The car’s interior was warmed by the heater. The slow, intertwined breaths became heavier and faster, and the friction between two winter men’s coats in the quiet car produced a faint, distinct sound.
It felt as though they had fallen under an evil spell.
When the mind cooled down, all the senses returned.
