Quick Transmigration: Breaking Up That Official CP – Chapter 123

Chapter 123 – Shh, He Found You – The Game Begins (The Author Is Already Bald) (01)

[Points settlement: 1000 points for breaking up the male and female leads, 400 points for preventing the world from collapsing.]

After the system’s mechanical voice finished summarizing the points, Bai Tang couldn’t wait to move on to the next world.

“Wait a minute, Tang Tang,” the system called out to him. “The difficulty level of the next world has suddenly increased.”

The system had a habit of reviewing the world’s plot before entering. Just one glance this time nearly scared it half to death.

On a black background cover floated a pair of wolf-like eyes, with the male and female leads supporting each other below them.

This world seemed different from the others—it had a higher danger rating, even more than the apocalypse world.

The black, gray, and red cover felt oppressive, making one want to escape, just like the characters on it.

Bai Tang pressed his lips together and said nothing.

The system also sensed that this world wasn’t going to be good. It was just about to suggest Bai Tang use his points to switch worlds when Bai Tang opened the book titled Shh, He Found You.

This world was about a survival story—not the usual kind, nor the nerve-wracking apocalyptic type—but it was still a deadly game. More precisely, it was a real-life version of the game Werewolf.

The male lead, Yu Hongbo, and the female lead, Yu Yi, were seniors at Z University, about to graduate. After waking up from a hangover following their graduation party, they found themselves in a luxurious, unfamiliar villa. When they tried to leave, they discovered they were on a deserted island.

Their only way out was to participate in a group game called Shh, He Found You—a real-life version of Werewolf. Only the surviving winners would be allowed to leave the island.

The game would last for a week. The participants included not only the male lead’s classmates but also many others.

In this game of Werewolf, the male side character Bai Tang happened to draw a werewolf card. The female lead also received a werewolf card, while the male lead got a villager card. Regardless of whether one was a werewolf or a villager, to win and escape, the goal was to identify the opposing faction and vote to kill them. The deaths in this game were real—gruesomely real.

Since the male and female leads were on opposing sides, one of them had to die. However, Yu Yi liked Yu Hongbo and couldn’t bring herself to kill him. Throughout the game, she had been taking care of the timid Bai Tang, and as a result, Bai Tang developed feelings for her.

As the number of survivors dwindled, Bai Tang wanted to escape with Yu Yi and proposed killing the male lead, a villager. But Yu Yi refused.

So, during the voting round, Bai Tang tried to manipulate the situation by accusing the male lead, Yu Hongbo, of being a werewolf. However, Yu Hongbo’s sharp logic dismantled Bai Tang’s claims, leaving him speechless. In the end, the group voted to exile Bai Tang, resulting in his death.

Eventually, only a handful of people were left. When all the werewolves were dead except Yu Yi, Yu Hongbo convinced the witch to poison her—then immediately saved her. When the game organizers sent a helicopter to pick up the survivors, he launched a counterattack. In the end, only three people made it off the island.

Out of ten participants, only three survived. The danger level of this game spoke for itself. The person who got the witch card was simply lucky—and managed to survive only by closely following the right steps. Otherwise, they would have been eliminated early too.

“Tang Tang, how about we choose another world instead?” the system suggested. “This world isn’t just dangerous—it also has major restrictions. If you choose it, I won’t be able to go with you.”

The restrictions included the system being unable to accompany its host, and Bai Tang himself would be heavily limited: he couldn’t transform into a little squirrel, couldn’t use his pouch space, and would essentially be an ordinary person. In such a perilous world, where anyone could be out to harm you, that was incredibly risky.

What was even more critical was that Bai Tang’s mission was to disrupt the romance between the male and female leads, which would inevitably cause unpredictable changes to the world’s storyline. Just like in the previous worlds, the female leads had all turned into villains.

“No, I’m going!” Bai Tang gripped the book tightly, his voice firm.

“But…”

“Qiu’er, I know that world is dangerous. You’re worried about me, but… I want to find him.”

I want to find him…

Bai Tang’s words echoed through the system’s space. The system recalled the final glimpse from the last world—the two of them holding hands, refusing to let go even in death—and fell silent.

