Chapter 155 – The Wolf King’s Naughty Little Wife – The Most Innocent Male Supporting Character (01)

Turs and Bai Tang had been married for many years, yet they still had no children. Their neighbors, Sade and Meg, were already holding their second child and joyfully came over to show off to Turs.

Madam Walker was terribly anxious and had the doctors give her son and daughter-in-law a full examination. It turned out the issue stemmed from a problem Bai Tang experienced during a fever in adulthood, leaving behind lasting complications—it would be difficult for him to have children.

In the interstellar era, people still placed great importance on offspring, especially among large families. Madam Walker wasn’t sure how to feel. She truly liked Bai Tang, but if the Walker family line ended with them, the elders wouldn’t be able to accept it.

Looking at Bai Tang, who sweetly called her “Mom,” Madam Walker clenched her teeth and made a decision—she and her husband would have another child. Turs would absolutely never agree to a divorce, and she couldn’t bear to let Bai Tang live a lonely, miserable life. Since she was still young and well-maintained, she believed she could have a second child.

A year later, the Walker family welcomed a new addition—Turs’s younger brother was born.

Mr. Walker, who became a father in his later years, was overjoyed and constantly doted on his wife.

Holding the tiny, soft baby in his arms, Bai Tang’s heart melted.

He gently touched his own flat stomach and actually began to feel a little hopeful.

“Qiu’er, will I be able to have a child one day too?”

“That depends on fate—and on the body constitution of the original host you’re possessing,” the system replied enviously. It really wanted to raise a child too.

Previously, Bai Tang had used a store potion to transform his mermaid tail into legs. When he turned 150, the side effects began to show. It was a short-lived beauty exchanged for lifespan.

As Bai Tang lay dying, Turs held him tightly and wept.

“Don’t cry. You look so ugly when you cry. Everyone dies eventually,” Bai Tang said, his mind filled with memories of all the kindness Turs had shown him in this world. In this lifetime, he was content.

“Okay, I won’t cry… I won’t…” Turs tightly gripped Bai Tang’s hand.

“Then… I’m going…”

The mermaid’s eyes slowly closed, and the hand that was entwined with Turs’s lost its strength…

[Points settlement: 1000 points awarded for separating the male and female leads. No bonus tasks completed, 0 points.]

“Tang Tang, we’re back! That’s eight worlds completed now. There’s a lucky prize draw! Do you want to spin the prize wheel now?”

At some point, a colorful wheel appeared in the space. The system floated over—it was a lucky wheel with rewards that changed at random.

“Alright,” Bai Tang nodded and reached out to spin the wheel.

“Click-click-click—” Each segment it passed made a crisp clicking sound. As the clicks slowed, the pointer landed on a yellow section labeled: [Only Transformation Ability.]

Bai Tang was a little squirrel by nature and quite fond of his original form. He had gained the ability to transform back in the second world. To him, this prize was rather underwhelming.

After thinking for a moment, Bai Tang asked, “Can the reward be gifted to someone else?”

The system thought Bai Tang wanted to give the reward to the male lead. Though it was reluctant, it still answered honestly, “Yes, it can be gifted to anyone. But if you give it to someone else, the transformation form can only be one—once fixed, it can’t be changed.”

“That’s fine. As long as there’s a form, it’s enough.” Bai Tang’s eyes curved into a smile. “I want to give the [Transformation Ability] to Qiu’er.”

The moment Bai Tang finished speaking, the system’s round body suddenly emitted a blinding light, and its shape seemed to stretch and elongate… but then, nothing else happened.

When the light faded, the system looked exactly the same as before—except now, it had a tail.

“What’s going on?” Bai Tang asked in confusion.

The system was on the verge of tears. “All the energy I had in the last world was used up roasting bugs. I don’t have enough left to fully transform.”

The system whimpered. It hadn’t even recovered from the surprise of receiving a gift from Tang Tang before it was thrown into the depths of sorrow.

“Well, alright then.” Bai Tang tugged at the system’s tail. It was actually kind of fun—like a little tadpole.

“Ahh~ Tang Tang, how can you touch my butt…” The system shyly covered its face.

Startled, Bai Tang let go. “I-I didn’t mean to.”

How could he have forgotten that right under the tail was a tiny butt? After traveling through so many worlds and receiving a higher education, Bai Tang felt deeply apologetic. “I’ll take responsibility for you.”

“Ah, does Tangtang mean…” The system blushed even more, its whole round body turning red.

“When I have enough points, I’ll summon a system from another world and find a partner for you,” Bai Tang said sincerely. He felt he was truly the best host ever. Now that he was happy, he couldn’t let Qiu’er stay single.

The system wagged its tail excitedly. “Then Tang Tang, you have to keep your word! When I can finally transform, I’m going to find the most beautiful partner!”

“Mm-hmm.” Bai Tang patted the system on the head

“Is Tang Tang well rested? I want to start the next mission to gather energy…” Although the system felt embarrassed urging Tang Tang, it was really looking forward to using its body.

“Alright, initiate the teleportation.”

This world was set in a beastman universe. The story followed a lively and adorable modern girl named Ran Xiayue, who transmigrated into a primitive beastman world. There, she and the male lead, Kyle Murphy, led the beastman tribe to prosperity, defeated the antagonist, and eventually lived happily ever after.

At first glance, the summary made it sound like an inspirational tale—but a closer look told a different story.

The beastman world was divided into three types: beastmen, females, and sub-beastmen. Beastmen and sub-beastmen shared physical traits with modern-day males, while females resembled modern-day females.

