Wan Tong. “Ms. Yue…”

He was a gentle and elegant man, without the slightest hint of crassness, perfectly in harmony with the refined environment of the restaurant.

People came here either for the fresh and delicious food or for the elegant and charming decor.

“How do you explain the camera in the screen?” Wan Tong lifted her chin, motioning towards the miniature camera in Yu Sheng’s hand.

The manager, unruffled, replied, “The restaurant only has surveillance cameras in the main hall, none in the private rooms. This is the highest VIP room, and we only host one table a day here since opening. Ms. Yue, I’ll have someone check the hallway cameras and the daily guest list immediately.”

“It was just installed, and it was a woman,” Yu Sheng suddenly interjected.

All three looked at her.

Yu Sheng indicated the black tape she had pulled off, then said nonchalantly, “There are fingerprints on it.”

“How do you know it was just installed, and by a woman?” Wan Tong voiced everyone’s doubt.

“The tape is new and has the scent of cherry blossom hand cream,” Yu Sheng replied. It was a hastily set up camera, and the person who installed it was found on short notice, probably not expecting it to be discovered.

Wan Tong glanced at her and chuckled lightly. She turned to the manager and said, “Call the police.”

The manager looked at Yu Sheng and then left.

Wan Tong turned to Zheng Jun and said, “Contact Emily and give her an exclusive.”

Zheng Jun nodded and went to the window to make a call.

Yu Sheng walked over to Wan Tong and sat down beside her.

Her posture was very proper, and she looked towards the menu, blinking gently.

Wan Tong nudged her shoulder, “Yu Sheng, I find you really amazing, spotting the camera so quickly. Great job.”

Yu Sheng pressed her lips together and said, “Natural talent.”

“…” But she’s not modest at all.

Longde Seafood Restaurant was bustling today, with police and reporters arriving. A waitress was taken away by the police for questioning, crying her heart out.

In the private room, after the police left, the dishes Wan Tong ordered were served.

Zheng Jun, after sending Emily off, returned to find Yu Sheng sitting beside Wan Tong with a set of utensils in front of her.

He frowned, thinking Yu Sheng lacked professionalism. Her manager had praised her, but now she was sitting down to eat with the client.

Noticing his gaze, Yu Sheng remembered she was only Wan Tong’s bodyguard and that eating with Wan Tong wasn’t appropriate.

So she stood up and moved behind Wan Tong.

Her movements were silent. Wan Tong, sipping her soup, didn’t notice and thought she had gone to the restroom.

When she realized something was off, she glanced back.

Yu Sheng stood behind her, staring blankly at the table.

In the center of the table, the sashimi platter emitting white cold mist looked very tempting.

Wan Tong tugged on her uniform, “Yu Sheng, why aren’t you eating?”

“It’s against the rules.”

“I’m your client. Listen to me and sit down to eat.”

Wan Tong had prepared a lot of arguments to persuade Yu Sheng to disregard the rules, but it was unnecessary. As soon as she spoke, Yu Sheng quickly sat down and said, “Okay.”

Wan Tong : “…” So, what was she being reserved about in the first place? Wouldn’t it be better if she just ate from the start?

Don’t think Wan Tong didn’t know, Yu Sheng was a big foodie, especially with no resistance to seafood.
