Group Pet Eldest Lady, She Just Wants To Be A Salted Fish – Chapter 99 Part 2

Chapter 99 Part 2 (Ruan Yōu and Fu Jiazhan) 一 Fu Jiazhan: “I’m in love”

He slept restlessly throughout the night. At 6:30 the next morning, he was awakened by a very gentle vibration.

【Three WeChat notifications】

Fu Jiazhan rubbed his eyes lightly and, in a daze, opened WeChat.

Upon seeing who the sender was, he woke up instantly.

【Fat Cat: I had a dream】

Ruan Yōu draped a coat over herself, half lying on the bed, and earnestly typed on the keyboard.

【In the dream, you were strangely distant, and I woke up inexplicably】

【Big Cutie: What’s wrong with me.】

Ruan Yōu bit her lip, her hair disheveled and falling over her shoulders. Some strands occasionally blocked her eyes, but she didn’t care. Pouting, she continued to type on the keyboard earnestly and slowly.

【Fat Cat: In the dream, you kept walking ahead, and I was behind you. You always ignored me and kept going farther away.】

As if…

He was mad at her.

Ruan Yōu’s face twisted into a frown, feeling an inexplicable panic.

This kind of panic had been hidden in the depths of her heart and had never disappeared since her brother asked her that question.

On one hand, she worried about deceiving her brother and him being upset when he found out; on the other hand, she felt uncomfortable about neglecting Fu Jiazhan.

After sending the message, the chat paused for a moment.

Ruan Yōu turned off her phone and leaned on the bed in silence, holding the phone against her head and starting to think wildly again.

She could feel the trembling anxiety and worry in her heart.

She was afraid that she wouldn’t handle it well, making both her brother and Fu Jiazhan unhappy.

Concealment was like a thorn, firmly embedded in the depths of her heart.

A “Bzz” vibration shook her forehead.

It was Fu Jiazhan’s reply.

The content was somewhat strange.

【What time is it in the dream?】

【Fat Cat: At night】

【Fat Cat: It’s so dark, I went to find you, and you ignored me. I was almost scared to death】

The tone carried a slight accusation and grievance, along with undisclosed worries and fears.

Not sure if she was afraid he would ignore her or if she was afraid of the darkness at night.

【Big Cutie: That’s right】

Ruan Yōu frowned, just as she was puzzled, two small white boxes appeared in the chat window.

【Big Cutie: At that time, I was thinking of you.】

【Big Cutie: I want to come see you.】

The negative emotions brought by the nightmare disappeared in an instant.

Her heart felt immersed in honey, sweet enough to make joy seep from the corners of her mouth and eyes.

Ruan Yōu pursed her lips, quietly holding her phone and smiling.

“Knock, knock,” two very light knocks sounded.

At the same time, another message appeared in the chat box.

【I’ve arrived now.】

Ruan Yōu’s heart trembled, and after regaining her senses, she immediately rolled out of bed, kicked on her slippers, and ran to the door. She opened it, leaving a small gap, with her hand on the door frame, carefully peering outside through the opening.

Outside the door.

Fu Jiazhan’s figure was tall and slender. He lowered his head slightly, his forehead resting on hers. His breath was warm and his breathing was very deep. His voice was very soft:

“It’s me, the one from your dreams.”

Ruan Yōu’s face blushed slightly, trembling, she moved her head away without speaking. Before she could speak, she felt a warm, gentle touch on the back of her hand.

Before she could react, he held her hand, opened the door, and pulled her into his embrace.

The warm scent of wood mixed with the faint fragrance of daisies.

Ruan Yōu’s breath quickened, her forehead was pressed against a warm spot, and by her ears, his steady and strong heartbeat blew in, making her uncomfortable with itching and heat in her earlobes.

The door clicked shut.

“Don’t be afraid.” Fu Jiazhan’s voice was very low, his warm fingertips gently stroking the softness of her hair. The tingling sensation felt like an electric current trembling in her blood.

Uncomfortably, she shook her head, slightly struggling and said, “I’m not afraid.”

Fu Jiazhan chuckled.

Laughter emanated from his chest, against her ears, reaching into her heart.

Ruan Yōu angrily hammered his shoulder.

“No laughing allowed.”

“Okay.” Fu Jiazhan reached out to hold her hand against his chest, stubbornly intertwining each finger one by one, feeling the delicacy of her fingertips and the fine sweat in her palm.

“It’s me who’s afraid.” Fu Jiazhan said softly.

Warm breath brushed against her hair, the gentle warmth intertwined in her mind, and Ruan Yōu, who had just calmed down, was defeated again.

Lifting her gaze, she could see his slightly rolling Adam’s apple.

Further up, there was a perfect profile with a slightly upturned corner of the lips.

Ruan Yōu gently moved her little head, rubbing against him, surrounded by a warm and captivating scent.

It was now her favorite fragrance.

Her heart gradually settled.

Ruan Yōu obediently leaned against him, muttering after a while, “I’m a little scared.”

Fu Jiazhan: “Hmm.”

“Scared of what?”

His voice was gentle, carrying a hint of coaxing.

“I ignored you all day yesterday, and you seemed unhappy when you were on the boat,” Ruan Yōu whispered with a muffled voice. “I was afraid you would ignore me like in a dream.”

Fu Jiazhan recalled and chuckled softly, “No, I wasn’t unhappy.”

He pinched her delicate and fair hand, loosening each finger, hooking her pinky finger.

Ruan Yōu felt a bit ticklish, subconsciously trying to pull her hand back, but he caught it again.

Fu Jiazhan let her go and lowered his head.

Foreheads pressed together.

His breath was warm, and Ruan Yōu could see the glint in his eyes and the slight trembling of his eyelashes, the delicate cheeks, and the lightly red lips.

She uncomfortably shifted her gaze away and asked, feigning composure, “So, what’s on your mind?”

Fu Jiazhan chuckled softly.

His voice, slow and gentle, was like setting off fireworks in her ears一tingling. She blushed and gave him a shy glare.

Fu Jiazhan continued to smile.

“I wasn’t unhappy,” his breath flowed between their noses.

“I was just thinking,” Fu Jiazhan said softly, intertwining his fingers with hers. “I was thinking about how to make you stop feeling so scared.”

Ruan Yōu pursed her lips, blushing as she asked, “Did you think about it?”

Fu Jiazhan nodded.

His gaze lingered on her red lips for a moment, and he took a deep breath, then calmly stepped back, increasing the distance between them.

“Rest a little longer.”

Ruan Yōu nodded.

Blushing, she ran back to the bed, curled up under the blanket, revealing only a pair of watery eyes.

Fu Jiazhan said, “Yōuyōu, turn away from me.”

Ruan Yōu’s frail voice emerged, uttering just a few small words, scratching at his heart like cat claws.

“Why?”

“I’ve always wanted to keep looking.”

“I don’t want to turn around, I just want to keep looking.”

Unable to walk away.

Ruan Yōu’s face turned red, and she quickly turned away, saying, “Hurry, go away.”

Fu Jiazhan chuckled, stood there watching for a while, then gently closed the door and left.

Ruan Yōu suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.

She raised her left hand, looked at her pinky, and happily nestled in the blanket, covering her face.

Taw’s Note: I still can’t find a fixed time for updates, so maybe every 2 or 3 days. Since there are only 7 chapters left before this novel ends, perhaps I can finish translating it by the end of February or early March. (^∇^)ノ♪
