Chapter 133 – Hey Friend, Have You Heard of ‘Siscon’? (33)
Okay, it’s all his fault again.
Lu Buchi helplessly smiled, “Yes, yes, can we go out now?”
Yan Luo raised her little head, hmphed, crawled out from his embrace, straightened her clothes, ignored him, and trotted outside.
Watching her small figure, it seemed like she was genuinely angry.
Lu Buchi couldn’t help but chuckle lightly, stood up as well, straightened the clothes messed up by this little one, and quickly followed her.
The methods of governance between the Empire and the Alliance are quite different; the Alliance has a presidential system while the Empire is ruled by the Imperial Family.
Just as they disembarked from the starship, the Imperial Guards wearing white uniforms outside had already formed up.
Although Yan Luo’s background is indeed strong enough, it’s not enough to make the Empire show such a stance.
Yan Luo’s steps paused slightly as she saw a silver-white car passing by from the sky on the other side, then slowly stopping there.
The car door opened, and a young man with light golden hair walked down from above with an enchanting smile.
Yan Luo squinted slightly; of course, she knew this person, Di Tian1, the second prince of the Empire and also someone the Alliance warned her to be cautious of.
There was a faint smile at the corner of Di Tian’s lips as his gaze continuously assessed Yan Luo.
Yan Luo, wearing a simple light blue dress, with a slender waist, the hem of the dress spread out around her, swaying slightly, two pure white ribbons tied into a large bow from the chest, fluttering slightly behind her waist.
Her small face was even more stunning, with glass-like black eyes, fair and moist skin, cherry lips slightly tinted, her jet-black long hair swaying behind her, and what’s even sweeter was the unique scent in the air that attracted Ability Users to Adjusters.
Di Tian’s casual gaze became a bit absent-minded, tinged with a hint of infatuation.
That infatuated look made Yan Luo frowned; even before Di Tian approached, Lu Buchi had already walked up from behind her, blocking Di Tian’s gaze.
The aura emanating from Lu Buchi made Di Tian warily narrow his eyes, then he glanced at the epaulettes on Lu Buchi’s shoulders, and the hint of wariness in his eyes instantly subsided, replaced by a friendly smile as he strode over.
“So you’re Major General Lu, right? I’m Di Tian, the Second Prince of the Empire, specially sent by Father to welcome you both.” With that said, Di Tian slightly shifted his body, flashing a brilliant smile as he reached out his hand towards Yan Luo, who was blocked by Lu Buchi, “Miss Yan, nice to meet you.”
Lu Buchi glanced at the hand reaching towards Yan Luo. Seeing the girl behind him hesitated, but then was about to shake hands with this guy who exuded malicious intent, a hint of darkness flashed in Lu Buchi’s eyes.
“Pleasure to meet you.”
Her hand reached out faintly, shook Di Tian’s hand, then immediately retracted.
Di Tian’s expression couldn’t help but darken slightly. Originally, he was reaching out to Yan Luo, but because Lu Buchi blocked her, he couldn’t extend it further. Feeling a bit embarrassed, he withdrew his hand awkwardly.
Looking at Lu Buchi, Di Tian couldn’t help but twitch his lips slightly, a hint of hidden disdain flashed in his light golden eyes.
What an ignorant fellow. Yan Luo blinked from behind, looking at Di Tian’s unpleasant expression, then glanced at Lu Buchi, who seemed completely innocent as if he had no idea what he had done. She couldn’t help but curl her lips slightly.
Well done, Elder Brother! ︿( ̄︶ ̄)︿
- the ‘Di’ in Di Tian is 帝 (dì) literally means Emperor, but since he’s the Prince, the ‘Di’ here could be a surname or maybe a title for Imperial Family member. I’m assuming it to be a surname for now, so I’m leaving it as Di. ↩︎