“Qiu’er, just let me go…”

“But… if you die before completing the mission, I don’t know what kind of terrible consequences there might be. It could be really scary,” the system tried one last time to persuade him.

“I’m not afraid, Qiu’er. I’ve memorized all the skills and knowledge you taught me. I’m not afraid.”

“…Alright. I don’t know how the plot will change either, but you must be careful. If the mission fails, then it fails—but Tang Tang, you must survive and leave that game. Worst case, we can just go to a punishment world afterward.”

The system took a deep breath and exchanged points for a protective charm.

“I don’t know if this charm will be useful in the next world, but you have to carry it with you.”

The system carefully instructed him and hung the charm around Bai Tang’s neck.

“Okay, okay. Qiu’er, wait for me to come back.” Bai Tang held the charm tightly and promised the system before turning and jumping into the teleportation array.

When Bai Tang woke up, he was shocked to find himself wearing a little dress. He panicked—wasn’t the male side character supposed to be a guy? Had the plot twisted and turned him into a girl?

He quickly checked his body—thank goodness, he was still the same handsome male squirrel spirit.

He walked over to a mirror. His appearance in this world was exceptionally attractive. He had a delicate, androgynous face, and his round, almond-shaped eyes sparkled with clarity, giving off a pure, sweet, and innocent vibe—someone who looked completely harmless.

Bai Tang tilted his head, and the “girl” in the mirror mirrored his movement, looking adorably dazed and cute.

He tugged awkwardly at the frilly Lolita dress he was wearing—he really wasn’t used to it. Opening the original host’s wardrobe, he found not a single piece of men’s clothing. The only thing that could remotely be considered male attire was a pair of boxer briefs at the very bottom of the closet.

Discouraged, Bai Tang slumped into a chair. Just then, the computer on the desk turned on by itself—pre-programmed by the original host.

The original host was a small-time livestreamer who liked making handcrafted items like silk flowers and beaded bracelets. Because he was afraid of being called a pervert, he dressed in Lolita-style outfits meant for girls. And surprisingly, with that look—delicate, alluring, and visually appealing—his viewer count skyrocketed.

As he gained more and more popularity, Bai Tang started to panic and wanted to reveal his true gender. But by chance, he saw viewers discussing how another streamer who had cross-dressed as a female lead was exposed and later stalked and killed by a crazed fan. The truth he was about to speak died in his throat—and stayed there until now.

It was currently 8:00 PM. Bai Tang’s scheduled livestream time was 8:15.

The problem was—Bai Tang didn’t know how to do any of those crafts. And the thought of having to show up in front of everyone wearing that frilly outfit made him feel extremely awkward.

But he had no choice. The original host came from a poor family, had never gone to college, and livestreaming was his only source of income—especially through his crafting streams.

Gritting his teeth, Bai Tang forced himself online, nervously fidgeting as the stream started.

“H-hi everyone…”

Bai Tang’s voice was quite unique—soft, fluffy, like cotton candy. It was completely androgynous, like that of a prepubescent child. No one could tell whether it belonged to a boy or girl. It was even more popular than the cutesy voice streamers next door.

[“Good evening, Tang Tang! Your voice sounds a little off—are you catching a cold?”] a concerned viewer asked.

“Y-yeah, I’m not feeling well. I can’t stream tonight,” Bai Tang replied, following the lead of that helpful viewer. He even coughed a few times at the end to make it more convincing.

[“Then Tang Tang, get some rest quickly.”]

[“Yeah, your health comes first.”]

[“You can stream anytime—just go buy some cold medicine and sleep early…”]

The chat lit up with comments, each viewer chiming in with concern. Their kind words touched Bai Tang’s heart.

“Then I’ll log off first. Bye, everyone.”

Bai Tang shut down the computer and let out a long sigh of relief.

The clock on the desk ticked away—tick, tick, tick. It was already 8:30, and the mall hadn’t closed yet. Bai Tang grabbed his wallet and got ready to go buy some men’s clothes.

