Chapter 386 – ABO: The Heaven-Sent Sweetheart – Taking Care of Tang Tang First (10)

Jacob smoothly and handsomely shook off the pursuers, bringing his newly recruited underling, Warren, to the bar where he had arranged to meet Bai Tang.

Bai Tang stared excitedly at the bar entrance shown on the screen. There were still five minutes left before their two-hour appointment. Abu hadn’t broken his promise.

The young man happily ran out. At the bar entrance, he leapt up and clung onto Jacob—arms hooked around his neck, legs wrapped around his waist.

“Five minutes before the countdown ends, and I’m back.” Jacob hugged Bai Tang, all fatigue vanishing. With a smile in his eyes, he kissed Bai Tang on the nose, then on his soft lips.

“Abu, I missed you~” His sweet, milky voice was full of endless affection.

Their foreheads pressed together, and the people coming in and out of the bar all glanced at them a few times.

So loving… That was what the passersby were thinking.

“I missed Tang Tang too.” With his omega in his arms, Jacob’s mood couldn’t be better.

Standing to the side, Warren felt a pang of envy. Compared to this affectionate couple, he was utterly single—and the contrast made his chest ache for no reason.

When they entered the private room and saw Sam hanging in midair, Bai Tang pouted and complained, “He said if I followed him, I’d live in comfort for life, never worry about anything, and that I should serve him well.”

Jacob’s eyes nearly burst into flames. Just this coward—and he dares set his sights on my Tang Tang?

“Woof woof woof…” Qiu’er and Xiao A rushed forward, barking at Sam nonstop, reminding Jacob that this fat, big-eared man not only had designs on Tang Tang, but had almost stripped them naked too. If he had gone any further, their master would’ve become who-knows-which-number mistress of this man.

The veins on the back of Jacob’s hand bulged. The corner of his lips curled subtly as he forced down his anger. Gently, he pushed Bai Tang toward the door. “Tang Tang, wait for me here. I’ll take care of things inside.”

Bai Tang nodded obediently. Qiu’er and Xiao A knew the fat man was doomed. They gave him a sympathetic glance before trotting out behind Bai Tang on their little short legs.

The private room door closed. Bai Tang found a seat in the corridor, sat down leisurely, and even wore a faint smile.

Having seen Jacob’s combat skills, Warren felt deep sympathy for the man inside. Of all people to provoke, he had chosen this walking calamity.

After a while, the bar manager appeared. A bartender followed behind, pointing at Bai Tang and whispering something into the manager’s ear.

The manager walked over with a friendly smile and extended his hand. “Hello, I’m the manager here, Lucas. I’m also Jacob’s friend. My bartender has terrible eyesight—he couldn’t even recognize our own people.”

Qiu’er used telepathy to speak to Bai Tang: “This man is the male lead’s friend. He can be trusted.”

Bai Tang finally showed a smile and extended his hand. “Hello, I’m Bai Tang.”

He gave a light shake and quickly let go.

When that fair, smooth hand slipped away, Lucas’s brows twitched ever so slightly. He spaced out for two seconds before returning to normal.

The little squirrel might not notice, but Warren—also an alpha—understood an alpha’s thoughts best. Since he had joined Jacob’s team, he felt it was his duty to help his brother guard his home turf.

Warren stood up, walked to Lucas, and reached out his hand. “Hello, I’m Warren. Jacob’s teammate.”

With the teenager blocked from view, Lucas felt a trace of displeasure, but he knew when to prioritize things. He lifted a polite smile. “Hello, I’m Lucas.”

Bai Tang was covered in Jacob’s scent. Even without Jacob personally stating it, Lucas knew the young man belonged to him.

He wasn’t without regret—after all, he hadn’t met the boy first. But he was also genuinely happy for Jacob; his close friend had finally found someone.

Jacob finished dealing with Sam and stepped out of the private room—only to be met with a big incoming hug.

He tilted his head aside and avoided Lucas, leaving Lucas to unexpectedly hug Warren instead, who had been about to enter the room to check the aftermath.

Warren immediately shoved the person clinging to him away. I’m straight. I only like gentle betas and omegas. Stinky alphas, don’t come near me.

Jacob took a wet wipe from his pocket and wiped his fingers one by one. Only then did he take Bai Tang’s hand, lift it to his lips, and kiss it lightly.

“I’m not interested in anyone else. Not even other alphas.”

Was he confessing his feelings?!

Bai Tang looked at the suddenly childlike Jacob and couldn’t help but laugh. How could his husband be so cute?

“I believe you~” Bai Tang leaned in and kissed Jacob directly on the lips, using action to express his happiness and trust.

The two didn’t even bother greeting anyone before they started showing off their love. Warren, at least, had seen it before. Lucas, however—he had never seen this version of Jacob. He was so shocked his mouth couldn’t close.

Only after the two finished their cuddling did Jacob remember to greet Lucas.

“This is Tang Tang—my beloved,” Jacob said, arm wrapped around Bai Tang and in a very good mood.

Bai Tang openly acknowledged it. “Abu is my partner.” Not a hint of hesitation.

Lucas stayed stunned for a long moment. Finally, he punched Jacob’s shoulder. “Unbelievable—you really did it.”

It was an alpha way of expressing goodwill. Bai Tang didn’t understand, but he knew one thing—his husband had just been hit.

Bai Tang pulled Jacob back and stepped forward to defend his husband.

