Chapter 107 – Hey Friend, Have You Heard of ‘Siscon’? (7)
His movements were very subtle, but Yan Luo still sensitively noticed them. Her eyes blinked slightly as she continued to smile and pulled Lu Buchi into the room.
What strength could a five or six-year-old girl have? Lu Buchi looked at her sweaty forehead as she led the way, but he still followed.
Dragged to the bedside, the little girl finally let go of his hand, turned back, grabbed a small stool, and ran to the bedside.
Her big watery eyes blinked, “Elder Brother, you must be tired, right? Why didn’t you rest on the car just now? Dad said you’re not a good child like this. Why don’t you lie down and rest, Luoluo will tell you a story, okay?”
Children are really unpredictable… Lu Buchi watched her move the stool and run over, but he hadn’t expected her to put down the stool and say such words.
He couldn’t help but choke, then, under Yan Luo’s strong insistence, he sat on the bed and leaned back.
His pair of black eyes quietly looked at Yan Luo sitting on the small stool in front of him, as if trying to see through what she was thinking.
Facing the gaze of a male god with a blackening value of 96, Yan Luo trembled inwardly but maintained a calm demeanor as she activated the personal terminal implanted in her wrist shortly after birth.
This advanced information device was not something ordinary people could possess.
A faint blue screen appeared in front of her, accompanied by some cold system prompts. Yan Luo opened the storage files on her terminal and successfully found some fairy tales from this dimension.
Choosing one at random, Yan Luo cleared her throat and began to read.
Her soft and gentle voice echoed in his ears without any stumbling. Lu Buchi looked at her, listened to the somewhat childish fairy tale, feeling a bit amused and helpless.
His heart, however, strangely calmed down. The cacophony of war and gunfire that had been raging in his ears was slowly replaced by the voice of this little girl.
With unknown emotions in his heart, he quietly listened for a while. Lu Buchi turned his head slightly to glance out the window.
The azure sky, the verdant leaves, occasional birds flying by—a scene of tranquility and peace that constantly reminded Lu Buchi that this place was nothing like where he had lived before.
The soft voice gradually diminished, suddenly stuttered, and Lu Buchi snapped out of his thoughts, turning to look at the little girl.
He saw Yan Luo yawning slightly, a tear glistening in the corner of her eye, rubbing it with her small hand, looking drowsy.
Clearly, she had just woken up not long ago, but after reading for a while, she became sleepy again.
Seeing Lu Buchi looking over, the little girl straightened up, somewhat lacking in confidence, murmuring, “I didn’t sleep well yesterday, so I’m so tired today.”
Lu Buchi looked at her expression, his lips couldn’t help but curl up slightly, then he restrained himself. After reading a few more lines, Yan Luo yawned again, feeling the hardness of the stool beneath her.
Her big eyes looked around, then drifted to the empty space next to Lu Buchi.
Her soft, milky-scented body approached without touching him at all, making Lu Buchi’s body stiffen slightly. Although the bed was large, it was still a bit too close. This unfamiliar atmosphere made Lu Buchi feel uncomfortable all over.
“Um… Luoluo will lie down and tell you the story, okay? Elder Brother, you can close your eyes for a while, and you’ll fall asleep.” With a hint of hesitation in her voice, Yan Luo continued without waiting for Lu Buchi to say anything.