Although the Lolita dress was cute and looked nice, wearing it just felt… off.

The avenue outside was empty. Streetlights stood every few meters, casting bright pools of light along the straight road.

Bai Tang couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was watching him. But whenever he turned around, there was nothing there. He was the only one on this road.

It’s just my imagination, he told himself. There are no ghosts in this world—only the dangers of the werewolf game.

He reassured himself and picked up the pace.

His head was lowered when he suddenly noticed an extra shadow appear behind his own. Before he could even turn around to scream, he felt a sharp pain in his neck—and everything went black.

When he woke up again, it was already daylight.

In a luxurious but messy living room, unconscious people were sprawled across the floor. Bai Tang grew nervous and quietly backed into a corner, curling up against the wall.

“Ugh~”

Someone let out the first groan, and then others started stirring, slowly waking up.

“Where… are we?”

“Come on, drink some more!”

“Hey, wake up—we’ve been kidnapped or something.”

“What…?”

Before the group could fully grasp what was going on, a giant display mounted on the wall suddenly lit up. On it appeared a table with cards from the game Werewolf laid out.

A distorted voice came through the speakers:

[Welcome to the game. I will now explain the rules.]

“What rules?! Where are we? Let us go back!”

“Yeah! Who wants to play this stupid game—”

But the voice ignored their protests and continued on coldly.

[There are 22 participants in total. Each of you will receive a role card. Roles include: Werewolf, Guardian, Witch, Seer, Cupid, Hunter, and Villager…]

The screen displayed the rules as the voice went on. Most people didn’t take it seriously—until one person, fed up with the droning instructions, muttered, “I want to go home,” and opened the villa door—only to be instantly shot dead by a trap on the wall.

The room fell silent.

As they stared at the fresh blood spreading across the floor, everyone finally realized—
this was no joke.

[Due to a participant being disqualified for violating the rules, the game will now restart. The new game duration is two weeks, and the total number of players has been adjusted to twenty-one…]

Everyone listened to the rules on the screen with trembling fear.

“Alright, each of you will find your identity card in your own room. Enjoy the game!”

The screen went black. The living room remained deathly silent.

“There’s no way he was serious… right?”

“What do you think? That guy’s still lying there.”

None of them had ever seen a dead person before. Faced with this situation, panic spread through the group.

The male lead, Yu Hongbo, was the first to regain his composure. He counted the people—some panicked, some questioning, some silent—and no matter how he counted, there were only twenty.

Yu Hongbo frowned deeply. Where’s the last person?

Yu Yi pointed to an inconspicuous corner and said, “Over there.”

Following her finger, Yu Hongbo spotted a small piece of red fabric peeking out from the shadows.

He walked over and saw a girl in a red dress curled up in the corner, her head buried in her knees, her body trembling slightly—clearly terrified.

Well, who wouldn’t be scared? A person who was alive just moments ago was now lying dead, not even breathing.

“Hi, my name is Yu Yi. What’s your name?”

Yu Yi was the first to speak. Girls tended to communicate better with each other.

Bai Tang clutched his stomach, which was twisting in pain. This body wasn’t very healthy to begin with, and now, after going eighteen hours without food, his stomach was starting to rebel.

He raised his pale face. “I… I…”

Yu Hongbo’s pupils dilated. For some reason, the sight of Bai Tang’s sickly expression made his heart clench painfully.

He pushed Yu Yi aside, sat down beside Bai Tang, and very naturally pulled him into his arms. Taking off his own shoes and socks, he began massaging an acupressure point on Bai Tang’s foot called the Neiting point.

Author’s Note:

The inspiration came from The Werewolf Game. Originally, I wanted to write something like A Nightmare on Elm Street, but as I started thinking through the plot… I scared myself before I even began writing. I admit it, I’m a coward.

This world’s storyline ended up so tangled that I confused even myself. It made me want to tear my hair out. So, dear readers, please don’t approach this with rigorous logic to try and piece together clues—I might not even know what I’m writing sometimes. Just promise me this: don’t flame me (╥﹏╥). Just enjoy the sweetness of the story and that’s enough.