“Try hitting Abu again! Go on—see if I don’t beat you until your own mother can’t recognize you.”

Lucas was momentarily startled by the aura Bai Tang suddenly released, then laughed. “Oh? You even know how to bare your claws.”

Jacob scooped Bai Tang back into his arms from behind. “I like it.”

“Fine, fine. As long as you like it. He’s not my partner anyway.” Lucas said the words lightly, but his tone definitely carried a hint of jealousy.

They pushed open the private room door. Sam had been cleaned up in a truly miserable state. Jacob quickly covered Bai Tang’s eyes, not wanting him to see something so dirty.

Lucas and Warren swallowed hard. Fortunately, they hadn’t stood against Jacob—or at least had chosen their allegiance fast enough.

During interrogation, Sam confessed his identity in exchange for his life. Though he was punished severely, he at least managed to survive.

Jacob turned to Lucas. “Contact the brothers. We need to move up the plan.”

If even Sam had appeared here, then the war between the Interstellar Alliance and the Empire was probably not far off.

When Jacob faked his death to leave the Empire, he planted a “time bomb”—a forged letter tossed into the Imperial general’s study, claiming that someone was committing treason and secretly communicating with the Alliance.

No ruler of any planet can tolerate someone eyeing the seat beneath them.

The commander of the Alliance was like this; the Empire’s monarch and its generals were the same. None of them were better than the others.

The pursuit unit was still sending soldiers nonstop. Although they had temporarily shaken off the chase, the bar could be searched at any moment. Jacob planned to leave as soon as possible.

Lucas went to arrange a private vessel. He had once been an interstellar pirate himself, but later wanted a peaceful life—washed his hands of the trade, and opened a bar on this small planet. With his influence, no one dared provoke him.

“Okay, I’ll handle it right now. Just wait.”

Among today’s interstellar pirates, Jacob’s faction was the strongest. Lucas didn’t care for fighting, but he definitely didn’t want to offend someone like him.

While Lucas went to make arrangements, Sam regained consciousness once midway.

He looked at Bai Tang and Jacob in terror, bursting into tears. His cowardly, pathetic appearance was sickening to watch.

“Please, I beg you, spare me! I—I didn’t know who you were and offended you. How much money do you want? I have money, I can give you all of it! Or do you want a government position? I know the Commander—he’s my brother! I can ask him to arrange a post for you. There’s plenty you can profit from…”

Bai Tang had originally thought Sam merely had issues with his personal conduct.

He never expected that for the sake of his own life, Sam would abandon all the civilians of the Interstellar Alliance without a second thought. In his eyes, other people were nothing but tools to exploit and squeeze dry.

Calling him human trash wouldn’t even be an exaggeration.

Bai Tang turned his head away—if he looked at Sam even a little longer, he felt he might throw up.

Seeing the boy’s face pale, Jacob’s eyes flashed with heartache.

He gently rubbed Bai Tang’s back, poured him a glass of warm water, and coaxed him into taking a few sips.

Warren, once loyal to the Alliance, couldn’t listen any longer. He punched Sam and knocked him out cold.
Finally, the room returned to peace.

Warren wiped his fist in disgust on the curtain. So these were the people I used to serve? No wonder I was “killed.” Greedy, selfish, and completely uncaring of the people.

Just as Lucas finished arranging the ship, the pursuers confirmed Jacob’s location and quickly surrounded the bar.

Although Lucas tried to block them, he was outnumbered. When Jacob exited through the back door, the soldiers caught sight of their targets and immediately began to chase.

Jacob jumped into the vehicle and fastened Bai Tang’s seatbelt. Warren dragged Sam into the back seat.

Seeing they hadn’t escaped yet, members of the inspection team threw themselves onto the hood of the car.

Jacob had never shown mercy to anyone except Bai Tang. He slammed on the gas without hesitation.
The car shot forward, and the person clinging to the hood couldn’t withstand the sudden acceleration—his grip loosened instantly. He rolled off the vehicle and tumbled across the ground for several meters before coming to a stop.

The extreme speed made Bai Tang’s stomach churn. A sourness rose in his throat; he wanted to vomit but forced himself not to.

He couldn’t distract Abu or cause him any trouble.

Qiu’er and Xiao A pressed themselves against him, one in front and one behind, rubbing their heads against his chest and back to comfort him and ease his discomfort.

This wasn’t an illness, and even healing functions wouldn’t help. For now, he simply had to endure it.

Fortunately, after shaking off the pursuers, Jacob slowed down. He switched to free-drive mode and opened the windows to let the car air out.

“Tang Tang, are you okay?” Jacob asked worriedly, gently patting Bai Tang’s back.

He shouldn’t have patted—because the moment he did, Bai Tang suddenly “waaah—” vomited right onto Jacob’s thigh.

“I—I didn’t mean to,” Bai Tang apologized, though he did feel much better after throwing up. At least the tightness in his chest was gone.

Jacob took some tissues and wiped the corner of Bai Tang’s mouth. “It’s fine as long as you got it out. Here, drink some water.”

He didn’t care about himself at all—his only concern was the boy.

This action earned quite a few points from Qiu’er. At the very least, Jacob was prioritizing Tang Tang first.
If he continued to always put Tang Tang before anything else, then Qiu’er wouldn’t target the male lead anymore.

As long as he kept Tang Tang first and made the female lead stay far away.
