Chapter 338 – Your Blood Is So Sweet – The Male Lead Becomes a Reserve Food Source (04)

All the vampires present could barely withstand the oppressive aura of the Prince.

Except for Adams, every vampire knelt before Bai Tang — the suppression of pureblood hierarchy was absolute.

Adams held out for a moment, but his trembling legs soon gave way.

With a thud, he fell to his knees.

“Y–Your… Your Highness…” The vampires all bowed their heads in submission to Bai Tang.

At that moment, the little squirrel, driven entirely by his bloodline instincts, stepped forward. He placed his foot on the back of Adams’s hand and pressed down slightly — a crisp crack sounded as he crushed Adams’s hand bones by sheer force.

“You wanted to drink my blood?”

It was still that familiar soft, childish voice — but it sent a shiver down everyone’s spine.

Adams trembled all over and lowered himself even further to the ground. “I… I wouldn’t dare.”
Even if the thought had crossed his mind, he would never dare admit it before the Prince.

The vampires who had attacked earlier were all of low rank — the so-called last generation of vampires, a classification that also included the one who had captured Bai Tang.

Bai Tang walked up to them, reached out, and ripped their hearts from their chests.

Their eyes widened in disbelief as they collapsed, unwilling even in death.

Cold, ruthless, hands dripping with blood — overwhelmingly powerful and untouchable.
That was how Bai Tang now appeared in the eyes of the vampires.

Qiu’er and Xiao A hid inside the small white room, not daring to make a sound, afraid that any noise might provoke Bai Tang. They only had to wait until his vampire bloodline completely stabilized — then Bai Tang would regain his former sanity. But not yet.

The systems were silent. Trey still hadn’t fully understood what had happened to Bai Tang — he only knew one thing: Tangtang had become a vampire.

He looked at the boy, whose temperament had changed completely, and said hoarsely, “Tang Tang.”

Bai Tang halted his massacre and turned around, blood-red eyes locking onto Trey.

In Bai Tang’s eyes, Trey was nothing more than food now — fresh food.

Trey was still injured, and the blood seeping from his wounds carried the faint scent of pine nuts. The delicate aroma curled into Bai Tang’s nose.

Bai Tang clutched his stomach, tilting his head slightly. His pale, delicate face looked almost innocently dazed.

He was hungry.

He wanted blood.

“Hungry…” the boy murmured to Trey.

“Come here. You can drink mine.”

In Trey’s mind, Bai Tang must have been bitten by a vampire — that was why he had become one of them.

Even so, the thought of killing Bai Tang never crossed Trey’s mind. Instead, a strange impulse rose within him — to keep Bai Tang, to feed him blood, to raise him by his side.

He drew a dagger and slit his own wrist. Fresh blood gushed out, the rich pine-nut aroma spreading through the air.

Bai Tang’s expression brightened with a pure, innocent smile. He ran over to Trey, lifted his arm, and began to lick the wound.

So tasty… so, so tasty…

Inside the little white room, Qiu’er watched the scene unfold and felt nothing but despair.

Tang Tang had now officially become a Vampire Prince — the future of this world was unimaginable.

Xiao A wrapped an arm around Qiu’er and said, “Since it’s already happened and can’t be changed, we might as well go with the flow. Our host has great fortune — nothing bad will happen easily.”

As the Fortune System, Xiao A could naturally sense the luck surrounding others. If Bai Tang hadn’t been so blessed, Xiao A wouldn’t have chosen him in the first place.

“I hope you’re right,” Qiu’er sighed helplessly.

Bai Tang drank mouthful after mouthful of blood, utterly content.

Because it was his first time feeding, his hunger was immense — drinking from a wrist alone couldn’t satisfy him.

He lifted his head, bared his fangs, and looked up at Trey with a pitiful expression. “Hungry… still hungry~”

Trey’s wrist was numb, and his face had gone pale from blood loss.

He smiled faintly and tugged open his collar. “Then drink here. Whatever you want, I’ll give you.”

Bai Tang beamed like a child, joyfully pouncing toward Trey’s neck.

His sharp fangs pierced flesh. Trey let out a muffled groan, his arms tightening around Bai Tang as his complexion grew even whiter.

The oppressive aura of the Prince spread outward — it was so strong that Butler Norman, who had just left Adams’s castle, could sense it from afar.

Norman hurried back. When he entered, he saw the boy he had been searching for hours — Bai Tang — feeding from a human’s neck.

Every other vampire was kneeling obediently, Adams included.

“Is that enough? Drink slowly… don’t rush,” Trey said weakly.

As Bai Tang drank, the crimson in his eyes gradually faded, returning to their original black. His own consciousness returned as well.

He released Trey and looked at his face — pale as paper — guilt flooding his heart. “Trey… I’m sorry. I couldn’t control myself…”

Seeing his beloved like this made Bai Tang’s chest ache; tears welled up in his clear eyes and began to fall.

Trey lifted a trembling hand and wiped the tears from Bai Tang’s face. “It’s alright. Are you still hungry? I can hold on a bit longer.”

His lover was always like this — giving unconditionally, even if it might cost him his life.

“I’m full, I’m full,” Bai Tang said quickly, hugging Trey tightly. “Don’t die, please… stay with me.”

Trey’s eyelids slowly drooped. He was exhausted — and so, so sleepy.

“Don’t die… please, don’t…” Bai Tang cried out, voice trembling.

He watched helplessly as Trey’s eyes slowly closed — he was slipping away.

Ignoring Qiu’er and Little A’s repeated warnings not to use his healing powers, Bai Tang unleashed his ability right there in front of all the vampires.