Beastmen possessed great strength and had the ability to transform into their animal forms. Sub-beastmen were fewer in number, couldn’t shapeshift, and had certain animal traits based on their race—but their ability to reproduce was very low. Females were the rarest, completely humanoid, the weakest in strength, and mainly responsible for reproduction. Ran Xiayue had transmigrated into the body of one such female.

At first, Ran Xiayue was terrified by the blood-covered, raw-meat-eating beastmen. In search of a way home, she wandered the forest alone and accidentally encountered a wild beast. She was saved by the male lead, Kyle Murphy, who was returning to the tribe after a trial.

After confirming there was no way back to her original world, Ran Xiayue chose to stay and live in the Winged Wolf Tribe. She began collecting ingredients, storing food… and brought many changes to the tribe. Because of this, the people of the Winged Wolf Tribe were extremely grateful to her. Many beastmen fell in love with her, and Ran Xiayue enjoyed being surrounded by handsome men. She delayed choosing a partner because her ideal mate was the tribe’s strongest warrior—Kyle Murphy.

But Kyle Murphy remained indifferent to both sub-beastmen and females alike, never showing affection toward anyone.

Wherever Ran Xiayue went, she was admired and adored, which made her feel increasingly smug. On one of her outings, she got carried away and stole an egg from the Snake Tribe out of curiosity. On her way back to the tribe, the egg accidentally cracked. Out of fear, she smashed the newly hatched, still-weak baby snake with a stone and killed it.

The Snake Tribe, trying to retrieve their young, pursued Ran Xiayue all the way to the Winged Wolf Tribe—leading to a major conflict between the two tribes.

Ran Xiayue was captured by the Snake Tribe and questioned about the missing snake egg. When they found out the egg was gone, the Snake Tribe became furious and wanted to kill her. In order to save her life, Ran Xiayue seduced the Snake Tribe’s chief. Since she was going to marry him, the tribe reluctantly spared her life so she could help reproduce for the Snake Tribe.

Kyle Murphy led his people to rescue Ran Xiayue, resulting in a fierce battle between the two tribes with heavy casualties. The Snake Tribe was utterly defeated in the end.

Eventually, Ran Xiayue returned to the Winged Wolf Tribe and fulfilled her wish of marrying Kyle Murphy. They lived happily together.

At that point in the story, the Snake Tribe’s chief was truly pitiful—deceived emotionally, having lost his wife and many of his people.

But Ran Xiayue herself was equally unpleasant. Although she found supplies and shared them with the Winged Wolf Tribe, she refused to teach them how to preserve food for the winter. Instead, she used her knowledge of techniques like meat preservation to pressure Kyle Murphy into marrying her.

Years later, after giving birth to several children for Kyle Murphy and finally feeling a sense of belonging in the tribe, she slowly began teaching the others how to preserve food. Over time, Kyle Murphy, after spending so much time with her, gradually fell in love with her and became completely devoted.

As for Bai Tang, his identity was that of a squirrel-type sub-beastman who had lost both his parents and lived alone behind the Winged Wolf Tribe.

Squirrel sub-beastmen could eat meat but preferred vegetables. The changes Ran Xiayue brought to the tribe had little effect on his life, but he silently harbored a crush on Kyle Murphy.

Years ago, when Bai Tang and his parents were moving through the forest, they were attacked by a wild beast. His squirrel-beast father died in battle, and his mother was trampled to death while protecting him.

Fortunately, Kyle Murphy, who was out hunting, happened to pass by. Bai Tang survived by sheer luck, but his left foot was injured. Seeing how pitifully he cried, Kyle Murphy brought him back to the Winged Wolf Tribe, and since then, Bai Tang had been living alone on the mountainside behind the tribe.

He didn’t appear much in the main storyline. His first appearance was when Ran Xiayue, hungry while trying to find a way back home, wandered to the back mountain and stole Bai Tang’s food stores—only to be caught by him on the spot.

The second time, Bai Tang saw Kyle Murphy with Ran Xiayue and recognized her as the thief from before. Thinking he couldn’t let the tribe be deceived, he went to tell the chieftain—but no one believed him. Ran Xiayue even twisted the truth and framed him, forcing him to return to the back mountain in humiliation.

In the end, during the battle between the Snake Tribe and the Winged Wolf Tribe over the snake egg, Ran Xiayue, while fleeing to the back mountain, casually pushed Bai Tang toward the pursuing Snake Tribe. He died from their venomous bite.

This must be the most innocent male supporting character in history.

Just thinking about the Snake Tribe opening their bloody jaws sent a shiver down Bai Tang’s spine. He wasn’t afraid of snakes per se, but their bodies were cold and utterly lacking warmth.

After the teleportation, Bai Tang looked around his home. It was a hollowed-out space within a giant tree. There wasn’t much in the way of furnishings—just several layers of leaves spread on the ground to serve as his bed. In one corner, there were some stored provisions like pinecones. Given that this was a primitive beastman world, such a simple setup was only to be expected.

Bai Tang asked the system to bring out a mirror. In this life, he had reverted to his squirrel characteristics—his figure was small and delicate, his features soft and fair with rosy lips and white teeth. Fluffy ears sat atop his head, and a large bushy tail extended from his spine. He looked undeniably adorable. The only downside was a slight limp in his left foot when he walked.

Because of this, the original Bai Tang had always considered himself disabled, which made him very self-conscious and afraid of other people’s judgmental stares. Although he had a crush on Kyle Murphy, he didn’t dare spend much time in the tribe, which led to most members of the Winged Wolf Tribe being unfamiliar with him.

As for Kyle Murphy, after rescuing Bai Tang and bringing him back to the tribe, he had soon gone off for training again. By now, it had been three years since then. It wouldn’t be long before Kyle Murphy returned with the female lead, right?
