He had heard about Tian Lingxue being bullied at school, but he had been too preoccupied with family affairs to pay attention to such minor matters. Besides, Tian Lingxue had handled it well on her own.

Owen scoffed, “I just don’t want you ruining the school’s reputation. Here, take your jacket, you d*mn woman.”
“Who are you calling a damn woman?!”
Owen and Tian Lingxue bickered, full of energy.
Bai Tang finally relaxed, his heart settling. As long as she was okay.
“Tangtang, are you in the dorm?” The deep, husky voice belonged to Hudson.
Bai Tang gripped his phone tighter. That sour, aching feeling returned. After a long silence, he finally replied, “Mm, I’m here.”
Only God knew how much Hudson had wanted to unleash his violent side when he arrived and saw Tian Lingxue getting beaten. If Bai Tang had been there too… he didn’t dare imagine it.