A radiant white light burst from his palms, and every vampire touched by its glow let out cries of agony.

To them, Bai Tang’s healing power was no different from the purest holy water of the Church.

But Bai Tang was a vampire himself — light-based healing magic was fundamentally at odds with his nature.

Pain coursed through his entire body as he summoned his ability.

Still, no matter how much it hurt, he gritted his teeth and endured it — because if he stopped, Trey would die.

Butler Norman was lucky enough to be standing behind the other vampires; the light barely reached him, though even so, his skin still tingled and burned faintly.

Inside the white room, Qiu’er and Xiao A shouted at Bai Tang to stop, but he paid them no mind — he even pushed more power into the spell.

After a long moment, color finally returned to Trey’s face. Qiu’er reported that the male lead was out of immediate danger, and only then did Bai Tang withdraw his power.

As soon as he stopped, his body went limp, drained of all strength. He collapsed against Trey’s chest.

“Don’t die… If you die, I’ll remarry…” Bai Tang mumbled weakly, trying to provoke a reaction.

“You’re not allowed to remarry. You can only marry me.”

Just as Bai Tang’s eyelids were about to close, that familiar voice sounded from above.

Trey supported Bai Tang’s body, pulling him gently from his embrace. “Tang Tang, did you really mean it? You said you’d marry me?”

He still couldn’t believe it — had he heard it right? The boy had actually said he wanted to be with him.

“I was lying. I didn’t say that…” Bai Tang muttered, turning his face away and burying it in Trey’s chest.

He’d actually been overheard — and questioned about it, no less. So embarrassing.

The little squirrel was blushing.

Trey’s heart overflowed with something warm — something called happiness.

Butler Norman stepped forward and said respectfully, “Your Highness, we should return.”

The few last-generation vampires lying dead on the ground were clearly the Prince’s doing.

Although Norman didn’t know exactly what had happened during his brief absence, he couldn’t let the Prince slaughter every vampire present. He had to persuade him to return to the castle first — then slowly calm His Highness’s fury.

Bai Tang lifted his head from Trey’s chest, his face pale, and nodded softly.

Before Bai Tang could speak, Trey suddenly grabbed his wrist.

“Can I go back with you?” he asked.

Bai Tang glanced at Butler Norman, who remained as respectful as ever.

Rationally speaking, Trey shouldn’t return to the castle with him — but emotionally, Bai Tang couldn’t bear to be separated from his lover.

He hesitated, and Trey continued softly, “If you get hungry, you can drink my blood again. It’s your favorite — pine nut flavor.”

Understanding dawned on Butler Norman.

So that was why the Prince had refused to eat or awaken his bloodline earlier — the food hadn’t suited his taste.

He gave Trey a few more curious glances. This human might actually be useful — bringing him back to raise as reserve food for the Prince didn’t sound like a bad idea. That way, His Highness could drink whenever he pleased.

With that thought in mind, Butler Norman said, “Your Highness, why not bring him along? There are too many vampires here — if he stays, this human won’t survive.”

Bai Tang caught the unspoken meaning in Norman’s words. Seeing the hopeful look in Trey’s eyes, he nodded slowly.

“Alright then. Let’s go home~”

“Yes… home.” A smile curved Trey’s lips.

He had no parents, and he’d always lived in a small room inside the Church — a place that was merely somewhere to rest.

But now, wherever Tang Tang was, that was home.

Protectively holding Bai Tang in his arms, Trey leapt past the surrounding vampires and climbed into the carriage that Butler Norman had arrived in.

Since there was a fragile human inside, Norman drove carefully, slowing the horses to keep the ride as smooth as possible.

The Prince’s castle was quite some distance from the Duke’s estate. It took Norman more than three hours of travel before they finally arrived.

Trey carried Bai Tang out of the carriage in his arms, showing not the slightest fear of Norman — even though the butler himself was a vampire.

“Excuse me,” Trey said calmly, “where is Tang Tang’s room? He needs to rest.”

Norman led the way, guiding Trey through the corridors to Bai Tang’s chambers.

The room was almost completely dark. Heavy curtains blocked out all light, and in the center stood an exquisitely crafted coffin.

Vampires feared sunlight — a coffin, sealed on all sides, was the ideal place to rest. Almost every vampire preferred one.

Trey didn’t mind. He gently placed Bai Tang inside, then climbed in after him.

The coffin was spacious enough to hold two people.

When Butler Norman saw Trey showing such casual familiarity toward the Prince, his face immediately darkened.

“Commoner, you’re overstepping your bounds,” he scolded coldly.

If not for the Prince’s clear fondness for Trey, Norman might have already disposed of him.

Bai Tang forced himself to stay awake and spoke softly, “Butler Norman, you may go now. Trey will sleep with me for a while~”

As he spoke, the young man yawned, tears welling in the corners of his eyes from exhaustion.

He was so sleepy — all he wanted now was to hold Trey and rest.

Since the Prince himself had said so, Butler Norman had no choice but to obey.

He bowed respectfully to Bai Tang, then quietly left the room, closing the door behind him.

Bai Tang hugged Trey’s arm and murmured in a soft, childish voice, “So sleepy~”

“Then sleep,” Trey said gently, helping him lie down. “I won’t go anywhere.”

So much had happened in a single day, and both of them were physically and mentally drained.
Trey wrapped his arms around Bai Tang, adjusting their positions so they could rest comfortably together.
Holding his beloved in his arms, he drifted into sleep alongside him.

Author’s Note:

Bai Tang: “Trey, Trey! You’re my food. If you don’t behave, I’ll bite you~” (bares fangs to scare him)

Trey (smiling indulgently, offering his neck): “Go ahead, bite~”
