Ran Xiayue was captured by the Snake Tribe and questioned about the missing snake egg. When they found out the egg was gone, the Snake Tribe became furious and wanted to kill her. In order to save her life, Ran Xiayue seduced the Snake Tribe’s chief. Since she was going to marry him, the tribe reluctantly spared her life so she could help reproduce for the Snake Tribe.
Kyle Murphy led his people to rescue Ran Xiayue, resulting in a fierce battle between the two tribes with heavy casualties. The Snake Tribe was utterly defeated in the end.
Eventually, Ran Xiayue returned to the Winged Wolf Tribe and fulfilled her wish of marrying Kyle Murphy. They lived happily together.
At that point in the story, the Snake Tribe’s chief was truly pitiful—deceived emotionally, having lost his wife and many of his people.
But Ran Xiayue herself was equally unpleasant. Although she found supplies and shared them with the Winged Wolf Tribe, she refused to teach them how to preserve food for the winter. Instead, she used her knowledge of techniques like meat preservation to pressure Kyle Murphy into marrying her.
Years later, after giving birth to several children for Kyle Murphy and finally feeling a sense of belonging in the tribe, she slowly began teaching the others how to preserve food. Over time, Kyle Murphy, after spending so much time with her, gradually fell in love with her and became completely devoted.
As for Bai Tang, his identity was that of a squirrel-type sub-beastman who had lost both his parents and lived alone behind the Winged Wolf Tribe.
Squirrel sub-beastmen could eat meat but preferred vegetables. The changes Ran Xiayue brought to the tribe had little effect on his life, but he silently harbored a crush on Kyle Murphy.
Years ago, when Bai Tang and his parents were moving through the forest, they were attacked by a wild beast. His squirrel-beast father died in battle, and his mother was trampled to death while protecting him.

The second time, Bai Tang saw Kyle Murphy with Ran Xiayue and recognized her as the thief from before. Thinking he couldn’t let the tribe be deceived, he went to tell the chieftain—but no one believed him. Ran Xiayue even twisted the truth and framed him, forcing him to return to the back mountain in humiliation.
In the end, during the battle between the Snake Tribe and the Winged Wolf Tribe over the snake egg, Ran Xiayue, while fleeing to the back mountain, casually pushed Bai Tang toward the pursuing Snake Tribe. He died from their venomous bite.
This must be the most innocent male supporting character in history.
Just thinking about the Snake Tribe opening their bloody jaws sent a shiver down Bai Tang’s spine. He wasn’t afraid of snakes per se, but their bodies were cold and utterly lacking warmth.
